MODELING

fashion modeling
more along the lines of run-way, fashion modeling is showing off a designers latest fashions. Whether its walking down a run-way or taking pictures for a magazine or collection book, a fashion model is based on the body, rather then the face. It's all about how the clothes looks on a model, rather then how the model looks. Fashion modeling is one of the more open field of modeling, opened to more people then anything else, since there is a wide varity of designers and fashions. It's also one of the less harsher fields of modeling.


body part modeling
another easy modeling to get into, it is used for things like jewelry, make-up, and accessories. Though not as broad as any other modeling, it's one of the best and easiest ways to get started. But this modeling does depend on beauty. If you don't have beautiful hands, then you aren't going to make it in a ring commerical. It may be easy to get in, but its hard to get recongized when all anyone ever sees of you is your hand. Still, it is a good way to get started.


glamour modeling
glamour modeling is mostly based on the model his/herself rather then anything else. These are the kind of pictures you find in calanders, postcards, and other such things like that. In most glamor shots, its based on the sexuality of the model, since it doesn't matter on fashion, scenery, or other asspects of a picture. Glamour modeling is well known for it's semi-nude to nude pictures, and is a field for strong people, since you have to have good figures and looks all around, instead of something you can hide under clothing. It is judged to be one of the most demanding of the modeling world.


super model
when your top notch, your a supermodel. Best of the best and someone who is wanted by everyone. Super models do most everything, from fashion modeling to glamour modeling. They are the girls, and sometimes guys, that you see on the cover of magazines. They have the looks to get them through. Some super models are even known to score in movies, and TV shows. They have everything to be the best, but its a hard field to compete for, since there is a lot to lose. Not everyone can be a super model.


other modeling
there are a few other kinds of modeling, not really as large as the major three, super modeling just being a general term. Fitness modeling brings out the healthy side of someone, ephmisizing muscles and workout. Body builders and athletes are the focus of fitness modeling. Fine art modeling is used for artist, using a model for a painting or a sculture or other pieces of art. It focuses on whatever the artist is looking for. Alternative modeling, bringing punk, goth, fetish, tattoos, and other darker uniques, have been added into some pictures in fashion, body part, and glamour modeling, and is no longer consistered another field of modeling.

PHOTOGRAPHY

fashion
fashion shooting is more like runway pictures to photoshoot pictures, showing off a designers style, or latest style. Often times, fashion photographers are hired by the same fashion designer, if the fashion designer liked them. They are almost personal photographers for a designer, though they tend to keep more the one client at a time, working for several designers. Their pictures focus most on the clothing and the colors. If a background is involved, they are very picky with it usually. They want everything to bring out the clothing, because the better the picture, the better the money.


magazine
often confused with the paparazzi, magazine photographers go out and take pictures of different people, whether planned or not. They do professional shots only, asking permission to use photos, or have permission to be at an event to take pictures. Most of the time, magazine photographers work for a magazine company to get pictures for that magazine, whether it be for jewelry or vacation spots. Some of them work for a modeling company to send out pictures for advertisements or for articles. They are not hell-bent on getting dirt on celebs, but rather help promote them as an artist. They simply get a bad rep because they do take a lot of pictures of more random events rather then planned photoshoots.


photoshoot/scenery
this is the most common photography around, since photoshoots and scenery is the easier to take pictures off. The photographer, independant or company-based, simply sets up a scene to take a picture. There's a lot of setup to photoshoots, with lighting, fashion, make-up, and the setting. Whether its indoor or not, it's always difficult to do, but you work with the most people. You get the chance of working with models, celebrities, and other people. Instead of focusing on one thing, you can focus on any, depending on what the photoshoot calls for. It's hard to get a job as a photographer for photoshoots though, because there is one photographer out of a staff of twenty for photoshoots.


independant
only those with a title and money have the ability to become independant from companies. You also need the talent to take pictures of anything. It's a hard business, and a lot of people prefer actually working with companies for the stability. When you're working independant, it can be hard to get jobs, but you can request more money of it. There are veyr few people who actually make it as independant photographers, which is sad, since so many of them have a lot talent. It's just difficult, but you are able to pick what you want and when you want it.


STAFF

management
those who run Tainted Addiction and the other companies out there, they plan, manage, and set up all functions. When a model or photographer or someone has a problem, they come running to management. It's a tough business, and it's not one to take light hearted. Still, it's a status boost. You are the top of the food chain, the keeper of them all, and you can control anyone's career if you work enough to the top. Sometimes the power gets to the management's head but the workers always put it back into control and such.


body worker/make-up artist
the best of the best of the artist world, make-up artist can turn a fourteen year old, acne covered girl and turn her into a twenty one looking women with the perfect face. They do it all, turn the person into the model, and turn the ugly into the beautiful. They must be skilled in all cosmetics and such, and the lastest techniques of everything to deal with the face and even the rest of the body. Not only the face is dealt with, make-up artist help with the whole body, doing things from hair removal to spray on tans. They do everything to make the models look perfect.


fashion coordinator and designer
it is a fashion designers dream to get their ideas out and around. When a fashion designer, either with a title or not, is asked for their designs to be use in a shoot, it is an honor. It is a dream for them. Some fashion designers work for certain companies while others work independantly but are on call. It is either the photographer that gets into contact with them or the company, depending on the shoot. Or the designer and coordinator contacts a company or photographer ot help display their work. Never the less, they play an important role in the model's life.


set designer
what better job to have then to either be indoors, setting up a well done scene, or go outside and fix up an area to look perfect. It also deals with lighting and temperature and other things. From setting up green screens, to making sure a flower is turned the right way, the set designer follows the orders of the photographer or the company. Usually a set designer is set on what they know best; for example, a cowboy would know how to set up a ranch scene, or a snow set designer would know what kind of flash to use for a snow scene. Only the very best set designers actually know how to different kinds of scenes, but they never pass on their tricks.


assistants
every model, every photographer, every management person or anyone really can have an assistant. They are great, doing most anyone's demands. When helping a model, they plan schedules, shoots, help them keep track of time and where to go. When they help a photographer, they plan shoots, keep in touch with the company, fetch the coffee, anything. An assistants' job is endless and the task should never be surprising, but they still remain to be. Assistants can also be called other things, such as close model to a photographer, it is never limited.


PAPARAZZI

editors
they decide the stories, they decide the lies, and they decide on the rumors. Editors have no shame in what they let slip out, all they want is to make stories that sell in the news and make people talk, whether it be good or bad. Mostly bad though, since the bad tends to sell more. They face lawsuits every day, they face those they tell rumors about, but keeping a poker face on and plead 'freedom of the press'. It's hard to get anything by them, but they are never are the ones that truly find them, they just try to still the credit.


camera men
Those people that hide behind bushes, fake passes, and wait outside of celebs' houses in hopes for that perfect shot? Those are these people. They search for that perfect shot to prove the rumors, or something they can easily photoshop to make it look like its true. The aim is to sell the photos to the highest bidder for the best price. Or they get a request for a certain shot. Never trust a camera man though. They can hide in the best ways to trick people, or even admit something. It's hard to get any little small tiny detail hidden from them, and even a small hickey on the neck can turn into a hot, love affair.


searchers
listening to every interview for the slightest change of tone, or any hint of a rumor forming, searchers are the ones that seek out any truth to the lies or even in the truth. There are two kinds of searchers, ones who try to make things worse and those who try to make things better. The ones who try to make things worse are out to make sure the bad rumors are true. The ones who try to make things good are out to make the truth remain to be the truth and not turn into a twisted rumor. It all depends on what searchers want and how much money they want from searching out what the seller wants for the information.


bloggers
one of the best ways to connect to the celeb world is through the internet. Bloggers know, spread, and are the information for the outside world. Sure, their facts aren't always right and often lead to terrible rumors and such, but the bloggers' aims are rarely to tell the truth but to get their own fame. Bloggers, good ones, are infamous. It's not that they always aim to be famous and such, but they aim to get a piece of the fame. They put themselves in places in hopes to get known and recongized. Often times, their work is taken, especially information they know or have, but they always find revenge.


interviewers
they get in the inside scoop of it all, and get the truth. As nice as interviewers seem, they can really be the cause of all the problems. They enjoy twisting words out of someone's mouth, but they are the ones who hear it first out of the mouth of the celeb. Whether it is a set up interview, a magazine interview, or just a bump-into-someone interview, getting the story and asking the questions is as easy as one two three. Never smile at a crocodile though, you never know, they might just go after more of you, because after Hook's hand, the croc wanted more.


CITIZEN

family
everyone has a family, whether you keep in contact with them or not. Family is a big part of things, part of history, and the perfect rumor grabber for anyone. Getting into family affairs is the paparazzi's fuel to the fire and its hard to keep it all closed. Warning a family is the best way to do things, but always keep your famliy close for they are the only ones who will ever accept you after all. They are the only ones who will ever listen you, and be there. Family is great.


auditioning
the status of a model trying or still trying. Auditioning is the only a temporary status, but it can change quickly when someone is denied or accepted. If denied, most try again though, with a different company usually. Giving up is often not an option for those continuing to try-out, mostly due to status and money. Auditioning models usually play back-up roles instead of being the front page as a way to test them, but to get on the front page, they do most anything, especially if they really want it.


celebrity in other field
actor, singer, performering, millionaire, anything that isn't just titled as a model. There is more to the field of modeling then just models. Anyone with a title can and will model for movie promos and such. Companies work hard to get celebs to pick them so their company is promoted more and more. They help fuel everything, and almost make the models look like nothing in the companies. That's why models hold grudges against celebs usually. Fights get pretty common between the two.


retired/fired/quit
ex-models still get the rep from being a model. Whether you're fired, you get the story of why, even if its more then twisted around and around. Or, if you retired, other models look up to you as a role model, in hopes some of your fame will rub off on them through knowing you. And if you had quit, then you had the guts to turn your back on a life where you are always beautiful and making thousands and all. Respect is earned or lost, but the story and the rumors behind it all is always worth listening to.
