Okay, so maybe you're a bit confused by all of our ramblings. No worries! [: Here is a page to help you out with key things to know, go by, and so forth. This, however, will not give you an excuse to not read the other pages. This is simply to clear up some things. Also, if you have any questions about the rules, plot, whatever, feel free to ask it here and it will be answered and added to the list!
` Wait, so what's going on? Why are the Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students here?
The foreign students are here due to several attacks by Voldemort and his followers on the other schools, causing them to become not safe places, while Hogwarts seems to be the only place Voldemort does not attempt to attack. Due to this, the headmasters of the other schools were invited by Dumbledore to spend the semester at Hogwarts until everything is sorted out.
` So I can roleplay as any character I want?
Well not really, at least not at the moment. At the moment, we are only allowing canon characters from our list. Also, no adults as of now.
` Why no adults?
This is simply because on previous sites we've had, we've spent lots of time making up adult canon lists and sub-plots, but only one or two people join as adults. So, as of now, we'll only have students here. If people start to demand adult characters, then we can start to allow them.

` Why are all the canons fifth year and above?
We made all the canons older because no one seems to want to play anyone below those years, so we were just thinking of you guys. [: You're more than welcome to have siblings that are younger, or to roleplay younger characters once we allow originals.
` Can I use any face claim I want for my character?
No. We're starting to get more strict about that. We do not want random emo kids, MySpace celebs, DeviantArt hotties on here. Anyone who just randomly picks up a camera and takes a picture of themselves will not be allowed on here. Real celebrities like actors, singers, band members, models, etc. are definitely allowed. We would prefer if you used face claims that aren't as popular, for who wants to see Rachel Bilson ten million times, as pretty as she is, but whomever you want, really. c:
` Can my character be a prefect and on the Quidditch team?
Not really. We only have special exceptions to this rule for canons that were specifically stated that they were both, but otherwise no. We want to give more people a chance to have their character be something, so we don't want the same person taking up too many spots on the lists.
` How many characters can I have?
Usually we don't care how many you have, but as we're getting the site re-started, we will have a limit of four characters. Also, half have to be male. If you want them all to be male, that's fine, but if you want to play some females, at least half need to be males. Why? Simply because we don't want a bunch of girls running around, it gets a bit boring. So if you have a girl character, you next must be a guy.
` I've posted my application but no one has accepted me yet! Helloooo?
We apologize in advance for any delays we may have in accepting characters. Sometimes we take a while to read applications and need the opinion of the other admin, and they may not always be on. Other times we are just plain busy with random things on the site or in real life, so we'll have to ask you to be patient. Usually it doesn't take us more than two days to accept/deny a character. What can we say? Our sites are like crack..we can't stay away. XD
` I keep getting denied! Why? You guys suck!!
Well, we're sorry that you think we suck, but we are not going to be very lenient and easy to slip a mediocre application by. We like to have more experienced roleplayers on this site, and if we do not think that your application shows us that you would meet our standards, then yes we will deny you. Do not take it the wrong way, we are sure that you're a good roleplayer and maybe you could try again a bit later once you've gotten some more experience.
` Woah, why did you randomly delete my character?
It could be one of two reasons. The first would be that you didn't reply to one of our activity checks or didn't post in the absence board, so in a routine cleaning we got rid of you. If that's the case, then contact one of us and we'll discuss what to do. The second would be that you broke our rules severely or have gotten three warnings from one of the admins about your roleplaying. We will give warnings every time we see your posts start to get short and lack context. By the third, you will be deleted.
