The water mist sprayed toward the shore, as the waves crashed against the rocky walls. The wind picked up once in a while, and were heavy, but mostly calm. There were some clouds in the sky, and dark. When you would look out into the ocean, you never knew when you might see a Prythiran jump from the water if they could. Birds danced in the high winds, and the scent of the ocean just stained your lungs. As you grow closer, you can hear that light sound of flaring nostrils, and the sound of air blowing from them. Those sounds were coming from a white mare that stood just at the edge of the water, as the tides came in, just brushing by her hooves, and pulling back into the ocean. It was a never ending routine for the water. To the coast, and get pulled back, to the coast, and back. The sound of a breeze blew through the air, dancing between Kovena's mane and tail, as it blew them to the east, the direction the wind was going. Her eyes were shut closed, as she quietly took in the smell of the water, and the natural sounds. She could picture it in her head just by what she could hear. She had no powers, it was her being her observant self was all.
Her eyes only opened to the sound of wings flapping rapidly, and the "thump" feeling that landed on her back. She laughed softly, before turning her head, as she looked over to shoulder toward Yuha. A friendly, grumpy, and fun bird, but brave, and courageous. This bird was always watching over her, even in her sleep. He was like the father she never had. Any Eagle was loyal, and responsible, but in Kovena's mind, Yuha could be a bit too much of that. She got annoyed a lot, but couldn't help, but smile every time he would get protective. Her real parents got rid of her, and her adoptive parents were too strict. Yuha, was like the perfect parent out there, being a bird she didn't care, he didn't treat her as a bird, but that might have been because Yuha was her shadow. Yuha what are you doing? Should you not be patrolling you old grumpy bird? She grinned softly as she narrowed her eyes and gave the bird an evil like look. Her ears twitched listening to the sound of the waves, and all the other sounds around her. The hair of her tail flicked, wiping up and then falling back-down a couple of times.
"Kovena, I am not security remember, and the winds are getting wilder, it is dangerous for me to fly." Yuha responded. Kovena looked away, lowering her head slightly, and letting out a deep sigh. Excuses... she chuckled before raising her head, and staring out into the ocean. "It is beautiful isn't it?" Her voice softened, and her tone was softer, filling with calm, and honest thoughts. The wind blew again, allowing her mane and tail to dance in the breeze once more. She stumbled her feet for a moment, sand sticking slightly to her hooves. Should we find a place to shelter? She looked over her shoulder toward Yuha, as he observed the surroundings. "That would be a good idea" he replied. She was about to turn around, but the sound of something moving in sand caught her attention. "Who's there?!" Her voice yelled out over the sound of the crashing waves. Her eyes carefully observing her surroundings.

KERES - December 15, 2010 03:45 AM (GMT)
The sea was angry. That much was obvious. The sea had turned dark blue, a navy color painting the mass of water. White foam frothed at the edges of the waves as the black statue watched from the cliffs above. Dark gray clouds came rolling in with each chilled gust of wind. Soon the bay was filled with ominous slate clouds, ready to burst at any second. Black cliffs soared at the sides of the water, the center made of dull granite colored sand, sand giving way to black rocks that made the shoreline. It was the scene of an ocean battle almost. Curiously though, the beach of Thynid, which was notorious for having bodies strewn about in a haphazard manner, was clean of carcasses for the time being. There was no scent of blood and decay in the air, just the smell of the coming storm. Thunder rolled in the distance, the waves getting stronger at each beat of the distant sound. Soon, the waves splashed higher against the jutting cliff the statue stood on. A curving smile curled itself on the stallion's lips. He always loved storms at sea.
The stallion was comprised of noble and strong bloodlines. That of Fresian and Iberian Warhorse coursed through his veins, gifting him with strong, steel like muscles and towering height. Hide as black as a moonless night was stretched taunt over said muscles. He had the the classic Fresian trademark of feathers of the Fresian along with the slight waviness of his mane that was down to his shoulder. He had a baroque style build, inheriting that from his Iberian Warhorse lineage. A chiseled head sat atop a strong, thick neck. He looked like he was carved out of black marble almost, but he was alive. Keres, what is your fascination with ocean storms? His shadow asked, the large black panther coming to stand beside him on the black cliff. "I don't know. The storms at sea are just more powerful I guess. A wave can bring down cliffs if it is strong enough." His deep voice rumbled, like smooth thunder as he spoke to his shadow.
Snorting, Keres turned around, walking off the mass of jutting stone with small clicks of his large hooves. Soon, the sinister pair were walking down the beach, an aura of power and confidence pouring off of them. The panther, known as Chimera, looked up as he heard the flapping wings of an eagle. Chimera licked his lips, even as he saw the eagle alighting on a white figure on the distance. "Now, Chimera, don't eat the poor thing." Keres reprimanded with a mischievous smirk. "Why, Keres! You take me as some sort of a monster!" Chimera shot back. "Well, you are named for one of the most powerful and ferocious." Keres reminded him.
As the pair approached the other pair, Keres saw that it was a mare, a beautiful one at that Keres shocked himself by thinking. He heard the mare speak, and he'd be lying to say he didn't like the sound of her voice. "Don't worry. Why I waste my time hurting an unknown mare?" He spoke, coming to stand five feet from her, Chimera flanking him. "I'm Keres, this is Chimera. May I know your name?" He asked, a crooked smile upon his black maw. His eyes, which were usually black, were now a storm gray color, black rimming the edges. His eyes hadn't been gray in a long time.
OOC: not the best, but good! lol

Kovena could feel the wind picking up. She definitely knew she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Storms were not Kovena's favorite. The were loud, windy, and well, just got her wet. The waves were strongly picking up. If you looked toward the cliffs, the waves were bending almost to the edge of the top. They were powerful, and seemed like monsters eating up the land you were standing on. Ocean storms were not pretty things, and were storms you did not want to be in the middle of. Kovena looked toward a stallion and a panther. The stallion was large and black, breed seemed to be friesian, but she could tell he had other lines in him as well. Kovena took a few steps back, as he approached her. She felt like she wasn't suppose to get close to him. His build seemed to over power herself, but she raised her head, and took a step forward again. Her courageous, and risk taking personality was beginning to show.

Her eyes looked toward the pair. They seemed like a pair for sure. Two powerful creatures, against two meek ones. What a match. Kovena narrowed her eyes, as she observed his actions. He seemed gentle, but she could not let her guard down yet, especially with the storm rolling in. How ironic that was. "I'm Keres, this is Chimera. May I know your name?" The stallion spoke. Is he already asking for my name? Who is he? Some over grown player?! Kovena thought. Yuha hoped carefully with his wings pinned to his side to her shoulder. His head titled up as he glanced at her. My dear, do not get ahead of yourself. You are a very brave person, and I know that very well, just be yourself like always. Yuha replied. Kovena sighed, as she relaxed her muscles and looked toward Keres again. "Is is not rude to ask someone their name off the bat? But if that is how you role, then I have nothing to say. The name is Kovena, and this Eagle here is Yuha. Pleasure to meet you." She gave a soft soothing smile, as she raised her crown high. Her eyes remaining on the duo before her.

His feathers were stunning she had to agree. They were long, and very elegant. Her eyes stopped looking down at his hooves and turned back to his face. The sound of thunder clashing in the sky distracted her. Her head turned sharply as she looked toward the sky. A flash of lightning flashed at the same time. Yuha.. She thought worrisome. Calm down, you will be okay. Yuha's words were soft to her heart. She nodded softly before looking back toward the Sivicus duo again.

KERES - December 20, 2010 03:30 AM (GMT)
Keres watched her body movements with interest. She seemed to be afraid of lightning. The Banomith heard his shadow start to laugh in his mind and swiftly reprimanded him through the telepathy all Sinvicus shared with their Shadows. Chimera! Don't laugh at the girl. At this, Chimera appeared taken back. Since when are you so protective of a mare? Much less one you've known for what, five minutes?! the panther fired back. For this, Keres didn't have an answer. "Kovena? A beautiful name for a beautiful girl." Keres found himself saying. Hearing another sharp crack of lightning, closely followed by a louder boom of thunder, Keres made a quick decision. "Come on. Let's get you out of this storm." Keres said and started walking towards a sea cave that was hidden in a cliff, one had to walk along a path in the cliff to even see it, more walking ensued to get in it. But it was safe and secure, a pool of fresh water, fed by an underground stream was in the back of the rather spacious cavern, sea grass breaking through the rock and growing in small clumps strewn about on the rock floor.
Chimera took up position at the front of the cave, lying down flicking his tail aimlessly, his body language communicating that he wasn't going to harm Kovena or her Shadow at all. It was warm and dry in the cave, only growing chilled when a strong gust of wind blew through the cave mouth occasionally. Keres himself went to the back of the cave, his way illuminated by the small holes worn in the roof of the cave. He lowered his great crown and took a drink of the cool water before taking a bite of some sea grass. The plant was salty, yes, but not nearly as salty as the grass that grew directly on the shore. "So, what brings you to the ocean?" He asked, lying down himself, as to show that he wasn't planning on hurting Kovena or Yuha.
OOC: I know how you feel. And its fine! I don't mind waiting ;)
