Hello everyone,

I've been asked to post WIPs so here is my very first one. I normally work eratically all over the portrait to avoid boredom but will try to progress in a more orderly manner to make it easier to follow along. Please feel free to jump in at any time to share your comments, tips, or suggestions. And...if you notice a major error developing, please don't hesitate to shout :)

Wish me luck,
daisie

Hi Daisie thanks for doing a wip mate. Feel free to be radical and work all over the place just as you normally would. You would be amazed what people could learn from you doing that. Also the left eye is slightly smaller than the right eye. Other than that coming along well mate. Good luck although I feel you won't need that =D

Thank you, Rose. You always have a very keen eye. Looking at it now, I notice that the R side eye ie her L eye seems a bit lower than the other. Do you see it, too? Could be the tilt in the scan but I'll have to double check that.
Bye for now:)

Hi Daisie no worries mate happy to help. I do see that the eye is slightly lower. Only a fraction though. But do check the original as it could be how the child is although that would be odd as our features normally would mirror the opposite side.

I think doing a wip will be good for you Daisie. I get the feeling those errors you were saying you don't normally see along the way are going to become more clear to you and hopefully help you to see them in feature before the end.

Hi everyone,

Here is the latest update. Are the eyes ok here? After uploading, I can see the chin needs fixing. Please leave me your comments and suggestions:)

Thanks,

Hi Daisie big improvement on the eyes mate. I agree about the chin does need working. Also the outline of his face is very distinct how it is right now. This could be that your not finished on this section yet, but if that section is complete you would need to blend it in a little more to lose that very clear white line around his face.

I am loving every second of watching this one come together Daisie thank you mate. By the way he is looking great.

Thanks, Rose. I'm leaving the side of the face bare for now just in case like the last drawing I need to change the shape of the face. It's neat to draw attentively instead of mindlessly. You're the best, Rose:) daisie

Hi Daisie I had a feeling you had something going with the outline of the face. Thats an excellent idea. I'm glad your enjoying this process mate. It sure makes it quiet different when working with direction like this. Mind you aimless is also good sometime.
