"Maggie is a very sweet girl. She's a bit of a nutter, yes, but she's just one of those girls that makes you want to be better. I've never seen anyone come to her for help and be turned away. That's what I like about her, I guess. She owns a very pure soul. Some would just call her a very typical Ravenclaw, though. Always studying, always trying to make good marks, and never disappoint. She's strong, like that. Strong willed when it comes to the things that she knows and can trust, like a book. I just don't really know if she can make heads or tails when it comes to me. Conversation can be...slow, at times. It's hard to draw her out, for some reason, and I can't really tell if I bug her, or just make her nervous.

Honestly, I think she's great. She and I are rather similar, and the more I'm around her, the more I feel like I'm looking in a mirror. Sometimes, I just don't like what I see. Sometimes, I feel like she and I haven't really accomplished much. Our worlds are rather routine. We do the same things, day in and day out, work our way up to another test so we can pass it with flying colors, and then proceed to studying, again. Sure, Silas drags me out all over the place, which is where nearly all of my adventures come from, but Maggie doesn't really have that option. No one drags her anywhere, really, which is what I'm trying to change.

I can...be adventurous, right? I can be spontaneous and crazy and fun. I hope. I don't really know where any of it is going, or how it started, or what's driving it, but with her, I feel like I need to be different. Like I need to take a few pages out of Silas's book and figure out how to actually go out and grab something I want, or make the impossible just a trick away from reality. He's always telling me to start going out and taking what I want in life. Maybe Maggie and I want the same things: just to be noticed, for once, and to have our world painted with a little color."

"James Regulus Knightly. The bane of my Hogwarts life. In general, he used to be, and now, I don't know. I used to try to avoid him as much as I could - that is, when we weren't being paired up in classes together or whatnot. But now... after the incident in the library and what happened after that... I can't say we're quite just acquaintances anymore. But then again, I can't say what we are because I haven't a clue.

I can, however, say that he's dangerous to me. He's one of those incredibly sweet guys that I can see myself falling for - and if I haven't already started falling for him, I'm sure I will. He's just... I don't know. He seems to act so differently around me than I've ever seen him. I think part of it is because he's trying to show me a different tint to the world than what we're both used to... and I like it. That's the scary part. I like difference, I like change... I don't like the fact that I like how he changes around me, if that makes sense.

Will this turn out to be something? I don't know. I'm scared though. Honestly scared. A relationship - with him, especially! - is something I both want and fear, if that's possible."
