THE COMMITTEE
HERE IS A LIST OF THE POSITIONS WITHIN THE COMMITTEE AND THE CHARACTERS WHO HOLD THEM.

The highest form of the Committee is called the "Conclave of Elders," so everyone involved is technically an Elder. However, some Elders have more prominent roles in the coven than others. The Blue Blood hierarchy is as follows:

REGIS
The Regis acts as the leader over a coven of Blue Bloods. Their say is final; they control the Committee. However, if a coven feels that their current Regis is unfit, they may dismiss him with a "White Vote," a process that elects a replacement.

Current:
The role of Regis has currently been suspended by the surviving Elders.
Past:
Lawrence Van Alen, murdered by Leviathan in Brazil, mid 2008
Charles Force, dismissed via the White Vote, early 2008
REGENT
A coven's Regent serves under a Regis much like a vice-president. The Regent is allowed to make minors calls within the Committee, but must consult the Regis before making important decisions.

Current:
The role of Regent has currently been suspended by the surviving Elders.
Past:
Nan Cutler, murdered by Mimi Force for treason in Brazil, late 2008
CHIEF WARDEN
The Chief Warden acts as a link between the Wardens and the Regis and Regent. Wardens report to the Chief who then reports to the Regis or Regent, depending on the severity of issues and who's available.

Current:
Georgiana Swift and Horace Wright, self-appointed to rule the conclave in its time of crisis
Past:
Edmund Olerich, murdered by Silver Bloods in Brazil, mid 2008
Priscilla Dupont, murdered by a conjured Silver Blood in the Repository, early 2008
WARDENS
A Warden is an older, respected member of the Blue Blood community who has been invited to take part in leading the Committee. Wardens oversee the Blue Blood population and see that the coven's laws are enforced. They are the most knowledgeable of their kind, having seen enough in their present lifetimes to know who's good and who's trouble. Wardens are typically over the age of thirty.

ELDERS
Elders are merely prominent members of the Blue Bloods, all over the age of twenty-one. They have no special position but their opinions do count in decisions the Committee rules upon.

VENATORS
Venators are not members of the Conclave of Elders, but they do play a significant role within the Blue Blood community. Venators, also known as "Truth Seekers," are the Committee's secret police. At times, they go undercover on assignment to reveal truths about the activities of other vampires Their job is to find traitors to the Blue Blood cause and to make sure that the Blue Blood secret stays secret. Venators are unique in that they can be much younger than Wardens, even in their late teens or early twenties, depending on the maturity and responsibility of an applicant.
