YliaThe Ylia have actual names that are composed of string of sensory data. Naturally, these names don't translate well to other species. Therefore, the Ylia often end up adopting a name from the species that they interact with the most. Sometimes the chosen name is also just a word the Ylia has taken to liking, or even a nickname someone gave them that stuck. Ylia seldom reveal their actual names to non-Ylia. To know a Ylia's actual name is a sign that the given Ylia trusts them greatly.
HumansThere really is no rhyme or reason for the names humans pick. They just seem to like how something sounds and decide to use it as a name.
ZorvikThe Zorvik all refer to themselves as "Zorvik." They're an inventive bunch. If asked for a personal name, most Zorvik replay with an indexing code like "QR23T" or something similar. However, the occasional Zorvik does try to come up with an interesting personal name, often involving letters from their indexing code. The names usually sound just as stilted as the indexing codes though.
Phantom_Slinky has provided a link to a random letter generator that could be useful to Zorvik players. You can insert numbers into the letter set as well, and set the length of the random sequence.
Random Letter GeneratorGarnithThough similar to the humans in naming scheme, in the fact that they don't really have one, there are common similarities in the name from one Garnith to another. They seem to rely heavily on the 'r' and 's' sounds, often sounding very guttural. The names are coming out of that scheme though, as the name is often hard on the throats of the other races, but still prevalent.
XillXill names, much like the name of their species is very short and easy to say. They use names only as identifiers of one another, and don't place a lot of emphasis on them. Names are rarely more than a single syllable.
AsfarenNamed by Zorvik, these creatures are often referred to as names such as 'Worker 7' or 'Programmer 25.' The Asfaren that begin to gain intelligence, however, often choose a name that suits their abilities. (A computer-specialist may choose a name like Giga or Modem, for example.)
