handy html codes, reference sheet to use when making posts

Okay! So, basically I just wanted to post this page to be helpful to everyone, including myself. I just wanted to write up the basic html codes for doing different things to your text when you're typing up posts and what not. I know that I was completely confused when I came onto invisionfree boards because all the codes were so different then from what I was used to. I know that there are help buttons at the top of where you type, but this can just be a reference sheet to save when/if you type things up in Word or something, so hah! lol. So here we go!

Just remove the stars to make them work:

bold text = [*b]text here[*/b]

italic text = [*i]text here[*/i]

underlined text = [*u]text here[*/u]

change font style = [*font=FONTNAME]text here[*/font]
--- just a note. when changing your font style, keep to the ones that the site lists for you in the drop down box. because if you don't, the text you chose may not be compatable with everyone else's computers, so they won't even see the difference anyway. Typically there are always Arial, Times, Courier, Impact, Geneva, and Optima. But you can always use Georgia, too.

change size = [*size=SIZE#]text here[*/size]

change color = [*color=COLORNAMEOR#]text here[*/color]
--- now with the colors you can either type in a name for the color(they're listed in the drop down box) or you can go look up a color here or here, and use it's letters and numbers that they provide you. EX: [*color=6633CC]text here[*/color]

providing a link = [*URL=theURLgoeshere]text/name of link here[*/URL]

quoting text = [*quote]text here[*/quote]
