(I posted this as a response elsewhere and realized I had just written a mini guide. icon_wink.gif )

STRIKE PM!!!

The cheapest strike leveling comes from creating humans or beasts and taking their strike weapons and monomates. To rely on this method leads to insanity however.

A one star strike weapon costs 350 at an NPC store (can be cheaper in player shops which is why they get bought out in bulk). It provides 4 levels of strike and reduces technic 1 level. That means it costs 87.5 meseta per strike point. The costs go up from there. I never found a way to get around this curve. To level strike faster, you pay more.

Examples:

A Durandal Replica is a 7 star strike weapon. It raises strike 28 and lowers technic 4. Based on the cost/strike point of a 1 star weapon (87.5 meseta), it would be a great deal to find a Durandal Replica for 2,450 meseta or less. If you pay more than that, you're paying more to get your PM leveled faster. Most players are willing to do that of course.

Omega Acid and PM Fighgroll. As of the 6th of March 2008, Omega Acids are going for about 20,000 meseta in player shops. That means it costs about 100,000 meseta per Fighgroll. So that's 2,500 per strike point. Yeah, pretty expensive for that 40 point boost.

Some information:

Each level is 100 points so to reach level 100 you need 10,000 points total (that would be 2,500 one star strike weapons). You can feed 100 items per every 12 hours. That means 200 items every day if you log in later. So if you were crazy enough to rely solely on one star weapons, that would take 12 and a half days of very dedicated feeding.

Things that help:

You can speed things up by using Monomates, Moon Atomizers (my favorite), or other similar items, BUT you must make sure that technic never goes above level zero. There's no way of going down a level once you reach it other than a Device Zero which wipes all your work. Strike weapons will keep that technic level in check.

Search player shops with the "condition search" function. Try adjusting the rarity, price, and category (as opposed to searching by name). You can find sweet deals from time to time (like cheap Durandal Replicas) that will boost your strike level by a huge amount. Those get bought up fast of course so you have to make it a routine to check.

Do C mission runs and actually pick junk up. You'll get those monomates and such, meseta to buy cheap strike weapons, and also synth mats and boards for this next suggestion. Synthesize. As your PM increases in strike level it becomes practical to synthesize low grade weapons (preferably with neutral photons as the elemental photons could be sold for a nice profit or saved for your later S rank synthing). Feed those neutral strike weapons back into your PM. Yes, feed it its own poop.

Happy feeding! smiling.gif

Event missions are good for PM leveling. The only problem is running out of room after picking up all the crap weapons...
