"Okay! Okay! I get it, but this one won't get a chance to say no."
For a long while, there has been a bet between a certain group of boys to see how many girls that they could go out with and then dump, and for most of that time, Cormac McLaggen has been leading that bet until he met the quirky Miss Lovegood. Oh, she is as cute as many of the girls in the school, but her personality is one of a kind, almost her channeling her mother. Going around with flowers in her hair and in stripey socks...that puts off quite a few of the boys. Not Cormac though. He is throughly determined to get this girl to fall in love with him. He goes through a number of tactics:- Bumping into her by mistake.
- Being nice to her when others aren't.
- Pretending that he knows what she is on about.
After a month and a whole line of failures, Cormac is about to give up when he begins to realise that somewhere along the line, he himself is beginning to have feelings for Luna, and stuck in a tricky situation. He knows that if he fails this bet, he will have to face not only utter humiliation in front of the entire school but a full-on girl attack when they find out what he has done. What will happen?
Will Luna fall in love with Cormac
Will he swallow up his pride and face his punishment?
Will he survive the wrath of Ginny Weasley?
