so. it ended up being a snake, since the word for pig
evaded me at the time. it was a pretty impressive snake, though, wouldn't you say?
we'll have to do a pig some other time. though probably not in
transfigurations again, as I think if we pulled any more stunts like today's,
mcgonagall might single-handedly toss us out of hogwarts.
she looks like a tough old lady, I wouldn't want to face her in a fight.
guess we'll have to find ways to amuse ourselves
in detention, though. wonder where she'll put us?
hm, and my quill quite refuses to be turned into a hawk,
stubborn thing.

and thanks for the demonstration, I think I have it now,
though my hawk seems to be a bit stupid - it's just sitting here.
