roleplay requests. if you ever feel like your character is stuck, or you just want to find someone to play a certain character, than by all means fill out a roleplay request. you will probably be able to find someone to roleplay with shortly after posting a request. you can also discuss plot ideas for your character(s) inside as well.

central park. central park is a large public, urban park in the borough of manhattan. while much of the park looks natural it is in fact almost entirely landscaped. it contains several natural-looking lakes and ponds, extensive walking tracks, two ice-skating rinks, the central park zoo, the central park conservatory garden, a wildlife sanctuary, a large area of natural woods, a 106-acre billion gallon reservoir with an encircling running track, and an outdoor amphitheater called the delecorte theater which hosts the "shakespeare in the park" summer festivals.

broadway. broadway, as the name implies, is a wide avenue in new york city. while new york has several other broadways, in the context of the city it frequently refers to the manhattan street which also runs into the bronx and westchester county. it is the oldest north-south main thoroughfare in the city, dating to the first new amsterdam settlement. a stretch of broadway is famous as the pinnacle of the american theater industry.

the hub. the hub is the retail heart of the south bronx, located where four roads converge: east 149th street and willis, melrose and third avenue. it is south of the neighborhood of melrose and north of mott haven. the hub has been called "the broadway of the bronx." it is the site of both maximum traffic and architectural density. in configuration, it resembles a miniature times square, a spatial "bow-tie" created by the geometry of the street intersections. it is a favorite shopping place for bronx residents, and many new hip hop trends can be found in the hub long before they spread to the rest of new york city and the world.

orchard beach. orchard beach is a public beach located in pelham bay park on long island sound. the beach was created by robert moses by filling in approximately one third of pelham bay with landfill. it took a total of 1.2 million cubic yards of sand, brought by barge from sandy hook in new jersey and the rockaways in queens to build orchard beach. the landfill was put between rodman's neck, twin island and hunters island; the latter two are no longer islands, but are now connected to the mainland bronx by the landfill.

staten island zoo. the staten island zoo is a small urban zoo in northern staten island. the zoo opened in 1936 in barret park. it was considered the first "educational zoo" in the nation when it opened, a status that it has maintained with an active outreach program. initially the focus of the zoo was reptiles, in particular including the collection of snakes housed in the zoo's serpentarium. although the focus of the zoo has broadened, the current collection comprises over 858 animals of over 222 different species.

the company warehouses. a secretive location, the company holds it's focuses in these warehouses located on staten island. they have labs, as well as holding cells and hospital treatment rooms. noah bennet is currently hidden inside one of the aforementioned rooms. security is very tight, and it is almost impossible to get in without raising the alarm. note how it's almost impossible.

snug harbor cultural center. the snug harbor cultural center is located on the north shore of staten island, along the kill van kull. it consists of 26 historic greek revival, beaux arts, italianate and victorian style buildings set on 83 acres. the grounds include the newhouse center for contemporary art and the staten island botanical garden. it is home to some of staten island's more popular activities such as the staten island children's theater and the staten island conservatory of music.

liberty island. liberty enlightening the world, known more commonly as the statue of liberty, is a large statue that was presented to the united states by france in 1886. it stands at liberty island (owned by new york but physically on the new jersey side of the new york harbor) as a welcome to all visitors, immigrants, and returning americans.

odessa, texas. odessa was founded in 1881. although somewhat small, it is home to the only authentic replicas of william shakespeare's globe theater in existence. it hosts plays throughout the year as well as an annual shakespeare festival. in addition, odessa's presidential museum is the only one of its kind in the united states totally dedicated to the office of the presidency, not just one single president. there are also displays about the presidents of the republic of texas.
