` one to fly the heavens hotel sofitel. situated close to la place wilson and the matabiau train station, it is possibly the best hotel in town, luxurious and opulent. just steps away from the banks of the canal du midi, shops, cinemas and the famous theatre du capitole. there are 105 rooms and 14 suites. better hurry up. with an event like this, vacancies don't last very long.

` one to swim with fishes le canal du midi. located in the neighborhood of pont-jumeaux, the 241-kilometer canal was built during the reign of louis xiv. lined with hundred-year-old plane trees, its shadowy banks are enjoyed by walkers and those who wish for peace and tranquility.

` and then the one you're saving for a rainy day basilique st. sernin. the largest romanesque basilique in the world, the basilique st. sernin is one of the largest tourist attractions in toulouse. the woods and streets around it are particularly busy, though calm, a perfect area for a nice picnic or sightseeing.

` look this way, will you marry me? les platanes. near la scène are four plane-trees, perfect for relaxing in the shade, protected from the hot toulousan sun. three benches frame them, and old ladies with pigeons fluttering around their feet frequent them. a calm, quiet place rarely disturbed by rowdy teenagers.

` can't close my eyes son très joli visage craving some French cuisine? this little café is located only a few blocks away from hotel sofitel and is one of the most popular places in the city. with its light blue décor and its warm and inviting atmosphere, it is easy to see why so many people flock to it.

` every shade under the sun étoffe raffinée located just down the street form son très joli visage lies this small, fine clothing boutique. filled with silks and satin of all the colors of the rainbow you would think this place would be a very popular shop. it is, but to those wealthy enough to afford to shop here.

` all that's ever been la librairie du lion. just next door to étoffe rafinée is a small coffee shop and book store. the small, wood paneled room is lined with bookshelves filled with the classic all the way up to the new releases. so come sit down in one of the comfy brown leather chairs and make yourself comfortable to read a good book for hours, or sit outside and sip your coffee while chatting with an old friend.
