"The year is 2411. The setting? The colony of Initium, est. 2386. The problem? Those filthy Alliance soldiers think they can just land on our moon whenever they want, and Marcus Caine isn't doing a thing about it. It's just a matter of time before someone snaps- I swear it."

They came in a massive ship without warning. As soon as they landed, they disappeared into Initium Hall at the center of town. No one explained what 'the enemy' was doing in the colony. No one tossed them out even though they didn't belong in Fringe territory. . .

Some people are hoping the Alliance will absorb the colony. Some want nothing more than to see the soldiers leave-- forced out, if necessary. All seem to be wondering why the Alliance has come and what they actually plan to do. As time drags on, the number of colonists willing to wait for an explanation dwindles.

People are taking sides. The colony's splitting apart. It isn't a matter of whether or not the colony will enter a state of chaos. It's just a matter of when.

"I'm not sure Initium can make it through this one . . ."
