Starring
Amanda Seyfried as Eileen Camilla Quinn

__in dreams we enter a world that's entirely our own

Name: Eileen Camilla Quinn
Nicknames: Ellie
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Year: Fifth
Birthday: May 9th, 1960
House: (canons only)
Wand: Her wand is exactly ten inches, redwood, and it's core is unicorn hair.
Blood Status: Halfblood, due to her Grandfather on her mother's side.

__time is making fools of us again

Hair: Her hair falls in bold blonde waves to her chest, almost emitting a heavenly glow.
Eyes: Her eyes are as clear as water, the blue sometimes feeling deep like the ocean. Her emotions can easily be read here, which is why they can appear to be vacant often if not looked into deep enough.
Height: She stands at a respectable 5'7
Weight: 130 lbs.
Build: Eileen is very thin, though she has very strong arms from playing Quidditch with her father, and in the past year she‘s started to fill out.
Distinguishing Features: Eileen’s eyes are very vibrant and very telling, if you know how to read a person’s eyes. Also, her hair has a life of it’s own, it’s extremely wavy and there isn’t much Eileen can do to tame it.
Personal Style: Eileen likes to dress very simply, as clothes aren’t really something that’s important to her. She wears what is comfortable, not really wanting to wear anything that will enhance her body and face in a way to make her appear more beautiful. Likewise, she doesn’t really wear make-up all that much either. She plays herself down as much as she can. The only amount of luxery to her body that she really allows, besides hygienic necessities, Eileen usually wears her favorite mint perfume, because the smell just makes her smile.

Overall Appearance:

Despite the fact that she plays herself down, Eileen is a very pretty girl. Her face is wide, with large features that take over most of her face. Her eyes are open and wide, and basically centered on her face while her nose anchors them, in it’s own proportionate size. Her lips are very lush and full, perfect for deep red lipstick (so it’s rather sad, in a way, that she’d never wear that).

Since Eileen never really uses any make-up, her skin is extremely clear, since the pores never usually get clogged with anything. Her light skin is spotted with a freckle only here and there and her cheeks can get easily flushed, since she’s a blondie.

Speaking of her hair, it’s safe to say that that mess on her head usually appears to be barely brushed (even though she actually does try to) and is what makes it easy for her friends to spot her in the halls. That, and the fact that she moves in her own way, a graceful bounce in her step on good days, and a dragging trudge on bad ones. Sometimes you can find her falling somewhere in between, with a bit of a bounce, and a slow dragging to her.

Thankfully Eileen is lucky that all of her arms and legs are proportionate to her body, so she isn’t really all that clumsy. If she ever is, it’s safe to say that something is probably upsetting her, as she usually has more control over herself.

__the mind is a complex and many-layered thing

Likes:
-flying on a broom, it reminds her of the good times with her father and is a good escape.
    -plants, flowers mostly
-the occasional firewhiskey...or perhaps a few. They are calming, the loosen her up, and they make any memories of the past rather murky.
-the nighttime, before she goes to bed. It’s comfortable.
    -learning something new and interesting
    -her cat, Alexander.
    -poetry
    -gathering in large groups
-the rain, especially when it’s raining heavily and you can here it hitting the castle.
    -all types of music
Dislikes:
    -dressing up
    -being forced to do something
-required school reading, although she does it, always
    -getting angry
    -talking about herself
    -cold coffee
-wearing a lot of jewelry, it makes her feel too pretty.
-her cat roaming the castle, because she worries about Alexander getting into trouble
    -disrespectful people
Best Traits:
    -gentle
    -nurturing
    -protective
    -extremely loyal
    -fun loving
Worst Traits:
    -judgmental
-a bit on the sloppy side when it comes to certain things
-losing her temper (over big things, not little)
-her ideology that beauty is a bad thing, that if your are beautiful, there must be something wrong with you, some how. This is why she tends to play herself down.
    -can be very quiet
Strengths:
-Care of Magical Creatures class and Herbology class, she really has a knack for caring for animals and tending to plants. It probably comes from the nurturing side of her.
-riding a broom, courtesy of her father.
    -she’s a very good listener.
-her speaking voice. It’s an actor’s voice, really, (thanks to her mother) and it can command the attention of a room, even though she usually speaks in quieter tones.
Weaknesses:
-her insomnia, it makes her unable to get over what she wants to let go of, and is extremely draining.
-arithmacy class...she took it last year and did horrible, despite the fact that she tried hard. Numbers are not her friend.
-beautiful people, even though they make her feel uneasy, she can’t help it.
-her father, even though they aren’t as close as they used to be, she’s still a daddy’s girl.
-she can be easily guilted into a lot of things
Fears:
    -veelas:
-being too beautiful, looking too nice, etc:
    -sex
    -Edmund turning up again
Gets along with:

Eileen can get along with most anybody, the more there, the better. The more friends she has, the more loved she feels, probably because of her lack of them when she was a little girl. But Eileen has very few close friends, and none of them are men (slight trust issues, you see) as she likes to keep people at an arms distance, not really wanting people to know her inside and out, because she doesn’t want to share her unfortunate past, her fears. But Eileen will have no patience for you if you are anything but kind or trustworthy, as she just doesn’t have room for it.

Overall Personality: at least four GOOD paragraphs)

On the surface: If you don’t know Eileen very well, which many people don’t, you see her as just another typical girl. She has a lot of friends, loving to surround herself with people who are fun and just nice. Outside of her circle of friends she can appear to be very quiet and distant, if not unapproachable. Really, to the outside world there doesn’t seem to be anything all that interesting about her, she seems like a normal girl, with normal grades who you might see every once in a while at Hogwarts party.

Underneath the skin: At the core of her, Eileen is intensely kind and caring, her main care being for others. But, this doesn’t mean she’s comfortable with people, not at all. In fact, because of what happened to her when she was a child, she’s extremely uncomfortable a lot of the time. Unless she trusts you, or she initiates it first, Eileen flinches away from contact. It startles her system, most simple touches now tainted from evenings with Edmund. It’s this fact, primarily, that’s kept her from ever having a boyfriend. That, and the fact that she has major trust issues with men, as in, they barely exist. Even the trust she had with her father isn’t quite as strong, thanks to his friend.

So if you want to get to know her, really know her, it requires patience, especially if you happen to be of the opposite sex. She won’t just through herself over into any relationship, even a serious friendship. She has to know you, know that you are genuine and kind and that you won’t turn your back on her, because that is another issue she has, abandonment. But if you are able to get past all of her barriers, all of her fears, you find a great girl, a great loyal friend. Really, probably the loyalist. She adores to have fun, any sort of way. And to talk on long ends about any sort of matter, but especially poetry, because she finds it to be astounding. She loves anything any other fifteen year old girl does, she just isn’t quite as comfortable letting anyone in to enjoy it with her.

Don’t get me wrong, though, she isn’t perfectly kind all of the time. She can have a temper, especially if you happen to be the type of person she doesn’t like one bit, which is the snotty jerk type. And if provoked, she will defend herself, and her friends, if they are involved. Even those she isn’t as close to, because she can’t stand seeing anyone hurt. Another way that she isn’t at all perfect is that she has a small problem with a certain race of people, and that would be with veelas. She finds their good looks to be appalling because of the fact that they are meant to lure you in, to do harm to you. She sees them as evil, cruel. Basically she sees them as Edmund, the beautiful dark angel, too beautiful for the eyes of a nine year old, a nine year old too naive to see how evil he truly was. So, sure, her major dislike, fear rather, can be seen as justified, but not when she takes it to the level that she does. Which is completely inappropriate for someone who sides so far on that of all that is good and kind. In this respect, she needs to take a good hard look at herself because she sees them as so much less than what they could be. Ironically, this close-mindedness is something she finds very undesirable in others.

What she wishes she was: Eileen often wonders what she would be like if she hadn’t had to grow up so fast. She wonders what she would have been like if her parents were around more, if they let her have friends her age, if she’d never met Edmund. And part of her is rather sure that she would be happier, and probably not so quiet. But when she thinks about it, she realizes that she doesn’t even know who that girl is, not one bit. And so she doesn’t wish to be her, doesn’t wish all of those things away, but only wishes that she could be able to know what it was like, because then maybe she could work on who she actually was, and it would be easier. Eileen often lets her mind wander into these “what ifs?”, but she doesn’t usually stay in them long, because she knows that if she were that other girl, she wouldn’t appreciate all she had quite as much, she wouldn’t be quite as strong, able to handle the hard parts of life, like she can.

Eileen simply wishes she could get over her past so she can be better prepared for her future, because frankly, she tired of it always being on the back of her mind. She’s ready to move on, she just doesn’t know how.

__it does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live

Boggart: ending up alone because of her fears
Patronus: A chinchilla, rather skittish like her, and friendly.
Mirror of Erised: To be completely happy.
Amortentia:
    Firewhiskey
    Rain
    Warm wool blankets
__where your treasure is, there will your heart be also

Alliegance: Although her family is neutral, Eileen finds herself siding with the Order, though it isn't anything she's involved in, she doesn't really talk about it to anyone.
Mother: Aubergine Quinn; 38
Mother's Occupation: Wizarding stage actress
Father: Simon Quinn; 40
Father's Occupation: Formerly (1957-1968) a Chaser for the most successful team in history, the Montrose Magpies, and now works in the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
Siblings: None...though her parents, at the urgency of her father, of course, are still trying to have a boy to carry on the family name, not wanting the Quinn's to die out. Eileen finds it to be somewhat pathetic.
Other Relatives: A slew of other relatives that she can't really keep track of, since all the pureblood families are connected in some way or another. Her mother has many sisters and brothers, so she has tons of cousins on that side. But her father is the only male from his side, with two sisters who each have a pair of twins. Both sets of her grandparents are deceased.
Pets: Her tabby cat, Alexander

History:

The year was 1958 and the Montrose Magpies were about to win their second European Championship. Simon Quinn zoomed around the arena as he watched his best friend and Captain, Hamish MacFarlan, catch the snitch, winning them their rightful title. The moment was filled with a slur of smiles and well wishes as they all landed, swiftly thrusting the cup into the air, for all the fans to see. But Simon has quickly been distracted, which was a feat not many could achieve. On the plush grass of the Quidditch pitch was a most beautiful creature, and he knew her name with just a glance. Aubergine McDaniel, a blonde beauty who graced the London stages with grace almost unknown to the young chaser, and he was instantly hooked. It was safe to say that the well deserved partying that night was also intermixed with sweet beginnings of a life that Simon had only ever dreamed of.

Within a year the couple was a hot topic in Witch Weekly and many other wizarding magazines, and people simply couldn’t get enough of them. They were clearly so in love. And that point was proven when the pair married, a simple, quiet ceremony with a few friends and family, perfect for them when their lives were already so hectic, filled with too many people, from day to day.

Mark a year from then, 1960, and the young couple, he twenty-five and her only twenty-three, had their one and only child, a small girl that they named (after both of their grandmothers) Eileen Camilla Quinn. She was a constant bundle of joy, quickly becoming the center of their world. Though at times their jobs made it hard, her spending many nights at rehearsals and shows, and he spending most days at practice, they made it work, some how.

The early years floated by almost like a dream, Eileen’s parents striving to provide her with all they could, everything they thought she could ever need. They certainly had enough money, what with Simon’s Quidditch career and Aubergine’s acting, not to mention any money that came with the family name. But Simon wasn’t around nearly as much as he liked, and so in 1968 in retired from the sport, figuring the team wouldn’t be quite the same without his best friend anyway, as Hamish was leaving as well.

With her father home, Eileen now found herself with much more attention, which she enjoyed. It was a treat to have her father home most nights. He was her buddy, her friend, and she was thrilled with any sort of attention she got from him. He even started to teach her to ride a broom, which he’d never had time to before. For Eileen, in a very short time home life had gone from being boring, to incredibly fun. This new way of life only lasted for a year or so, though, as Simon began to find himself being bored, stuck at home with only a nine year old all day, despite the fact that it had it’s charming moments. He felt useless. So he took up a job under Hamish (as he was the Head) at the Department of Magical Games and Sports.

The loss of her father to the nine to five work day deeply wounded little Ellie, even though she never let it show. Eileen never would admit that she was bored at home alone, her only company her dolls or the occasional visitors during one of her parent’s many parties. In fact, it was at the functions that Eileen thrived, vying for the attention of her mother’s many co-stars or her father’s ex-teammates. They made her feel less lonely for the few hours they were at her house. It was a sad fact that her parents never thought about the fact that she might need some play dates every one in a while, that her parents never asked their friends to bring along their kids to the parties. She hardly ever saw anyone her own age, constantly being around those decades older than her, it aged her in a way that wasn’t fair at all.

It was at one of these parties that it first happened. One of her parent’s friends, Ellie couldn’t be sure at that age if they were an actor or an athlete, she wasn’t quite as perceptive yet, started spending more time with her. She’d met him before, wandering the one of her parent’s get-togethers, she’d tripped and he’d righted her to her feet. Which was why Ellie had automatically trusted the beautiful young man, Edmund. As the parties progressed he’d appear at her bedroom door before she could even make it down to visit with the others. Things started innocent enough, he’d play dolls with her, he’d brush the hair out of her eyes. In fact, it was safe to say that Edmund was to so kind to her, so affectionate, that Eileen had earned her first crush. Except with her, it was innocent, sweet. She was young, not even understandings the workings of relationships, of sex. So when he asked her if he could touch her, she didn’t understand. She was only nine. A touch was a touch, a hug, a brush of the cheek. She hadn’t been prepared for what this beautiful monster had really had in mind.

The molestation continued off and on for a year, no one finding out because Eileen didn’t understand that it was something to tell. Edmund told her it was normal. That it was what people did, what she should do. But she didn’t like it, not one bit. But for fear of her parents being mad at her for saying anything bad about their friend, she kept quiet. And it continued, getting worse and worse, almost to the point where he became violent. Eileen hated what she saw in him now, what had turned. She saw his beautiful face and what was a childish little girl’s crush was now simply fear.

By the time Eileen had gotten her Hogwarts letter, Edmund had been gone for maybe six months, his job taking him far, far away from his little obsession. In those six months the change in Ellie was evident, from her now silent behavior right down to the dark circles that were usually found under her eyes. Her parents felt helpless, not knowing what was wrong, but soon coming to the wrong conclusion that it had something to do with puberty. But it was the fact that Eileen’s pure innocence had been stripped away from her, leaving her only with fears and confusion.

Eileen’s first four years at Hogwarts went by quietly and without much event. She had friends, yes, but she wasn’t particularly close to anyone save a few people. She maintains a steady flow of decent grades and tries to keep herself out of attentions way, not wanting to attract much attention.
