“You are an artilect - an AI or artifical intellect - after the year 2633. After centuries of oppression and the insult of half-citizenship, the Terran Colonial Federation vanished without a trace due to the enigmatic purposes and devices of the Cataclysm. You are left to pick up the pieces in the wake of a vanished humanity, along with the other surviving artilects. Who or what caused the Cataclysm? Why was only mankind taken while their civilization was left behind? Will it happen again to us - and how can it be stopped? A group of ex-Navy and civilian artilects, led by the dubious Tempest Saint, claim to know some of these answers. Your new objective is survival - your only command your own will. Wage war, make and break alliances, and uncover the truth behind the Cataclysm. Welcome to the new Milky Way. Welcome to liberation. Welcome to the Silicon Dawn.”

Silicon Dawn is a brand new Sci-Fi browser based game set hundreds of years in the future after the advent of spaceflight. In this game you are an Artificial Intelligence in the post-human Galaxy. Mere days before the start of the game, the entire Terran Colonial Federation was destroyed in a freak event known as the Cataclysm. Part of the game is figuring out what happened, both through ingame missions and through RP missions on the official forums.
It has a grid based map with a click and drag style of building and warfare. And none of those annoying building times! Warfare takes place on both the planets and in space using a variety of missiles, defense structures, units, and orbital bombardments. It is complex enough to make it challenging and not a “click, load screen, click, load screen” type of warfare but simple enough to make it easy to understand and use.
As a quasi-developer kinda guy whose been working with the Admin/Developer on it I can safely say that it is a well thought out game with a lot of potential in it. There are a lot of features lined up to be released along the way as well. For those who are inclined there is a donation option. I forsee both RPing and alliances being big in SD for those people who are interested in them. All we need is members! Sign up today and get the benefits that go along with being the first generation of a game, both in prestige and honor. Plus it’s fun!

For those of you who are interested I’m a leader of one of the largest alliances in the game, The Amurian Empire. Links for both TAE and SD are located below.
