DISTINGUISHING FEATURES: Alex has a very dark birth mark on the back of his right thigh that is about the size of an apple.
OVERALL APPEARANCE: At first glance, you might think that Alex is your typical pretty boy. And you would be right with that assumption. He easily spends two hours preparing himself for an average day of school; teasing his hair into perfection and making sure that his clothes are fabulously coordinated. Alex's body is somewhat of an annoyance to him because his legs are in fact longer than his torso, making him feel as though his body is disproportionate. People rarely notice this 'flaw', though. His body is overall pretty average when it comes to weight. Muscles are present on his abs, chest, arms and legs, although by no means is he ripped. His icy blue eyes are extremely intense, and some people can't find themselves able to hold a gaze into them for long periods of time. His deep black hair is an uncommon trait, and that pleases Alex.

In the fashion world, Alex has a tendency to shop at American Apparel and Urban Outfitters versus J. Crew and Banana Republic. This doesn't mean, however, that he isn't afraid to break out some single breasted Gucci coats. On a typical school day, though, Alex is set with some skinny jeans and a duffle coat. His fashion attitude changes when he is invited to anything that requires formality. Alex has to wear the trendiest suits that can be found. This is an absolute for him. For this reason, Alex is always a vision at any formal event.

• The Rain - Alex has always enjoyed the rain. Even as a child, Alex always looked forward to rain. He loves to stand in the rain catching raindrops on his tongue. The smell of the rain also adds to the overall joy that is felt by Alex when it rains.

• Swimming - Alex attended swimming lessons as a child and instantly fell in love with it. He doesn't swim competitively, but could . . .

• Reading - He was taught at a very young age how to read by Maria, his conduit (more about her later!), and has been a vivacious reader ever since. He simply devours books, loving the feeling of being transported to exotic places and situations.

• Trying new foods - Even though his taste for Red Blood food has waned as his transformation nears completion, Alex could be a professional food critic. He loves to explore foods from other cultures especially because he feels that food represents immense amounts of information about a culture.

• Cooking - Alex has been an avid chef since he was about nine years of age. His conduit, Maria (also his Nanny), taught him how to cook basic Spanish food and he fell in love with it from there. He loved to offer good food to people, it's one of his ways of showing affection.

• Traveling - This goes along with Alex's love for other cultures and peoples of the world. Alex travels when can, although as of late, his traveling has been impeded by school work

• History Class (any sort) - This love also goes along with Alex's love of things foreign to him. When he is in history class, he feels like he is taking glimpses at the peopl themselves, learning their story.

•Dogs - This is not just because dogs hold a natural affinity for him, but he genuinely loves dogs. He sees them as little people that have their own unique personalities and everything.

• The Color Azure - This is Alex's favorite color. Of all time. And it might seem tacky because it's the same color as his blood, but he loves the color because it reminds him of the sky and water - two of his other favorite things.

• Grocery Shopping - This walks hand in hand with the cooking bit, but Alex loves to go to the corner grocery store and walk around. He loves to discover new foods and try new recipes!

• Music - Alex both plays the piano and sings, both beautifully. He was taught by his mother, who used to play at formal concerts all around New York. He plays modern music instead of classical and often just sings along.

Abneigungen /// Dislikes:

• Closed-Mindedness - This incenses Alex. He was raised to be open to all situations and people and when others blatantly show that they are neanderthals, he's quickl to point it out.

• Poorly Cooked Food - Alex is reasonably good chef, and therefore he has a higher standard than most when it comes to food. He is not afraid to send things back to the chef if he believes that the dish is terrible. He believes that you have to set standards with some things.

• Bright and Sunny Days - Alex is a fan of the rain and snow, and thus he deplores the harsh Sun. This has nothing to do with the fact that he's a Blue Blood, because the Sun's rays are harmless against his body - it's more of a personal preference.

• His Grandparents - His Grandfather and Grandmother are a touchy subject for Alex. He feels as though his Grandparents still baby him constantly, and in all honesty, the do. But Alex fails to see that this 'babying' is done merely out of love and nuture from his Grandparents.

• 'Showy' cars - Alex feels that there is no need for people to flaunt their wealth on something that can only depreciate in value. On the otherhand, Alex does understand that the CEO of a major media conglomerate isn't going to drive a Kia. But he doesn't think that the Maserati is a needed.

• Long, stenuous shopping sprees - Being the little fashionisto that Alex is, he gets dragged along with his 'girlfriends' all the time to go shopping. Alex can get into shopping at maybe two, three, even four or five shops, but when the store count hits fifteen, he feels that the shopping got a little excessive and often becomes moody and dissinterested. To an extreme.

• Animal cruelty - Alex is an animal advocate. He isn't apart of PETA or anything and he isn't a vegetarian or vegan, but he does his fair shar of work, volunteering at countless animal shelters and donating money frequently to the ASPCA.

• Tapping noises - Nothing is more irritating to Alex than some guy playing the drums on his French book while Alex is trying to learn. Alex doesn't bring his Piano into the room and play along does he? No.

• Teachers who don't know what they're doing - Being a Blue Blood, Alex is at the top of his class in school. But nothing grinds on Alex like a teacher who literally has to go home every night and read the textbook to be able to lecture the next day. If you are going to teach, you better know what you are teaching. Please don't just fly by the seat of your pants.

• Loud people - Again, another trait that Alex views as uneeded. This says to Alex that one lacks self control, and to him: that's unacceptable. He prefers a more formal speaking tone, one that shows self constraint.

Abitudini /// Habits:

• Translating things constantly into different languages - Alex speaks Italian, French, Spanish, and English fluently. And German on the side. Because of this, his mind is constantly racing, translating phrases that people have said or thoughts of his own constantly. He thinks that this keeps his ability sharp.

• Reading at least one hour before bed - This might seem like a cute or funny thing, but to Alex this is serious. Alex must read at least one hour before he goes to sleep. It doesn't matter how badly he wants to sleep, he must do it. This a major OCD ritual of his.

• Wrting his name in cursive on the top of every school paper - Alex thinks that his names simply looks better when it's written in his oh-so-perfect scripty writing. Print is too generic and boring for him, and that doesn't fly.

Formal/Frosty Side
Alex tends to become highly formal when he is with someone he doesn't know that well or when he is with someone he loathes. This front makes others feel as though Alex is a frosty person, but that is all apart of the plan. Alex feels that if he's cold enough with someone, there is less of a chance for conflict. This layer also serves a purpose of letting Alex examine you, letting him judge you from a safe distance. This layer might seem uneeded by some, but to Alex it is imperative because it acts as his first line of defense against people who might hurt him. And yes, Alex is awfully cautious about people.

Funny/Snarky/Sarcastic Side
Once the icy first layer has melted off, Alex becomes a suprisingly vibrant and funny person. Most of his friends lie here, although there are a few that enjoy this side and the next side. He is known for his acidically sarcastic humor and jokes, and some people really enjoy that. Others hate it and feel as though Alex is condescedning to them, flaunting his intellegence. His remarks don't usually hold malice, but can be pointed (rarely). This is part of Alex's true personality, although, he would argue that it is really only one half. If someone is only experiencing this side, then not enough trust has been built up to know the 'true Alex'. Only a handful of people can see him for him true self.

Serious/Intellectual/Analytical Side
This is Alex's core, his self deep down and in his heart of hearts he's a scholor and a deep thinker. This might have something to do with him being the Archangel of Logic, but who kniows? Alex loves to have deep conversations with people about almost anything and he things that even the smallest things about people can mean big things. He calculates such things as word choice and body movement meticulously. In addition to his true self affecting personal relationships, it drives him to learn and to read obssesively. This is the tree trunk from which the roots and limbs of Alex spring forth from. This side also holds a side that drives much of his life and this is the fact that he is a strong advocate of Justice. In a way he might seem self-righteous to some, but his goals are altrusistic in that he wants everyone to be able to have 'justice' and 'what they deserve'. A great example of this comes from the poilitical spectrum. (Note: I'm not endorsing a certain stance on this issue. This is just my character. ) Alex is a strong believer in Universal Healthcare. He thinks that it's wrong for people to go without healthcare because they simply can't afford it. He sees that as selfishness and feels that the only way to do right by people is to give everyone healthcare.

Quick Summary
Alex is a highly intellegent smartass. He can be quite distant if he doesn't like you are if he doesn't know you that well, but once you are friends with him there is an amazing change in personality. He becomes a funny and zesty person that commingles with a intellectual base, although the true scholar inside of Alex doesn't shine through unless you are extremely good friends with him. This comes down to the fact that Alex is uncomfortable with sharing deep, philosophical opinions with those that he doesn't trust. He's too afraid of being regected and made fun of for his thoughts.

HISTORY
Le Famille /// The Family

PARENTS:

• Jean-Luc L'Blanc - The father of Alex, Jean-Luc is the President and CEO of L'Blanc Advertising, a massive advertising conglomerate that has tons of famous clients that you would surely know. But it's not the L'Blanc style to namedrop. Jean-Luc is not apart of the elite council, but is a highly influential Warden. His wispy salt and pepper hair and strong deep eyes make him appear as though he isn't related to Alex, but upon further inspection, there are many features that they share, such as their nose and lips. He's a lively and spirited man that loves his family and Coven.
• Matilda L'Blanc - The mother of Alex, Matilda is a highly sucessful fashion editor for Vogue. She has long, flowing black hair just like Alex in addition to the same icy blue eyes. She is much more recluse than her husband, being quite distant and focused at times. She, however, holds a deep love and passion for her family and Coven.
SIBLINGS: Alex is an only child.
OTHER FAMILY:
• the L'Blanc Grandparents - The parents of Jean-Luc live only down the street from the L'Blanc's townhome. Marie and Jacques are of constant annoyance to Alex because of their incessant babying of Alex. They don't want him to grow up and constantly offer to do simple tasks for him, such as wiping his mouth, tucking in his shirt, or even tying his shoes. This drives Alex up the wall. But one must realize that Alex is their only grandchild and grandchildren 'always grow up too fast'.
• the Ingram Grandparents - The parents of Matilda live in Rome, Italy, seemingly just for kicks. Getrude and William move randomly to a new city about every five years or so, not really wanting to live in one place for long periods. Alex adores Gertrude and William for their interesting lifestyle and love of other culture. They're supposedly moving to Dubai soon.
FAMILIARS: None as of now. Alex is waiting for the right person, not necessarily until he is eighteen.
CONDUIT(S):
• Maria Luisa Aura Velazquez-Hernando Cruz de Cristo - Maria has been Alex's counduit since he was four. At that point, Maria was only 12.
PETS:
• Maximilien Ferdinand L'Blanc - A Softcoated Wheaten Terrier, Max is you typical Wheaten - energetic and loving. He is Alex's guardian and Max considers Alex to be his best friend.

HOW THEY FOUND OUT ABOUT THE COMMITTEE:
Alex received a letter from the Junior Committee and attended a meeting. (More in the overall history)
POWERS THEY EXCEL AT:
• Glom - Alex shows promise in Glom, but it's yet to be determined if he will end up with a strong grasp of it.
OVERALL HISTORY:
Alex was born to Jean-Luc and Matilda L'Blanc on June 18th, 1992. His parents were extremely happy with his birth, and it was only Alex that they wanted. His parents talked many times about children and they both decided that they only wanted on child. It was simply their preference. His was born a happy and healthy baby. The only problem was that now that Matilda and Jean-Luc had no one to watch their child. They both had and still have tremendously busy careers and had no time to take care of their child.

With their immense wealth, they easily hired a nanny. This nanny was okay, but much to the L'Blanc's chargin, the nanny did not stimulate their baby. She would merely feed him, change him, and leave him. There was no playing with their child at all. When this was discovered after about a year by simply asking their child if his nanny played with him, she was promptly fired. The family contacted one of the ex-conduits that was a family friend and she watched Alex for approximately three years. She was a phenominal nanny and Alex loved her, but she was extremely old, easily pushing the upper eighties and she didn't fee like she could take care of Alex any longer. This was when Jacques L'Blanc called on the De Cristo family that had served the L'Blanc family before. He asked the family for assistance and they moved to New York from Seville in a heart-beat, remembering the wonderful L'Blanc family. Julio (the father), Adele (the mother), Flora (older sister), and Maria De Cristo came to aid the powerful L'Blanc.

Maria quickly took to Alex, playing with him and even beginning to teach him Spanish. The two became best of friends. One day she was asked if she would like to be Alex's Conduit because at this point, Alex didn't have one. She gladly accepted the offer. Through the next ten years, Maria taught Alex Spanish (her native tongue) and Italian (her mother was from Naples). The bond was strong between the two and Alex always looked up to Maria as sister. To this day, Maria is considered more of a family member.

The introduction of Maria also sparked a profound interest in Alex of all things foreign and new. She taught him as much as she possibly could about Spain, including regional differences such as language, religion, and even skin color and Alex abosolutely loved it. Alex then grew, excelling in classes, especially in History and Language courses (he takes German and Latin. He already knew Spanish and Italian from Maria and his father taught him French from an early age.)

One day, though, when he was 15, a letter was sent to Alex, inviting him to attend a Junior Blood Bank Committee meeting. He was actually planning on not going until he talked to his parents about the matter. They, of course, strongly encouraged Alex, telling him that community service was the cornerstone of any L'Blanc or Ingram, not to mention a responsible citizen of a community. So, falling into the guilt trip, Alex attends the meeting and learns everything. After a few months, RMS started to kick in, most likely his life as Alexander Hamilton because he was also a resident of New York City, more specifically Manhattan. This freaked him out pretty badly, but he was calmed by his mother, who explained that it was completely normal. These flashbacks increased and still happen today, although he is not bothered by them at all today, in fact he thinks that they are rather interesting. With his manifestation has come hints that his glom will be strong. He was sitting in AP European History class one day last year when he could feel peoples consciouses. He didn't push into their minds, but rather waded through them, acknowleding their existence. He shows the one of the strongest promises in the glom department for his age.

Hey Andrew, just a few quick edits and I'll be able to accept you!

First off I'd like to congratulate you on an over all excellent application. There were just a couple things out of place. I'm sure you'll clear them up in no time.

-The first thing I noticed is that you have no face claim. To be accepted on this board you need a face claim. I was kind of confused why you had a picture of your character but you said that you have no play by in the space allotted. If it was a mistake I totally understand, but if you don't have a play by I'd be more than happy to help you find a perfect one.

- Next is the fact that you've stated that he was born at a medical hospital. Blue bloods do not entrust the hands of red bloods what-so-ever. Blue bloods have their own doctors that are conduits that they go to for everything (which is not that much because Blue bloods don't get sick). So to be born in a hospital would be against code and highly unlikely.

-You said that his family adopted a twelve year old conduit nanny. Although it fits its not very acceptable, because of the fact that she was twelve years old when they hired her to be a four year old's nanny. Nanny's are usually 18 and able to drive and take care of a child. What I want to know is was she caring for this child like a nanny should? What about her childhood? How did she get him around? How did it look to red bloods? It seems almost unfair to put the pressure of caring for a four year old blue blood on to such a young conduit. I also wonder why the family didn't just move her family to New York to care for their family. Do you think you could clear this up for me? You don't have to change her age per-say, but I would like you to think it over and, perhaps, formulate something that goes perfectly with Alex's history.

-The last thing I want to point out is the fact that he's powerful at the glom. This is more of a reminder than anything. Just know that he is still young and growing, it is not implausible that he has grown to become strong in this area, but it's highly unlikely that he is greatly powerful. He's still a growing boy and he has so much more to learn and more skill to gain. It's okay for him to be powerful, just not too powerful...yet.
