RULES
REGISTRATION
When registering under the name of a character, please use the characters name (first, middle, and last) and not something like dancerbabe07. Just don’t. If you do, it will be deleted! The only ones with a username that is not a character are the admins. When you register, don’t forget to reserve your character or someone else may take it. Reservations will last seven days (one week). If the app is not done by then, it will be deleted along with your account. If there is a reason you cannot complete it in a week and you still wish to play the character, PM an admin with your excuse. Good example: My mom is in the hospital from a car accident. Bad example: opps I forgot and out with my boyfriend. Also, when registering, please, please, please remember to keep it lowercase. Good example: venture, estela cecile gale. Bad example: Roy Smith.
POSTING
Role playing will be done in story from (first person). I don’t want to see any first person ‘I said’ or movie script type of writing, post in third person, past tense. It’s a lot easier to read and write, well at least to me. And to ensure there isn’t any one liner posts, the minimum for a post is 200 words, solid paragraphs and the maximum you can do in a post is 1100.
RIPPING, GODMODING, AND POWERPLAYING
Don’t know what these things are? Well, they are:
controlling other people's characters in posts. No telling other people what to do in their post.
omniscient Characters. You know everything that is happen with the plots of the other characters on the board. Your character does not.
indestructible Characters. No getting in a fight and coming out without a single scratch. Everybody gets hurt and bleeds the same way, okay.
I only have one thing to say about these things. DON’T DO IT!
ETIQUETTE
Be kind and courteous to the members and admins of this board. I’m not going to go over the rules of respect and civility here; you should already know how to treat other people.
MARY/GARY SUES
I really don’t want to see any of these. No one is perfect. Flaws are a basic part of the human race. Simple as that. So no characters that are perfect at everything they do and always get the guy/girl.
LANGUAGE AND CONTENT
Since the characters here at BAM are all young adults and up, cursing will be permitted. Just please don’t go overboard with it okay? If your character and someone else’s is going to perform a sexual act, please state so in the topic description so people will be warned when they read it. Obviously these kind of acts will be allowed since the characters are adults just put a warning in the description or fast forward/fade out of the scene.
