Alena found it hard to look directly at the other woman. She loved her tremendously, but she hated to see the guilty look in her eyes. That just made her feelings even worse. The last thing she wanted was to be burden or make the other woman doubt her decisions. Alena wanted to see her little dolphin smile so she decided to come out even though everything else told her to get more sleep. Honestly though, if she slept all day that would mean less sleep tonight. So, she inwardly knew that it was a good idea to come out for some fresh air. If she was going out at all, it might as well be with her partner. Without looking up, she gave a brief smile. She could tell that Genni was happy, or at least satisfied, when they came up to the explanation. She felt warm; though she was confident she stopped blushing as well. She lightly brushed her fingers against Genni’s one more time before focusing on the road once more.
OK, so the attempts to try to stop making her face turn red failed. Alena gave a small laugh, looking more properly at her lover one more time. “Yes, you didn’t seduce me, I don’t know why. It wouldn’t be that hard.” She adjusted her pose, pulling the smaller woman closer once more. The closer the better that was all she could think of. She felt the other woman relax in her arms and it made her feel good. That she was still able to do that, despite her mood lately. The fresh scent from the other woman made her own body relax. This was good, to be able to calm her body while she was talking to her. There were a million moments where she wanted to be trapped tomorrow, that was decreasing now, but this was one of them. She kissed Genni behind the ear before she pulled away.
She was curious what her partner wanted to do. At this point, she was ready to hear anything. It was understandable that Genni wanted to get outside for a little bit. They did not do anything like this lately, and it was sad. However, because of that, Alena had no what the brunette would suggest. She expected it to be something outlandish to make up for the lost time. The blonde would be happy just keeping Genni in her arms for the reminder of the day. It was all she could ask for. Alena was up for whatever, simple because her mind was blank and she came out for the other woman anyway.
She smiled at Genni’s excited voice when she answered. She was so adorable but she was talking too fast for her, which was a little pathetic. Hazel eyes blinked once, but decided not to ask for anything to be repeated. Instead, her mind focused on what seemed like the most logical and enjoyable thing in her love’s list. The first thing that reached her mind, however, was that she wanted to reassure Genni on the whole thing. She brought her hand up to her partner’s hair, running her fingers through the beautiful locks. It was nearly impossible not to smother her in another hug. She managed only a small smile, “Don’t feel guilty, please. I know it’s probably a good thing to get out even if I didn’t want to. I’m happy as long as I’m with you.” She brushed her hand across Genni’s face lovingly. Alena stepped closer and wrapped her in a hug once more.
“Hmm… I don’t know. I’m not really hungry at the moment. I can eat later; it shouldn’t go bad by then… I don’t think at least.” She gave a short pause while making her comfortable. “I will let you decide. I couldn’t care either way, whatever makes you the most happy. All you have to do is promise to stay close. I want to sleep but that will be hard now. You brought me out here and I do want to do something more than that, something special.” She rocked gently against her love, hands firmly around her waist. One went up her back to her neck. Massaging lightly, her voice remained soft throughout speaking. “Miss you too…”

Genni always tried to control her emotions around anyone in her life. She wasn't good at looking vulnerable in any way shape or form. Her wall was up most of the time, and that was usually the same for her lover. But the brunette's wall wasn't as hard as her lovers, and she often let it down around her. She trusted Alena with her, even her soul if that was a choice, and she knew the two of them would always do so.
Her lover had been bottling up so many emotions inside of herself that it was very hard on the brunette. Usually Genni was the comforting arms that her love would run into, but lately the other woman had been running away from any arms. The only time she could comfort her love had been in the bedroom. All the tension and hidden emotions had taken it's toll on the couple. The two had been living separate lives in one house for the past few months, and all the brunette wanted to do was have one day where they could share their lives again.
Now she had felt guilty for wanting that. She had known that her lover had been extremely tired, and the woman looked even worse when in person. She tried to hold in the guilt on her face, because she did not want to upset Alena, but she had slipped up yet again. She tried to shake off the look of guilt as much as she could and replace it with a smile. Today was supposed to be a day for joy, not gloom, and she was going to try to make it as joyful as possible.
As she watched her lover smile, in accomplishment, she tried to hold in her own joy. She knew her lover was competitive and the other woman definitely loved winning. The blonde had completely won today, that was shown already. She had sacrificed her day just to try to make Genni happy, and that had been enough for the brunette. But for them to actually find the same place as they had that loving memory, now this was a perfect day.
She was pulled back from her thoughts as she felt familiar digits brush against her skin. She missed the touch of those fingers. They used to touch her everywhere and those hands used to be like a magnet on her body. Sometimes the brunette wondered if she wasn't attractive enough or if she was getting too old for the blonde, but then she pushed those ridiculous thoughts out of her mind. There love was much stronger than that, and they would make it through this one step at a time.
The next step was to start off the day with a laugh. She gave a light comment, to see if she could get her lover to blush, and it worked. She felt a warmth spread through her, of pure happiness, when she heard the other woman laugh. Even though it was a small laugh, it was something she had missed lately. That small laugh gave her hope.
More hope ran through her body as she was pulled closer to the other woman. She felt safe in those arms, and she never wanted to leave those arms. Resting her head against the other woman's chest she closed her eyes. She hummed to herself as the other woman kissed her ears.
Her eyes remained closed until the blonde pulled away. After they had conversed about a few things she couldn't figure out what to do first. She wasn't always the best at finding things to do, but she did come up with some good suggestions. As she giggled she noticed her lover blinking. She knew that the other woman had probably missed some of what she had said, due to over tiredness, but she knew that she would never ask for it to be repeated.
Instead her lover's hands reached up towards her hair. She smiled as she felt the warm love from the other woman wrapping around her, tenderly. She couldn't explain how much she adored the simple things the two of them shared. The words that came out of Alena's mouth could only be reacted with a simple nod. She knew that protesting anything other wise, or stating her guilt again, would only end in the other woman shaking her head.
She was expecting the blonde to react, but she didn't expect her face being touched or her being pulled into another hug. She took it all in, with one deep breath, and nuzzled her face into the blonde's neck. So much love had been building up inside of her, and with the other woman missing in action lately these simple acts were making more of an impact upon Genni.
She felt tears of joy trying to escape her eyes, but she held them in. She didn't want the other woman to think that she had been this effected by the distance lately. She didn't want anything to ruin this day, especially not something she could've prevented with a little more self control. So with a little more control she kept in those tears of joy and just enjoyed the embrace.
As her lover held her and spoke to her, she felt herself being soothed by it all. She swayed back and forth with the other woman and nodded towards her promising to stay close. As hands worked their way, massaging in a sense, up her back she let out a soft purr. She loved when the blonde massaged her back. Her lover had such strong hands they always seemed to get out the knots that Genni often had from swimming. If she had it her way she would lay under the stars with the woman rubbing down her body all night, but she wanted to do something special.
She had dragged her lover out here, and she knew there was a very mild trail through the woods. She had ran in there last time they were there, to explore, and had found a rock with a beautiful view. She wanted to find that again, and watch the sunset from there, and she knew that the trail wasn't very hard at all. It was a straight walk and there were no hills.
Slowly she looked up at the other woman, while still in her arms. She didn't want to leave from this spot, but she knew they would enjoy the other place better. "I recall a rock, through the woods, that had a beautiful view. There is barely any climbing, and very mild hills. We are already up further than we know, and the walk isn't very far from here. If you feel as though you can make it another half mile or so, that is an option. We could set up the blanket and watch the sunset from a very beautiful view. It is up to you though, dear. If you feel as though you would rather stay here, or are too exhausted to walk that way, please be honest about it. I want this night to be perfect for the both of us. And so far everything is perfect for me..because i'm with you"
With that she slid her hands on both of her lover's cheeks. Pushing up on her tip toes, she placed her lips against the blonde's lips. Her fingers delicately stroked her lover's skin as she nibble at Alena's lower lip. When she pulled away, her eyes met her loves, awaiting a response.

Alena could tell that the smaller woman was close to crying. It was impossible not to- being physically this close at the moment and simply by knowing Genni for a long time. She may not be able to focus on several things lately but she was still attuned to her partner’s feelings. Alena could tell that she wasn’t upset- at least, she hoped not. Still, all she wanted to do was to wipe the tears away. She held back though because as well as she knew her she could tell that Genni didn’t want her to notice. So, she would pretend she didn’t. Instead, she kept the other woman close, her cheek up against hers.
She furrowed her brow slightly when she heard the answer. She was unsure if Genni was being indecisive, or if she just didn’t know how to give a straight answer. Her mind was still tired, more so than her body, so how was she supposed to know where the brunette was talking about. She gave a small sigh, not pulling away from the embrace. She didn’t bother trying to think exactly where her partner was talking about. There was no point- Genni seemed to know what was talking about and that was enough. She could follow easily. That wasn’t the problem; the problem was that she was exhausted and she wanted to sleep. It wasn’t like she was going to admit that. “Ok, I hope you know where you are going, though. I don’t, so I will trust you with this one.”
She drew away slightly to talk easier. A small smile appeared on her lips, but she couldn’t make it any bigger. Alena rested her head on the other woman’s, closing her eyes as she massaged her neck gently. “You don’t have to worry about me. I will go anywhere with you in able to see your smile.” It did not really matter that she was tired. She would be tired if she failed to do anything today, or if she did everything. It was a default for her lately, and she was getting used to it. Therefore, it would not have made a difference in what she did then she might as well go along with what her partner wanted. “I’m fine to go, I promise. All I need is to be close to you. Don’t worry about it.”
Her arms were still wrapped firmly around the other woman when she came in for the kiss. Alena let her arms support her, closing her eyes briefly. She wanted to deepen the kiss but the smaller woman already pulled away. She blinked her eyes with a dazed expression before it faded away. Shaking her head, she smiled and licked her lips. Her hand went to Genni’s cheek and rubbed her cheekbone gently. She leaned forward and gave a small kiss on her nose. “Come on, we’ll never get there if we get distracted.”

Genni knew that her partner would probably notice her sudden change in emotion. Her breath had a slight hiccup to it and she knew a few tears had slipped away from her blue eyes, regardless of how hard she tried to how them back. Tears of joy were still tears, and she truly hoped that her lover didn't take them the wrong way if she did notice. Eventually the brunette was thankful that her lover seemed to not notice. If her love did notice she wasn't showing any sign of it. She was just giving Genni the comfort that she needed.
She smiled softly as her cheek was kept against the blonde's cheek. The tough of their skin together made her get butterflies in her stomach. Even after all these years, this was the only person who made her fall in love with her all over again. She was happy just to be here with Alena, even though they had been going through a rougher time lately.
Lately was nothing to them today. Today was a day for new beginnings, and she hoped they would get started on the right foot. She didn't want to feel alone anymore. She didn't want Alena to be overly focused on everything else going on. She didn't want to be left in the dark anymore. All she wanted was for them to fight their love once again. She just wanted them to re-discover their love for each other. And that's what she intended on happening today.
She hoped for this as she continued to stay safe in her lover's arms. When she answered on what to do next, she could envision it and she thought she vaguely remembered the trail. She knew where she was going, or she hoped she did. She could almost remember it exactly. Her memory was usually very dependable, but she had been so pre-focused lately that it was hard to be precise about anything. Still, she was pretty confident that she knew where this wonderful sight was. "I am confident that I do know where we are heading. Not to worry at all, love."
She felt the other woman pull away right after she answered. But they did not pull away completely. She rested her head gently against her partners as well, closing her eyes to enjoy the moment more. She had missed moments like this lately, and she intended to take it in as much as possible. She listened as the other woman spoke and protested that she was fine to go on the adventure.
She was still hesitant about it, but she knew that if her lover truly could not go on the journey she would state a different option. A soft giggle slipped through her lips when she was pulled from her thoughts. She focused on the other woman licking her lips and touching her cheek gently. The touch of her cheek was the thing that had caused her to giggle. When she was about to blush her cheeks always seemed to have a slight tickle to them. She had no idea why this happened, but she imagined the sudden blood flow was the cause. A soft hue slowly went to her cheeks right before Alena had stated that they should head out.
With a firm nod she took her lovers hand, holding the woman close to her encase anything happened. She picked up a few things they would need for the sunset and started towards the woods down the trail. Much to her surprise she remembered almost every step of the trail, except one rock that she almost tripped over. "Ack! watch out for that rock sticking out."
She stated those words as soon as she caught herself. The last thing she needed was to sprain her ankle at a time like this. There was no time to sit and think about why she hadn't remembered such a danger. The next steps she recognized completely. After a short period of time they had come to the edge of a mild cliff.
She stopped them a few feet before it and began setting up one the blanket on the ground, while leaving the other to cover themselves up with if needed. This would be a great spot for them to watch the sunset. It looked as though they were just in time. They were going to get to enjoy one of natures beautiful acts. "So, what do you think?"
