Well that was a convincing argument. Luke raised his eyebrows at Summer's rant about how Taylor's abandonment would ruin her night, ney, at least a week. This girl really did worry a bit too much sometimes. "It's a party. There will be lots of other people there besides Zach. Anyway, aren't you forgetting something? What about me? What, are you too good to be seen with the likes of me or something, because last I knew I was going to this party too." Luke pretended to be crushed that Summer had only mentioned Zach and Taylor. Ah, well he knew what she meant. Maybe. Actually maybe he didn't but he wasn't going to linger on that. Yeah, Luke did hook up with girls he meets at those events a lot of the time, but, well... actually scratch that. Luke didn't want to finish his thought. Even thinking about hooking up with Summer could make things awkward.

summer stuck her tongue out at luke. well that was true. if taylor did happen to leave with ryan, she could count on luke, as long as he didn't already have a girl he was macking on. "you know i love you, luke." she said, leaning over and pinching his cheek as she made a kissy face to him. "but you are a manwhore. so you will be off macking on drunken girls." she decided, both of them knowing it was true.

"find a real girl, luke. doesn't hooking up get old?" she asked, wondering why he refused to find a real girl.

Luke shrugged his shoulders a little at Summer's question. Sometimes it got a little old, but most of the time it was just too fun. He wasn't ready to make that commitment quite yet. [B]"Yeah, I mean, I've thought about it. Sometimes I do think having one girl might be a nice change, but when it comes down to it, most of the girls I've hooked up with... I just don't really want to be around them all that long." That might sound really bad but it was the truth and he saw no point in hiding it.

Lukes problem was that, aside from the fact that hooking up with random people was exciting and hot, the only girls that he wanted to spend more time with than a night or two were too much like sisters to him. They were people like Summer or Taylor. As a guy, he had thought about sex with most of them at some point or another but he tried not to think about that too often. "I guess I just haven't found the girl I'd be willing to give all that up for, yet." Until he found the right girl he was going to keep busy however he wanted.

well, that made sense. finding the right person was never an easy task. but sometimes, you actually had to really look and it seemed like luke didn't even bother doing that. "i get it. you will find that person eventually." she said, smiling as their food got placed in front of them. cheeseburger and fries, her personal favorite. "i miss our group hangs. it's been so long since the four of us hung out. i bet if you asked zach, he would say it's all my fault." she said, popping a fry into her mouth.

Luke wasn't so sure about that. Luke knew that Zach was upset about it and that and confused. Whether or not Zach actually blamed her for it wasn't as obvious. Even if he did think that, did it even matter?
"That doesn't mean that it is," he pointed out. Zach was Luke's best friend but he was close to Summer, too. "I mean, you know Zach is like a brother to me, but even if he does think its your fault so what? He can think what he want but that don't make him right." It'd be one thing if Summer had actively wronged Zach, but she hadn't. Had she, it would have seriously affected the way he saw Summer. In his book, she was no more to blame than Zach was.

luke was right. and besides, if her and zach decided to got get back together, they were always going to bump into each other and she figured eventually...they would be able to be friends again. "thanks, luke." she said, lifting her burger up and taking a tiny bite from it, then putting it back onto the plate. summer noticed a group of about four harbor cheerleaders walk in and summer couldn't help but roll her eyes. her and the stupid cheerleaders never really got along. they were clearly all jealous of summer.

"you hooked up with all of them?" she asked, referring to the group of cheerleaders. she was pretty sure she already knew the answer to her own question.

"you hooked up with all of them?"

Luke looked over to the group of cheerleaders that had just come in. Of course he knew all of them fairly we, but he hadn't quite hooked up with all of them. He had with most of them by far. He'd had a heavy make-out session with the red head the other week, but she wouldn't let it go further. The two short brunnette... he was pretty sure they had had a threesome at some point in time, but he couldn't really remember it because he had been completely shit-face drunk. The list went on. "Is that a question you really want answered?" he asked, loading up his cheeseburger with ketchup and picking it up off his plate. "I mean, hey, if you want to know..." Luke took a bite out of his burger and dropped it back onto his plate.
