 Gentlemen. Detectives. Colleagues.
Meet Jane Doe 107. She was found in downtown Manhattan,
buried in a small park. Her head is missing as well as her hands
which suggests that her killer did not want her to be identified.
The body shows signs of multiple beatings and possible rape.
A bag of money estimating about three thousand dollars was
found next to her.
Now, meet John Doe 95. Found in same place as Jane Doe 107,
not more than three feet away. His entire body is in tact but the
body is much more composed than Jane Doe 107. Hands and
feet were tied together. The mouth was taped shut. Another
bag of money estimating about five thousand dollars was found
along with him.
After some investigating, it now seems the two bodies may be
somehow linked together but there are no clues as to how or
why. Because the bodies are so decomposed, it’s impossible
to find out much more. With so little information to work on, it’s
hard to know where to start. The SVU has tried to work on
finding more clues but have come up empty. The bodies have
been taken by the Jeffersonian Institute in hopes of being able
to identify them. Once the bodies have been identified, the
case can move forward.
Pardon me. I seem to be getting a call from the Jeffersonian.
Ah. Good news! John Doe 95 has been identified at the Jeffersonian
Institute as Richard Riley. Give me a moment to check my records. Yes,
the last place Richard Riley was seen alive was at a gas station in
down town LA. His surviving family is his sister, Anjelika Riley, who
is living in suburban LA and his wife, Serena Riley, who has been
missing for the past two years. Before he disappeared, neighbors
remember hearing him argue with a woman in house. Most believe it
to be his sister, Moira. The only things they remember hearing is
something about ‘money’ and ‘protection’. It is to be believed and
assumed that the two were involved I some kind of money problems.
We should start investigating further. We believe Jane Doe 107 is
the body of Serena Filey. If this is so, we should start questioning
Mr. Riley's sister, Anjelika. I suggest we proceed with caution. This
isn't your garden variety torture. She also has two kids. Let's not
disrupt their lives any more than we have to. Tomorrow, I will call
Don Eppes with FBI in LA and send him this information. I expect we
get results soon from the Jeffersonian on Jane Doe 107. Until then,
Anjelika Riley is our prime suspect.
