Saturday July 4th, 2009 - Noon-5 pm - Fonthill's Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Experience "the good-old days" as Fonthill re-creates an early 20th century July Fourth Celebration. Festivities include a decorated bike parade, a town ball game (19th-century baseball), a watermelon eating contest, free old-time games and live music. Food is available or you can bid on a picnic basket. admission is $3 I know people who have gone and they say it is very fun. I propose we go en-mass with a huge lunch and enjoy the day. Everyone can bring something japanese or regular picnic food stuffs. afterward we can park in the lot by the willow grove airbase and watch their fireworks display lol |
