Bertram is a year older than her. I actually think he would sort of ignore her unless she said something that was just too good to pass up to turn around on her and annoy her with. She's sensitive and he's really tactless, so I guess that could create some conflict. I dunno. I'm out of ideas.

Yeah, i can imagine Emmeline getting really annoyed with him for some reason or another. Maybe she bumped into him and made him drop all his stuff? She's pretty stubborn, so knowing her she'd probably argue until one of them storms off.
