it's a bit old fashion considering most photographers use digital camera now, but in the red room, for those who use film, it's a place to develop them in safe, dark place, but it doesn't keep others out of it

sectioned off with curtains and small half-walled rooms is the back stage areas for getting ready for a shoot, which includes make-up, clothing, and other things needed to make sure you look your best before the flashes happen
