Episode 7, Louise's Part-Time Job

Concerned about the welfare of the commoners, princess Henrietta asks Louise (and Saito) to work undercover in a nearby town.

This episode will be the start of my other set of reviews?Or should I say retelling of the story? hehe

Meeting with Princess Henrietta, Louise was congratulated by the princess herself for the marvelous feat she accomplished in the previous episode. Even Saito was given the honor of having the princess' trust as the young lady entrusted her important friend the commoner Familiar to protect. Princess Henrietta even offered her hand to Saito as a reward to the service she is asking from him. Louise objected because according to her Saito is not deserving of such privilege, but the beautiful princess said that asking Saito to protect Louise is the same as asking the familiar his loyalty to the princess and such loyalty should have a reward. Saito, however, misunderstood the gesture the Princess made and thought that he was still treated like a dog. Louise corrected him but had not been very clear or specific about the gesture's meaning when she said, "simply put, you may kiss her." Of course, the commoner familiar thought of it as marvelous without knowing what it really meant. Hesitating a bit, Louise told him to hurry because it is quite rude. As Saito proceeded in the 'kiss' he gave the princess, both Louise and especially the princess got shocked of what Saito did as he kissed Princess Henrietta on her very lips. The princess even fainted afterwards! And Louise got absolutely mad.

Saito got beaten up because of what he did. Louise thinks he is an idiot because he kissed the princess on the lips when he is supposed to kiss Henrietta's hand.

The princess had not minded much since it was an accident brought by a misunderstanding though she seemed embarrased. She said that she would really like to ask a favor from Louise that is why they were called. Having heard that some nobles try to abuse their social status and cause oppresion towards the commoners, Princess Henrietta asked both Master and Familiar to do an undercover job for her. The royal young lady already asked some other nobles about such incident if it is possible and all did not agree with her opinion because "nobles are examples to the commoners." But because of the previous happening with a Count on episode 4, the princess thought that there is still a possibilty of that unfairness to happen. So the secret mission was issued together with a certificate, and Louise and Saito are to live in town for a while.

Having been given the money to use in the said mission, Louise wanted to use the sum to have all 'necessary things' she need which according to her would include not simple dresses, a fanciful hotel room, a horse and the like. However, the money given to them by the princess was limited because the mission was a secret one. So she used the money in gambling in the hopes of acquiring larger sum than what she already have. But unfortunately, the money had all been lost to games.

Refusing the temptation of asking the princess for more money, the two tried to think on how to earn and especially where to spend the night since evening is approaching. They were overheard by a weird guy (or gay) who is an owner of a bar like place. Both master and familiar were offered a place to stay and some food to eat but with one condition, Louise is supposed to work in the bar as a waitress.

At the work, Saito and Louise posed as siblings. Saito will work in the kitchen and Louise will be one of the few waitresses working at that place. A competition ensued as the gay owner said that whoever gets the largest collection of tip, that waitress will be awarded the opportunity to wear a costume that is said a magical dress that allows the wearer to have as many tips as she wants while wearing it. The owner even stated that the previous winner of the inter competition got so enough money to even retire to her old hometown.

Louise thought of it as a chance but unfortunately she lacks the skills, the figure and the patience to undergo the 'humiliation' every time there was a customer she needs to serve.

An opportunity came when a noble appeared in the place and she serve him. However, she was disgusted as to what the noble said to her that she had hurt the fat man. Saito tried to save Louise when she was to be attacked by the guards of the noble for hitting the oppresor. Saito of course failed because his sword was in the attic. However, Louise still got her wand. What was supposedly bad for their mission turned out to be a nice chance. She got rid of the noble tax man and she even got the largest tip! Though the money was not intended to be tip for Louise.

The owner and the girls at the bar ignored what happened and had blinded themselves as to who Louise and Saito really were. Louise even got the winner's reward of "magical dress," and Saito was awed by her appearance while wearing the dreass that he was able to utter only "Tres Bien."

In another place, the thief secretary was to be freed by an unknown accomplice to be wtached out for.
