[IDEA] YNH SUBBING GROUP

Okay, so Saku-pu brought the idea up but I've been thinking 'bout it myself for awhile, so I'm glad she mentioned it so people uhm.. got interested in it ! OKAY.
So what we need IS ! ;

Translator: Zeldi (but I need at least ONE more. I know that I'm not able to do it myself)
RAW provider: Kuro-puppy
Editor: Saku-pu, Saati
Timer: Seagull
Typesetter: Eriol-chan
Quality checker: Kuro-puppy
Encoder: Kritean
Uploader: (If we're going to share it outside the forum) Kuro-puppy

I think I can do the timing and stuff like that, I have a program for that XD because I really want to help XD

I will do Quality checking and uploading ^_^

I'm sorry to say that I don't know that much myself about every task. 8D;

Question~ What will your projects be?

Maybe we could do an anime that has no subbers as our project?


the only anime I know of that have no subbers are:


- Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and the 2nd season
- Kodomo no Jikan
- StrikerS Interviews (not an anime but nobody subs it and I-chan was already working on them XD)


Just an idea tough. Feel free to ignore.


And then the question remains...what format are we gonna release in? Avi or MKV format, or perhaps both?

I'm all for it~ Need to think of the poor animes without any subbers! hahaha yes.

Personally I would like to do non-anime stuff too~ Mostly stuff that features Nana-sama but also maybe other artists! :D;
If that's okay with the rest of you.

I think both~ Not all people can play mkv files because their computer can't handle it and others prefer mkv because the quality is better!


And we still NEED an Editor (I think Saati was interested in it? She said that she's good at grammar) and an Encoder! + MORE translators
Understudies can be good to have too. If someone is not able to do his/her job then this person will jump in~

agreed. I was personally hoping we would do avi as well. Not everyone can use avi and not to mention that avi format is required to make LQ versions for dial-up users (for some reason a lot of subbers aren't doing avi anymore v.v).

But i've gotta check what quality checking is all about because I thought that was the one with checking the grammar but apparently it isn't *starts googling* XD

I think I might be able to be an Editor..

I 'might' be able to fill the role of encoder, but I'd have to look into it a bit more so dun list me yet.


I know Pinnacle Studio's Plus 11 offers several different types of encoding, including, but not limited to: AVI, Xvid, DivX and many others, some of which I've never heard of. I can even custom encode stuff to use one type of video quality, but a completely different type of audio (IE: High Quality, low Audio, or Low Quality and high audio..)


So let me get back to you guys once my computer comes back from the shop (estimated: sometime next monday *not THIS monday, but the monday after, I had to replace many of the components due to defects*) once it's back in my hands I'll reinstall Pinnacle SP 11 and double check it's encoding; then I'll list them for Zeldi-sama


Oh and... *drops a Yuuno plushy on Zeldi* why didn't ya tell me you were going to do something like this? Ya know I would've offered my assistance xD
