Everything you think you know has changed. Humans are no longer considered the dominant ones, even though they still outnumber the evil vampires. Everyone is in constant danger and the ones unfortunate enough to meet with these Volturi are either killed and eaten right away or they are put to work as slaves in the places where the vampires roam free. No where is safe. No one is safe.
The streets are eerily empty as I walk through them. This isn’t my world anymore. Of course, it hasn’t been my world for eighteen months but that still doesn’t mean seeing the streets like this doesn’t scare me to death. I’m a vampire now, but to think that someone would want to kill these humans is of the same species as me, it makes me sick to my stomach. They have exposed us all and while some people join the resistance and trust us who are part of the resistance, there are some that don’t trust any of us. I can’t blame them, if I had been one of them who had found out vampires existed - I wouldn’t know who to trust. I want to help them but I fear that it’s already too late to do anything. I guess I just have to hope and pray that we can get through this. It’s not going to be easy.

The year is 2009 and Bella has been a vampire for eighteen months. But things started to go wrong as soon as she and Edward said ‘I do’. A rouge member of the Volturi named Kellan Adonis started to worm his way back into the group that had thrown him out. He began to poison those deep within the Volturi against it’s then leaders, Aro, Caius and Marcus. It worked and within just a few short months most of the Volturi guard were on Kellan’s side. And then, the leaders were imprisoned in their own castle in Volterra. Kellan took his place as leader and then the plan started. He had many people on his side and other vampires joined him in time. They started to hit cities all over the world. Vampires everywhere, mayhem ensued. There was no safe place and the government, not really knowing what the hell to do put a curfew in force - each country had it’s own curfew’s. Forks and it’s surrounding towns and cities have a curfew of 7:30pm but it’s usually dead before then. Anyone unfortunate people left out are either killed straight out or used as slaves and things for the vampires.
The Quileute and other tribes all over America are unsure of where their allegiances should lie. The vampires have been their enemies for generations. But to let people die like they are is something they cannot fathom. Sam Uley lost his fiancée when the vampires first came to Forks and he has now become engaged to one Leah Clearwater, they want to help but Jacob is staying neutral. He still can’t forgive the Cullen’s for taking Bella away from him. With the La Push truibe split in two it’s only making things worse because there are werewolves out there who are joining Kellan’s vampires because they feel the fight is lost to those of the resistance.
Carlisle Cullen leads this resistance and there are more and more joining it day by day. Humans who want their world back but trust that Carlisle and the vampires that fight with him are true and good. With Bella’s old school friends on side and her parents it’s looking hopeful, but they need to spread their cause to Europe and more importantly Volterra in Italy to overthrow Kellan’s rule and free the original leaders of the Volturi. A few of those who are still Loyal to the trio like Heidi, Jane and Alec have stayed in Kellan’s favour by saying they throw themselves in with him. But of course, this is just a cover until the time is right and they can begin to set things in motion to rid themselves of Kellan for good. His newborns are causing havoc and things are getting hand but Carlisle, Edward, Bella and the rest of the Cullen’s will not back down. It’s their fight and they won’t stop until there is a winner. Let’s hope it’s them and hope is on their side when it’s a case of Me against the world.
