In spite of all of the problems that caused delays in the setting-up and testing of my lighting rig and setting-up, equalising and sound checking my sound rig, which caused a knock-on delay to the band's running times, what a fantastic week-end.

A big thank you to all those who gave their time, immence affort and services for free, to enable more money to go to the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.

I had to take a extra day's leave on Monday, as I was so exhausted, that I couldn't get to work. I have still not fully recovered, but it was well worth it.

I took the whole week off, just to de-rig my equipment from my studio, test it all, program my new LED lighting and pack it into all of my storage cases and label it up ready for transport.

I have completed a write-up of my involvement in this great annual event, on the soundengineer.co.uk web site and this is the link to it.

Well done everyone.
Cheers, John & Andy

A big "Thank You" to John and Andy for thier hard work (and patience) in setting up and running the sound and lighting for us. Sorry for the delays, which I thought they worked around very nicely. Unfortunately, the broken-down catering wagon (which had to be rescued from a layby on the far side of Oxford) could not have been foreseen or prevented. This was a major contributor to preventing running the cables to FoH. I think sheeting over the stage needs to be made a priority next year. That would enable earlier progress with the stage set-up.

Overall and without doubt, this was the best Chinnor to date. Probably run with less staff than previously, everyone really pulled their weight and gave of their best. We constantly strive to improve year on year and I think that was evident again, especially with the site layout, the bar arrangements, the stalls, the ride-in and ticket pre-sales. So long as we take the lessons from this year and apply them next year then this worthwhile annual event can only get better and better.

Thanks to everyone involved and everyone who came. See you all next year!

Hi Guys, is anyone working on a write-up for the main web page and collecting more photos for the gallery?
John.

Hi Guys, as you know I am always doing charity gigs and provide my equipment and services for free.

Since Chinnor Bike Dayz XIII, I have completed 2 more charity gigs in Middlesex and Yorkshire, for very worthy local charities.

Both of these events have posted full details of the funds raised, many photos of the bands involved and full write-ups.

Any chance of a write-up and details of the funds raised, as this is what it was all about.?
