Welcome!

welcome
b l o o d d i a m o n d s is a slash roleplay, rated P G - 1 3, and geared more towards the mature crowd, which means you have to have a modicum of maturity toactually post and participate. Slash, however, isn't the only coupling here; we al so have Het and Gen as well, slash is just featured because it makes the world go round.

This RP is also for those roleplayers that want to focus more plot with character development without all the big explosions, but you can definately have those too.

No sir
Well I don't wanna be the blame, not anymore
It's your turn to take a seat
We're settling the final score

She was running. Her legs were sore, but she pushed herself harder. It had been a long time since Landyn Rianye Michaels had run to keep in shape. She had decided now was the time to get off her ass. Her younger sister Tahlia was running The AdVantage for a while, and had said she would call if she needed Landyn. Business had been slow for a while, and the two girls took alternate nights off. Ever since Jessyka and Caitlyne Chandri had come to live with them, it seemed like she never got time alone to think or plan stuff for the club. She kept running until she hit a clearing in the midst of all the trees, and finally came to rest, stretching her legs some more before sitting on the ground. She was a good runner, even though she hadn't been running in almost twenty years. She was a vampire, and a stunningly nice one. Her younger sister Tahlia, was too, along with Jess and Cait. She lay out on the grass, and just thought.

And why do we like to hurt so much?

I can't decide
You have made it harder just to go on
And why, all the possibilities
Well I was wrong

Her stunningly unique crimson-violet eyes glittered underneath the night sky, her black and red hair fanning out behind her head. Her eyes were surrounded by her light makeup, only a light violet and black, with a deep black eyeliner. Her lightly tanned skin glowed with health, and her 5ft 11in, 139.6 pound, size 5 frame was clad in a tight fit white tee and loose shorts, her running shoes basic black converse. Landyn smiled lightly, her perfectly straight, white teeth gleamed as she did, and she hummed a soft tune to herself. Her voice was clear as bells and as soft as angel's wings, her pitch perfect. She was a talented person, and enjoyed creating music for other people to listen to. Landyn was unique, and didn't expect anything from anyone.

That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, woah

I wonder
How am I supposed to feel when you're not here?
Cuz I've burned every bridge I ever built
When you were here

She lay out on the grass for a little bit longer, then sat up when she heard a noise. She was still wary, for there were a few vampires who wanted to her kill her. Her right hand went immediately to one of the 9mm handguns she kept on her at all times. Her eyes flickered over the brush line, and she frowned when she smelled the air. She didn't like it. It smelled unfamiliar to her. She kept her hand on her pistol as she slowly stood, crouching in the shadows. She had never been a trusting person, even when she had been human. Since she'd been bitten, nothing had really changed. She kept her eyes peeled over in the direction of the lake, the moonlight skipping the top of the unmoving water. It was quiet. Too quiet.

I still try
Holding on to silly things, I never learn
Oh why, all the possibilities
I'm sure you've heard

That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
I drowned out all my sense with the sound of its beating (beating)
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, woah

Landyn waited. She was ready. She wasn't going to get caught unprepared. Again. She started when she heard the cracking of branches and the rustling of leaves, and glanced around slowly. Her eyes adjusted to the lack of light, and she could easily sense there was at least one human hanging around the area. Stupid humans.....never know the danger they put themselves in out here.] she thought bitterly as she prepared to defend both herself and the innocent. Landyn stayed crouched in that position ready to both spring to surprise and attack as well as protect. It was her way of life, and when she was alert enough, her instincts were insanely accurate. Tonite.....was one of those nights.

Hey, make your way to me, to me
And I'll always be just so inviting (so inviting)
If I ever start to think straight
This heart will start a riot in me
Let's start, start - hey!

Why do we like to hurt so much?
Oh, why do we like to hurt so much?
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah

That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
That's what you get when you let your heart win, woah
Now I can't trust myself with anything but this
And that's what you get when you let your heart win, woah

Temira walked through the trees, having escaped work for the night and not wanting to go home. Home was lonely and quiet, not that the night wasn't quiet too, but she loved it out in the dark and the calm. The moon beamed down on her face lighting her path just enough so that she wouldn't crash into a tree. It wasn't strange to have the moon as her only guide, she loathed the moonless nights the most.

Her face sparkled from the make-up she'd not bothered to take off. Dancing was her life, but there was one part of the job that she didn't enjoy. It was the part that made her want to be alone after every show. The touching, when men even brushed her to walk by it made her nervous beyond reason. Then she got outside and felt the kiss of the wind, it felt like she was being purified.

Temira's sweat pants swished around her legs as she broke into a run. She could see the lake now. The girl was so focused on the mesmerizing glass-like surface that she didn't notice the tree branches around her until they hit her bare arms. Temira cursed and bit back against the pain as she finally emerged from the forest.

Standing a few yards from the water's edge, Temira streched out her sore muscles. She looked around her and saw no one, though she felt she was being watched. The girl always felt someone was around, and she knew that her real father was always there watching her. She imagined he was disappointed in her choice of lifestyle, and then she got outside to an open space and knew he respected her decisions. "Father, I miss you. And I'm sorry I've made such a mess of my life."

Landyn blinked. The girl who had emerged onto the lakeshore wasn't exactly the type of human she'd been expecting to see. Nevertheless, it was very unlike Landyn to start a conversation with someone she didn't know. Thanks be to god that she carried her talent of mind reading to her current state, and used it to gain some insight on the human girl she watched from the shadows of the bushes. The eighteen year old vampire spent a good 20 minutes gaining something on the girl, and in the end, she sighed and took a good once-over of her study. Landyn noticed the girl sported a dancer's body, which pleased her, and multiple brusings, which did not. She frowned slightly, and shook her head. Don't get yourself caught up in human life. They'll only end up backstabbing you like before. she wiped the advice her "mother" had given her before disappearing. She scoffed lowly, and with a muffled curse, rose elegantly, and walked silently to the girl's side.

She lowered herself into a position some 50 feet away, so she wouldn't startle her with her presence, and let her true beauty shine. It was obvious to some humans that Landyn was not one of them, but others took a long time to figure it out. She smiled lightly, her bright smile one of her best features, and looked at the glistening waters sadly, knowing only she herself could see her reflection. Her black and red hair was straight up until three inches from the end, where it curled softly, and her crimson-violet eyes had changed to a deep blue {see here} , and she had silently changed into skinny jeans, black and white leather wedge boots, a white lace halter top, and a black suede jacket. Her business outfit. {outfit links at bottom of page}

Landyn glanced over at the girl, and looked back down. Her eye makeup was a simple smokey eye with a deep black eyeliner {see "eye" picture} and she wore a clear gloss on her naturally rose lips. She frowned at something, and quickly traced her fingers on the water to hide her reflection from herself. She hated it. She looked over, and after a few moments, finally spoke "Are you Temira Grey?" She had heard a lot about her from Dawltyn, and Tahlia too. She kept her voice low and soft, though to a human it would sound normal, and much like a sweet sounding bell. Her "scent" was unique. It was a blend of citrus fruits and rose, something that humans might find in a really expensive perfume. She watched, and waited for the girl called Temira to speak.

Temira's head shot up at the low sound. How had someone been able to sneak up on her so easily? The girl looked around until her gaze rested on a woman by the water. She swallowed her surprise and brushed a few wisps of hair behind her ear. The other woman knew her name, now that was spoky. Was she there on behalf of her mother and stepfather? If so Temira didn't want to hear what stupid excuse they had this time.

"Yes," she responded to the question. "But, who are you? And how do you know me?" She stepped away from the beauty and took a few slow deep breaths. The dancer's heart was pounding angrily in her chest. Temira wasn't usually afraid of other girls, in fact she normally welcomed the company.

The girl looked out over the water, feeling a slight bit strange around this other girl. There was something there that just didn't seem right and it made her uncomfortable. The wind seemed to pick up a little and push the water around her bare feet. It was a cold numbing feeling that brought her back to focus on the other being.
