That thing on top of his head – if it could even be called hair – would honestly make any mother faint upon seeing it, it’s that bad. Harry is said to have gained this part of his appearance from his father, along with many other things about his body, but he doesn’t go about messing it up even more than it already is like his father used to. Now, we’re not talking about James Potter here, though, are we? It’s his son Harry that we’re talking about. So, I think you must have gotten the point about this young man’s hair? Messy and black, that’s all you need to describe it. Messy and black.
Harry’s eyes are the only thing apart from his scar that is different from his father. His eyes are an emerald green, the exact same as his mother. He wears glasses along with them, for his eyesight really is quite bad. Harry’s eyes are almond-shaped and rather deep, giving the feeling that Harry stares right into your head when he looks at you; it is as though he can see every single thing you’re thinking. Along with that, Harry’s eyes show all of his emotions. They display everything he thinks and feels; it’s the only part of his whole body that shows what he’s thinking. If you want to know what he’s really feeling, look at his eyes. They are, shall we say, a bit of a window into his personality.
Now, Harry’s skin is fairly smooth and fair; he tans quite easily, though, which is easily noticeable as he plays so much Quidditch at Hogwarts. On Harry’s head is the most important part of his body – the lightning-bolt shaped scar. When he was younger, he used to absolutely love it, thinking it was a perfectly amazing scar to have on one’s body. It was so much better than all the other tiny blemishes and cuts his schoolmates used to have; he enjoyed showing off the lightning bolt on his forehead. But once Harry hit Hogwarts, he realized how much he really hated it, everyone staring at it all the time and the twinges of pain he received from it continually? Ugh.
Harry is pretty much a stick. Well, actually, was. He, well, ‘filled out a bit,’ shall we say. He’s been fed properly at Hogwarts, which shows on his body size a lot; he’s not as lanky as he used to be. And hours and hours of Quidditch training? Well, that helps a growing man’s body quite a bit as well. Harry has a pretty much athletic figure, something not very surprising seeing as he spends half his time at Hogwarts playing Quidditch; height-wise, Harry isn’t terribly tall – he’s just pretty much the average height a boy of his age should be.
So, that’s how he looks. personality: When people first think of a “famous person” such as Harry here, they assume that he would be utterly vain, thinking he’s the best person that the world has ever seen, etc., etc. But Harry Potter? He’s certainly not like that. Harry hates being famous. He wishes he wasn’t, he wishes that he was just a normal person like the rest of the students at Hogwarts. He just wants to be “another kid in the school.” But unfortunately, that is not the case with Harry. Wherever he goes, heads turn, people whisper: “That’s Harry Potter!” Well, after six years of being in the same school as him, most students are over it by now, but every year the first years see him and their jaws drop – “I’m in the same school as Harry Potter!” Harry just wishes that life wasn’t like this.
Now, Harry’s personality is quite complicated and a bit hard to describe. First of all, let me tell you about this young man’s “saving-people thing.” You can call it acting the hero if you wish, for Harry is too willing to sacrifice himself for his loved ones. He won’t let them do anything that will harm them at his fault; he’d blame himself for it forever and so has to give up himself to save them. It annoys others terribly at times; they just wish that he’d think of himself instead of them. Harry is completely ready to die for the ones he loves; he would not hesitate to launch himself in front of a wand or any deadly weapon that is threatening to kill one of his friends and let himself die instead of having his loved ones die. And he won’t see anyone else in danger – he has to save them. Yep, Harry definitely has a “saving-people thing.”
Harry is trusting. He trusts his loved ones with an open heart. He rarely hides anything from them, unless he’s afraid that telling them something will harm them in any way, shape, or form, in which case he would refuse to tell them until they force it out of him. But Harry knows that he can always spill out his heart to his close friends, and they’re always there for him. And Harry’s always there for them. He is an extremely loyal young man; he sticks by his friends and family through thick and thin. He’d never do anything to harm them; he’ll do his best to save them from anything that might hurt them. But Harry needs people. Though he can sometimes seem like the type of person who is independent and has to do things on his own, that’s just his pride. Harry would be afraid to go through life alone. He needs people who love him to stick by him just as he sticks by them, or else life would be horrible.
But Harry has a temper. Normally, it’s hidden inside him somewhere or the other, but when you get him riled up, he’s really riled up. Especially in his fifth year, when hormones attacked him like crazy, he got angry at the smallest things; Harry’s become better about it now, but if you anger him, expect to be yelled at for ages until he calms down – or you calm him down. Harry is also stubborn. He believes that whatever he thinks is right is right, and fights for it until the very end. This can be a good thing sometimes, as he stands up for what he believes in, but it’s bad – especially when what he thinks is right is not actually right. Now, Harry’s stubbornness goes hand-in-hand with his hot temper, and when seen together…well, let’s just put it this way: you don’t want to see them together.
Harry acts and speaks before he thinks. He uses “spur of the moment decisions,” for lack of a better phrase. Even if he’s almost positive that something might go wrong, Harry would just rush into his plan, believing that everything will go right, because he’s thought of the plan. This shows the pride he has – this pride of his doesn’t come to surface a lot; it’s only when he refuses help that you can actually see it. It’s very rare that you see this pride, but when you do, it’s not pleasant. When you see the outside of Harry, you wouldn’t expect him to be anywhere near proud at all, but there is a little bit of pride hiding inside him somewhere, and it’s not a nice sight – or a good thing to come against. Harry’s stubbornness increases his pride when it shows, even if rarely, and you wouldn’t want to get on Harry’s bad side unless you’d like to face something extremely unpleasant.
But Harry is a fun guy to be around. He’s almost always a good laugh, especially when you get to know him. He’s friendly and outgoing; well, when he first meets you, Harry may seem a bit, for lack of a better term, standoffish, but once he knows you, he’s a great load of fun. And when you’re his friend, Harry will stick by you through thick and thin; he’s a very loyal person. Harry is all in all a good person at heart; when he does something stupid or, well, bad, he normally doesn’t mean to. He always does the best for his loved ones and is a selfless and friendly young man, determined and adventurous as well. it's a family affair;mother and occupation: lily potter nee evans ; deceased at 21 years of age father and occupation: james potter ; deceased at 21 years of age brothers: none sisters: none other relatives:vernon dursley ; uncle ; director of a drill-making company, grunnings petunia dursley nee evans ; aunt ; housewife dudley dursley ; cousin ; schoolboy at smeltings history::Lily and James Potter had an…well, let’s just say an interesting history. Everyone knows about their story at school; how Lily appeared to detest James with all her heart and vowed never to even give him a chance and thought that he was the biggest toerag the world had ever seen? Well, somehow that all managed to change in the two’s seventh year. Lily and James were made Head Boy & Girl, and through the year Lily’s opinion of James changed. James became more mature and responsible, stopped hexing people for the fun of it (well, except for Severus Snape, I suppose), and Lily saw a great change in him. Over their last and final year at Hogwarts, Lily Evans fell for James Potter and they eventually graduated and got married.
The two were in the original Order, fighting against Voldemort, but they needed to be protected, for he was aiming for them to kill. The Fidelius Charm had been put on their little cottage in Godric’s Hollow, and their Secret Keeper was Sirius Black, whom James would trust with anything, and now was trusting with his and his beloved wife’s life. Well, during their short but happy time together, something quite miraculous happened on July 31st, 1980. Everyone in the Wizarding world now knows that date; it was the day when the most famous wizard today was born. Harry James Potter, a little boy with his father’s hair and his mother’s eyes. A happy one year together for the family was all that they could get, for their life took a tragic turn on October 31st, 1981, just a few months after little Harry’s first birthday.
Sirius Black had given the job of Secret Keeper to one of James’ other most trusted friends, Peter Pettigrew, because he’d hoped that Voldemort would never go after little Peter when he knew how close James was to Sirius. But there was an unlucky turn of events – Peter Pettigrew was a traitor. He was a double agent; he’d been working for Lord Voldemort for quite a bit of time. And it turns out that Pettigrew told Voldemort where exactly to find Lily and James Potter and their son Harry, and on Halloween night of 1981, the Dark Lord advanced on their house and killed Harry’s parents. But when he turned to the little boy and attempted to strike him with the Killing Curse, it didn’t work. All that little Harry James Potter received as a result of the attempted murder was a lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead.
For the next ten years of his life, Harry was taken by Rubeus Hagrid on Albus Dumbledore’s orders to live with his mother’s sister and her husband (and their little boy), the utterly, completely Muggle family known as the Dursleys. They couldn’t be more non-magical – it seemed almost impossible that a family could not even dream of having magical powers. But the Dursleys seemed to have accomplished this task, and the family attempted to sever Harry’s ties with the magical world as well. But over the years, many strange things happened to Harry. He found that he could talk to snakes, make his hair grow back on his head, and get himself up on his school roofs when running away from some bullies. And on his eleventh birthday, it was proved that the Dursleys couldn’t sever Harry’s ties with the magical world completely after all.
July 31st, 1991. The Dursleys and Harry were sleeping in a dingy hut on a rock in the middle of the sea. And at the precise time of midnight, their door was banged open like a canon by a half-giant who went by the name of Rubeus Hagrid. And this half-giant handed Harry Potter a letter – the letter that would change his life forever. The letter that invited him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The letter that let him escape from the clutches of the utterly Muggle family of the Dursleys. So, Harry traveled with Hagrid to Diagon Alley, where he bought all of his school items using the money his parents had left him at Gringotts’ Bank and started his new life.
Harry’s years at Hogwarts went by amazingly; they were the best of his life, and still are, as a matter of fact. his first year was absolutely wonderful; he made a bunch of friends and a bunch of enemies (all right, maybe the enemies part wasn’t that good, but hey, what’s life without some arguments?). Oh, and plus, he fought of a mountain troll and made friends with that snobby Gryffindor girl, became the youngest Seeker in a century, made a trip to the Forbidden Forest and rode on a centaur’s back, not to mention playing on a giant chess board, drinking some dangerous potions, fighting of a dangerous plant, trying to catch a key on a broom, and last but certainly not least, fight off Lord Voldemort once again in his life, saving what was known as the Sorcerer’s Stone from the Dark Lord’s grasp.
And his second year was just as exciting. First of all, a house-elf called Dobby decided that it wasn’t safe for him to go to Hogwarts this year and sealed the entrance to Platform 9 & ¾, making it a bit hard for him and Ron to get to school that year – they had to take a flying car there and landed abnormally, giving them a load of detention as the consequence. But that was nothing compared to what else happened over the course of Harry’s second year – something known as the Chamber of Secrets was rumored to have been opened, and the monster inside it was trying to kill people, which was not a good thing at all. And once Ron’s younger sister Ginny had been taken inside it and supposedly killed and his best friend Hermione Granger had been petrified, Harry knew that he had to go in and save all the ones that had almost died because of this monster (a.k.a, a Basilisk – which could kill with one look into the eye). And that’s exactly what he did – kill the Basilisk and save a whole bunch of people’s lives.
Harry’s third year was loads of fun. He managed to retrieve a map of the castle called the Marauder’s Map, sneak into Hogsmeade Village when he wasn’t supposed to be doing so, fly on a hippogriff called Buckbeak’s back, and of course find out that he had a godfather named Sirius Black, who had in fact been his father’s closest friend – almost like his brother, really. Oh, and face dementors, of course. Which was the only thing that he was really scared of. Those things brought back his worst memories…of course he learned how to fight them off over the course of the year and managed to accomplish forming his own Patronus, which was a great achievement for a thirteen-year-old. And then he saved Sirius Black from the Dementor’s Kiss (you know, when they suck out your soul?) and, well, you get the point.
And in Harry’s fourth year came the Triwizard Tournament, where he got to meet a part-Veela called Fleur Delacour, an internationally famous Quidditch player called Viktor Krum, and fight off Lord Voldemort once again – after, of course, fighting off loads of other creatures like dragons, grindylows, sphinxes, and huge black-ended skrewts in the three tasks of the Triwizard Tournament. Which Harry had got into through a complete mistake because of an idiot called Barty Crouch Jr. who was impersonating a famous Auror called Mad-Eye Moody putting his name into the Goblet of Fire to see him get killed. And they almost got their wish – but not quite. After the third task when he and the last Triwizard champion, Cedric Diggory, were sent to a graveyard, Cedric was killed and Harry had to witness the return of Lord Voldemort. Not pleasant.
And in his fifth year came Dolores Umbridge, who was a vile and evil-minded woman who became their Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Oh, Harry almost got expelled from Hogwarts in that year for protecting himself against a Dementor over the summer; the Ministry was really becoming very unjust. But Harry got through the year, even though his hormones were acting up like crazy and he was yelling at people quite a bit. Plus, in the detentions he got that vile woman Umbridge sliced open his right wrist…well, going out with his crush, Cho Chang, made up for it a bit until they had a fight and broke up. All in all, his fifth year was quite a bit of a fiasco, ending with a huge duel at the Ministry of Magic and the death of Harry’s godfather, Sirius Black.
And Harry’s sixth year? Well, that was when he found the “Half-Blood Prince’s” Potions book and got through the subject of Potions amazingly with the help of it, and found out that he fancied his best mate’s younger sister Ginny along the way. And went out with her for a bit, but that’s not really the point. Harry had special lessons with Albus Dumbledore throughout that year, where he learned a lot about Lord Voldemort when he was younger, which would help him a lot in the future. And he found out about Voldemort’s Horcruxes – objects in which he kept pieces of the soul. I know, unpleasant, right? Well, Harry and Professor Dumbledore ventured to find one of these Horcruxes towards the end of his year, but that ended horribly. With the death of his Headmaster, killed by Severus Snape, who happened to be the Half-Blood Prince as well. And then Harry had to break up with his girlfriend; let’s just say that his sixth year didn’t end on a very happy note.
And now, Harry is in his seventh and final year at Hogwarts School, and the Ministry of Magic has been taken over by none other than Dolores Umbridge, and it doesn’t seem good. But Harry knows that he has to go through it and destroy Lord Voldemort with the help of his friends, and he’ll do it. No matter what. He is, after all, the Boy Who Lived. it's the end of the show;what is the secret word?: -adminedit- member title: .__the boy who almost didn’t live ] roleplaying sample: you wish, foo' =D
