A lot can happen in a year, especially in the city of Gotham, where it holds no exception.

For one thing, the city's streets have, for the most part, been clean of the scum that lurks around the corners. Through the combined efforts of the late Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes, where their deaths have not been completely in vain. They made it possible to have the streets, even for a short while, safe to take a walk at night. Of course that's not to say that it's completely rid of the rats that pray on weak, there are still those that wish to risk their luck with Batman stalking the shadows.

However, Batman has made himself quiet scarce the last few months. The constant sightings of the caped crusader have slowed considerably, which is more then likely due to the fact that he has target on his head. A shoot to kill order, it would be, for the blame of deaths that he took onto himself to make sure that Harvey Dent's work was not undone, that countless criminals would be released on the streets if found out that he turned sides. Thus, being said, he 's being rather careful, evading the police and planting false leads to him. All and all, throwing everything through a loop.

But something is now astir on the streets. With news of a mass breakout at Arkham Asylum, and one of the many people that have since gone missing being the Joker, the man that held Gotham in the palm of his hand for just urge of wanting to create some chaos, it's put everyone on edge.

What will come now that he's free once again? What will be his next plans? Who does he have his sights on this time around? These are just one of the few questions Bruce Wayne is finding himself asking these days, and what can he do to stop the Joker right in his tracks.

Only time will tell in Gotham City...
