Welcome to the world of Yalathra, an alternate reality role-playing game where wizards, witches, and demons are not simply things adults use to amuse or scare their children into behaving. This is a world where magic and users of magic are just as common as those without the ability. A world where demonic attacks are not questioned, but taken very seriously. In the past few centuries, tensions between races have been thick, memories of large-scale wars lingering in the minds of leaders. Soon, the times will call for those differences to be put aside to confront evils beyond those of themselves... We are an intermediate to advanced writing board, brand new and fresh out of the box. Over two centuries have passed since the end of the great war between the races. Many lives were lost on both sides and many of the longer-living races have even longer memories. There are many who have left the past in the past, but in the shadow of a world government formed out of a timid wish for peace, a threat has begun to seep into Yalathra. If they are to conquer this threat before powerful creatures of darkness consume it, unity will be vital. Should they fail to come together, blood will color the lands and fill the waters of this broken world.

Yalathra is loosely based on several fantasy works including: Circle of Magic Series by Tamora Pierce, Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling, Charmed, Yu Yu Hakusho and bits and parts of Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien. That being said, we have taken combined, expanded, and modified all of those works, mingling and merging them with our own. Yalathra is an original alternate reality role-playing game with its own original rights. This site claims no rights over any of the original work of these authors, nor do we claim to play within the rules of their respective realities. However, the owners of Yalathra reserve all rights to the original graphics, the skin, any plots we create, and information pertaining to the magics, the races or the creatures.
