welcome to boston, massachusetts, home to the projects and the heights. boston's the largest city in new england, and houses approximately 600,000 people. now, it's a political, technological, and intellectual powerhouse.

bu has always been defined as the more open school, while bc is the "ugg wearing inheritants". these colleges are less than five miles apart. to understand boston you have to understand the green line rivalry. the green line is a trolley linking the two colleges, and now dubs the rivalry between the two schools. it exists through ice hockey. because bu and bc are in the same divison, hockey east, they meet regularly. it is an understatement to say that this is the most important game of the year. boston's caught in the middle of the rivals.

if you're not with them, you're against them. it is impossible to stay out of this rivalry. the peacekeeper, an independent weekly newspaper, fuels the fire by spreading rumors from both schools. most students choose to join the fight, but me, i say gimme shelter.

boston.
the capital and largest city of massachusetts, everyone loves boston. well, most everyone. it's the center for "higher education" and "lower crime". yeah right. a definite split is seen between the upper and lower class, along with between the bc's and bu's. if you're not with them, you're against them.

boston university.
the city's fourth-largest employer, boston university has a tremendous pull over the city. with 16,000 undergrads, it's hard to not make friends, and with an excellent rating among the world, it's hard to not do well. whether you are in by good relations, or in by good grades, it doesn't matter. all that matters is that you're in.

boston college.
located five miles from boston university, boston college is located on chestnut hill. ranked one of the most selective colleges in the us, it only has 8,500 undergraduates. self-described as "j crew kids", the stereotypical bc student is rich and well connected.

mansions.
the best of the best. the mansions are located in very special area of boston, specially tailored for the rich folk. they have sprawling (though not california sprawling) lawns, guesthouses, fountains, the whole shabang. you are definitely living well if you live here.

penthouses.
a step down from a mansion, but with boston being a busy city, it's nothing to be ashamed of. in fact, you are probably the most envied, simply because you are in the city. mommy and daddy are never home, so kids get them all to themselves. can anyone say trouble?

apartments.
these can range from nice to downright depressing. you can furnish the hell out of some, or you'll have to deal with leaky pipes on others. it all depends on you.
