The Cafe at the End of the Universe
Somewhere in the Desert, there is a Door which leads, oddly enough, to the Café at the End of the Universe--or perhaps multiverse. It’s a lovely little spot where characters can kick back, unwind, and take a break from things. And of course, complain about the newest madness that those silly ‘Roleplayer’ people have perpetrated on their lives. They’ve got great tea; well, when we say great, we mean alright. But the lattes are delicious.

In other words, this is the one, and the only, RP board on which you are allowed to play Whack-a-Fourth-Wall. To your heart’s content—smash it into little unrecognizable pieces, if you please. Because everything set here is entirely for the sake of fun, humour, and having nothing at all to do with the real plot whatsoever, in any way, shape or form. Enjoy.

The Crash Site
The first plane sank to the bottom of the lagoon. The second however broke away into two separate halves and crashed into the hard desert sand causing pieces of wreckage to be strewn about for miles. After the explosions not much was left of the main pieces of the aircraft, but they can still be reached...

The Oasis
The oasis is a paradise in the middle of the barren desert. It's practically a forest in its own right filled with a myriad of tropical plants that provide excellent shade from the scorching sun. It expands along the side of the lagoon and as a result has several river-like tributaries coursing through it.

The Lagoon
The City's only source of fresh water is its large lake that borders the eastern edge of the city. The water is a clean crystalline blue, not touched with even the slightest hint of pollution. The shallower parts are wonderful for swimming and bathing, but it's probably best to keep from going too far out. Nobody quite knows how deep the lagoon goes, although it's obviously deep enough to allow for a large airplane to sink beneath the surface.

Dark Caverns
Nestled in the desert lie a series of deep and intricate caverns. The caves have a branchwork pattern, suggesting the presence of water sometime in the desert’s history. The caves are winding, confusing, and deep, with many paths often terminating in dead ends. Try not to get lost.

City Streets
Narrow cobble-stone corridors that connect every major point in the city. They're lined with abandoned houses, shops, and just about anything else you can imagine.

Town Square
In the center of the abandoned city lies a large open square. The mud bricks that form the even ground are somewhat cracked and crumbled in places, but it is still a far smoother surface than the desert outside the city. A broken down fountain, long since dried out, stands in the very center.

The Storehouses
Food and weapons have been provided in plenty for the passengers although the food supplies are considerably smaller in number than the football-field-length warehouse that contains the weaponry. Crates upon crates of canned food and other non-perishables are stacked up in a building near to the weapons stores, all arranged in alphabetical order. The weapons store itself is enormous, filled with hundreds and hundreds of weapons of all description--perhaps just about every type in existence. How ever long they may have been here, they're all in quite nice shape. Oh goody.

The Junkyard
Just what it says. It's a trash heap. A field of twisted scrap metal, broken down old vehicles, and the occasional skeleton. Still, one man's trash is another man's treasure! You never know what you'll find if you look...

The Underground
The Underground is an elaborate network of ancient, long dried up sewer tunnels that run beneath the entire city. It's very useful for traveling about when the sun is burning too brightly for your taste (it's accessible anywhere you can find a sewer lid) but it’s also a very good place to lose your way. Don’t be surprised if you find a skeleton or two. Indeed those poor lost travelers are the least of your worries--rats aren’t the only things living down here.

The Hospital
Well it's not a hospital in the sense that you or I would think of. It's actually one of the houses, converted into a tiny make-shift hospital by survivors who were able to keep their heads long enough to give thought to the injured. Several beds taken from unused houses have been lined against the walls, and the few medical supplies that were salvaged have all been stored here.

Bordering the lake and stretching off to the north, south and west are simply, multi-story mud-brick houses. All are packed close-together and inside are basic wooden furnishings. It seems there is no electricity or running water but many of the houses (or shops as some seem to be) contain 'emergency rations' such as canned food, bottles of water and blankets. How odd...
