Added the Kara no Kyoukai movies to my HD (and edited my first post) because the 3rd movie was friggin' awesome and maybe we should watch it in club. They're all stand alone movies and the other two are pretty good... but the 3rd one is fantastic.

They're stand alone movies?

I read the blurb on ANN and it does look interesting. A ufotable and Type-Moon production sounds like it has potential.

It doesn't go in chronological order and nothing that happens in one movie is needed to understand something in another movie.

The first movie was a kinda mediocre story about them solving some supernatural case. I don't really remember much about it because I watched it a while ago and didn't care for it all that much.

2nd movie was mostly about Shiki's past/personality and the two main characters dealing with a murder case.

3rd movie they dealt with a psycho voiced by Mamiko Noto and it was awesome.
