Let me express my THRILL that I found Backgammon NJ! Played 30 to 40K games in 70's and 80's and was disappointed at ALL of the computer backgammon games until 1995 when I found a neural net programmed one that would only run in OS/2 warp. It kicked arse! Finally a computer backgammon game that played great! Fast forward to 2012 and I went searching for a neural net one that would run on Android and found BG NJ. It basically stomps me on a regular basis (I always play expert level) and I'm glad actually. After the sad boring experience with the free ones, I found this jewel! LOVE IT.
Recently switched my Samsung Galaxy S2 for an S4 and its screen resolution of 1920 by 1080 (I think) has shrunk the screen tremendously. BG NJ's about screen reports "Backgammon NJ for Android 2.1." Its WAY small fro old eyes. Is there any version existing or in the works for the screen to be larger on the Galaxy S4? (Android 4.22 btw). Thank You, Colossus |

Thanks for your comments.
Yes, we are working on native support for 1920 x 1080 resolution screens for our Android app available on Google Play. Android has a very large number of different screen resolutions. Since each board is currently hand-drawn from scratch, it's not possible for us to support every resolution natively, and it takes some time to add new resolutions. However, we try to support the most popular ones. - NJ Software |

Thanks. Is there a pinned location where releases are announced in here and the detail of the new features? |

We don't usually announce updates here, but the Google Play app on your device has settings that allow you to either auto-update apps or receive notifications of updates for apps that you've downloaded.
When an update is released, you can find a list of "What's new" in the app listing for BGNJ on Google Play. - NJ Software |

Thanks again for your response, though it was non-determinative. This screen is SO small on the Galaxy S4 you might expect some money back demands on new BGNJ sales especially since the S4 is expected to sell millions of units in 2013...

Since we're actively working on adding support for that resolution, you can expect it very soon, probably in the next week or two. But we can't give you an exact date because doing it right and testing it before release takes time. It's also not the only feature/fix that will be in the update.

BGNJ for Android v2.2 was just released on Google Play. It includes support for the 1920x1080 resolution screen of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
