There is no real club FAQ, so I will post a club "history" so as some people realize this club has been around a while.

::How the idea came about::
There were some lazy kids sitting in Japanese I in the fall of 2005. They all loved anime and wanted to meet up and watch it, but there was no anime club or a place to meet at. After some discussion, the idea of a club came about. That and it would give us somewhere to talk about anime rather then in class while sensei was trying to teach us .

::How the club got started::
Amanda (Kimichou) took charge and was going to be in charge of the club/ getting it started. She asked sensei if she would be the club's advisor and she agreed. Then she had to get club officers. The first club officers of the club were Amanda as President, Dave (Knight0585 who is never on here anymore and barely was) as Vice-President, Jessie (Shizuka-chan) was Secretary, and Ryan (Huzzah-san) was Treasurer. In the spring of 2006, the club was official.

::The club's early days::
The club members were mainly members of Japanese I/II and people who would hang out in Fireside Lounge. A big reason the club size grew over time was because of Fireside. At first the club met once a week to watch anime, then a couple times a week, then whenever. Also anime screenings would occur at people's houses as well. At the end of the club's first semester, they had a party and some of us got our butts handed to us by sensei in DDR.

::The club's big event::
In spring of 2006, the club was informed we would have to perform a community service project once a year. We decided (after some deliberation) to hold an anime convention as our project. This little project was known as Shikkaricon.

::Shikkaricon::
Shikkaricon was first held November 2006. The first event had around 250 people in attendance and was a big hit. The second and final Shikkaricon was held October 27th, 2007. This event had over 300 people in attendance and we had voice actor Kyle Hebert as a guest. There were plans for a Shikkaricon 08 but after much discussion it was called off and the project pulled. The convention was staffed by club members and friends of club members.

::The Club Today::
The club today wouldn't have gotten to where it is without the original club members, some of whom are still at Bucks and took over the club as officers. The club has been around for almost 3 years now.

-What happened to the founder of the club?
Me? I graduated from Bucks in 2007 and handed the club over to my good friend Jessie (Shizuka-chan).

-What happened to her then?
Jessie left Bucks and handed the club over to Jessen.

-JESSEN?! Where is he?
He's still there be calm . He handed the club over to Ryan if I recall correctly for personal reasons.

-Who is sensei?
Sensei I'm referring to is Kimiko Manes. She has since retired and is no longer at Bucks CC.

-Did the club...do anything as a club?
Back in the day (and probably still now) the club would hang out at each other's houses and take trips to conventions.

-Will Shikkaricon come back?!
No. Shikkaricon is gone and done with and will probably be kept that way. A word to the wise...college students...DO NOT TAKE ON RUNNING AN ANIME CONVENTION. I could post a very long thing as to why (I'm on a board with con chairs, they know ALL about running conventions) but don't do it. It can hurt friendships, and cause extreme stress. I was con chair for the first Shikkaricon, then Jessie took over for the second (well technically we just swapped places). Also it costs ALOT of money. I had fun the first time around but the second time there was lots of anger and tears. Stick to attending cons or volunteering at them before trying to take on running on .
