So I downloaded theses new icons and usually self install themselfs but no theses came raw there like heres your icons go play in traffic so now I have all these icons and dunno how to put them so my question is how do you put icons in do I need a program or something?

icons like, to replace the little folder icon?

you right click the folder, properties, customise, change icon, browse, find your icon (any image that's labelled .ico). that's it.

but if you move the icon anywhere it stops working and you have to do it again

Are you sure there not a eaiser way I mean I have over 2k of icons here and I want to tranform almost all my icons not just the destop

like, to change my computer, internet explorer, recycle bin, my documents and my network places right click the desktop, properties, desktop, customize my desktop.

for shortcuts right click, properties and select change icon.

you can only do it one at a time.
