Tracyn grunted lightly as Altair's weight lowered onto her shoulder, and with one easy movement she helped the shifter up onto his feet. As heavy as he was the weight was nothing to the mandalorian, and with a nod of her head at Altair's request the woman started slowly walking away from the area. As she moved she of course noticed the movement of the Legacy, which sent cold chills of adrenaline flowing through her body. Biting her lower lip the woman turned her head slightly to look at Altair from the corner of her eye, and she noted the irritable way he looked at her as if he had noticed that she was treating him like a princess to be rescued. Well get over it pretty boy Tracyn was rescuing you and at least she wasn't calling you Princess Altair out loud! Because she could if she wanted to you know.

"Is that one yours?" She asked in a low voice, her eyes flicking over toward the Legacy whom seemed to be following them. Tracyn hoped that the creature was his as she really wasn't in the kind of position to deal with a wild requiae right now. On the other side of Altair the glimpse of Aranel drew Tracyn's attention as the elvan shifter helped to guide the injured Altair away from the requiae and Tracyn nodded her head in the woman's direction. Maybe it wasn't so bad, sharing the duty of saving Altair that is. After all he was heavy and the uneven weight over her shoulders only reminded her of how out of shape she was!

Tracyn made a mental note to herself that if she made it out of here alive she would put herself through a fitness regime to get back to peak physical condition again. No more sissy pants wandering for her!

OOC Sorry it's short I was pressed for time the last couple of days and I have to get myself moving for my field trip today.

Emryn continued to watch as more showed up to aid the wounded Altair in front of him. He was thinking about making himself known and come out from behind his tree when the emotion that Abyzou sent out him it like a rock. With all of the bustling about with the arriving chicks and ever moving humanoids Emryn wasn’t quite sure what his envy was focused on, and then he found the source. Samiel. He was talking to that pretty Cassanova. Why should HE be the one doing that? Nope, Emryn should be the one talking to the pretty lady, even if Samiel had just potentially saved her from the Allure.

He walked briskly out of the brush and over towards Samiel. He gave a small bow towards Cassanova and then turned back towards the Halfling. “No need for you to be here anymore, I can keep the woman company myself… And then the feeling suddenly dislodged from him. Envy was no longer wrecking havoc through his veins, Abyzou must have lost interest in him it had seemed when he hadn’t responded immediately to her jet of emotions. Taken aback the Prince stood there a moment staring back and forth between Samiel and Cassanova. What had he been saying?

“Dear me I have no idea what came over me… what did I just say? Never mind… What on Planet is going on here? These Requiae are appearing out of nowhere it seems…” He was more talking to himself now than the other two as he looked about, his eyes setting on Kythen as the Spectre and Remnant headed straight for him. The skeleton wanted to say watch out or SOMETHING but he just couldn’t seem to conjure the words in time it would seem, hopefully it wouldn’t end as nasty as it appeared it would.

Kythen would have been quite happy to just turn around and walk away. Altair had plenty of other people around to help him. But there was that small matter of the Allure on his shoulder and the Remnant, Phantom and Lament in the trees. They weren't about to let him leave. "Please don't encourage them Maeko." He told the vampire, though his glare was the the Remnant the cackled at the dark woman's words. Don't you worry Mistress, he'd keep the wolf shifter right where he was. These hatchlings would have fun with him, oh yes.

And speaking of fun, the Remnant watched the interactions between Samiel, Cassanova and Emryn before giving a sharp cry and taking to the air. Ketsukei and Tahlthi followed suit and the trio dove toward the half-sphinx and skeleton, wingblades flashing and talons ready to do as much harm as possible. Though Cassanova wasn't their bond she was included under the heading of 'theirs' as, in the eyes of the Requiae, anything that belonged to Kythen belonged to them as well. And there were not about to allow some strangers to go picking on her like that. Oh no. Baal and Ketsukei gave a screech and dove at Samiel, talons seeking his eyes and wingblades slicing at any bit of flesh they could connect with. If the half-shinx didn't find some way to drive the two lords (particularly Ketsukei who thrived on causing pain and misery) off he would be in serious need of some sort of medical attention rather quickly. Baal was unforgiving and not about to let up anytime soon and Ketsukei was quite enjoying feeding off of the man's pain.

As for Emryn, he would find himself accosted by Tahlthi. The Lament wasn't as keen on causing damage as the larger lords and really....how much damage could she do to a skeleton? Wasn't he already dead? But that didn't stop her from trying, swooping in and pecking at him or slicing at his exposed bones with wingblade and talon to try and drive him away from her bond's mate. Emryn ought to consider himself lucky it was just that one little Lament and not one of the lords. Baal or Ketsukei would find a way to make the skeleton bleed. She'd be quite content with driving him away and making sure he stayed away.

Kythen, meanwhile, was prevented from interfering by Eira who, if Baal and the other hadn't interfered, probably would have made Kythen act out. This worked just as nicely since she could feel that Kythen had wanted to do something himself. In the end, everyone was pleased. At least until the Albino Allure suddenly found herself without a perch as Kythen threw himself sideways to avoid the two young Requiae lords that were heading his way. This left poor Eira in their direct line of flight and the two collided with her in a mass of whirling blades and talons. The older Allure lashed out with blades and talons, snapping at the pair with her dangerously curved beak. That'd teach them to go flying about without watching where they were going.

Well, hell.

Just what he bloody needed.

The Grim on his arm had chosen to leave his side quickly enough, taking rest on topmost of the tree to watch the chaos going on, but Grimm harly paid her any attention. No, instead he was a tad distracted by everything else; it would figure that a pair of Requiae would lead him to a bonding of them all. Just what he wanted, another soul-sucker attaching himself to him. The headaches from his queen were bad enough. But that wasn't here or there -- there would be injuries, he knew that much, and while he couldn't treat the tearing of one's mind, he could treat the blood that would doubtlessly be shed.

And at least the girls were getting Altair away from the center of the chaos. At the moment, the shifter was going to be his first patient. Once, you know, he had time to sit down and treat anyone. "If he starts having trouble breathing, you call me!" He warned out to them, even as the eggs started hatching. Cracked ribs were bad, but a punctured lung was worse, and he wasn't sure what the hell he'd do if it came to that. But he'd worry about it then, if it happened, not now.

"You okay?" The doctor shouted towards Kythen as he spotted the two young lords rushing at him. He seemed to have gotten out of the way, an older Requiae seeming caught in the middle instead, but that didn't stop Grimm from heading over there to make sure. The last thing they needed was more injuries, but he had no doubt there were going to me more before the evening was done. He'd just focus on the people closest to him and go from there.

The fact that Maeko was so disappointed with Altair demanding everyone leave sort of disturbed the man. If only slightly. He was more concerned with the sounds of more eggs hatching all around them, and he really didn't want anyone he cared about to stay behind. Unless they were loony and actually wanted more of those things. Maybe the little on in a nest behind the Vampire felt this... Or maybe he just wanted out. Either way, there was another sharp crack as another Lord joined the fray; the Hell's Reverie Phantom to be precise. He glared out at everyone around him with a piercing, cold gaze. The soft noise that only comes from metal brushing against metal could be heard as he readjusted his wings, beak parted slightly in the avian version of a scowl. Go ahead and try to talk to him. He dares you. The Legacy who'd been perched near Teeka was mildly relieved when the Xenomorph moved closer to Maeko, only clicking his beak sharply at her for being near him at all. He couldn't just sit there, now could he? But he reeeeally didn't want to go out there, pinions glinting, like his brothers... What's a guy to do? Well, being hidden and sitting here quietly wasn't going to do much for him... So instead of waiting for something to come to him, he'd go to the something. 8D Testing the emotions in the air, he found a decent one he liked over there with that Aranel girl. That certainly made up his mind well enough. He took to the air with a sort of strangled screech, dead set on flying to that Elven woman... When something bigger than him and white got in the way. In his panic, the young male lashed out at the blind, older Legacy, positively flailing as he tried to wing backwards. He didn't mean to do it!Altair was very much grateful for the two women helping him along, though he was unwilling to put his entire weight on either girl. He was a man, so therefore he was heavy. ...His role player's logic is going to be twisted for a while, so please forgive her. ANYway... The Elven Shifter probably wouldn't have noticed his Legacy creeping closer if Tracyn hadn't asked about him. He lifted his head a bit, crimson eyes flickering about curiously until his gaze landed on Dantalion, who gave him a soft cry when their eyes met. "That Legacy right there? Yeah, he's mine... Them too." He replied, pointing out his Lament who was flying overhead and Abyzou, who was still trying to get Samiel to reply to her. Stupid humanoids... DX Why won't you react?! But wait... What was this? The Allure turned her attention back on the male she'd been toying with earlier, and with a wicked cackle, sent more envy his way. Poor Emryn would never know what hit him. Again. ;3Don't you dare begin to think that the rest of the young ones would allow their Phantom brother to take all the glory. From the nest somewhere near Grimm, the two eggs settled there would begin to writhe, smacking against each other until the young ones made decent sized cracks in their shells. The slightly paler egg to the right managed to shove against it's sibling hard enough to knock the darker egg out of the nest, where it smashed to the ground to reveal the Whips And Chains Legacy. He looked more than just a little dazed, and didn't seem quite ready to move from his spot. However, the other egg chose to split apart during the moment of impact, and the pretty little Ice Queen's Melody Lament made her appearance. After preening a feather back in place, she surveyed the area and screeched, all but diving for the good Doctor, who was only trying to see if the poor Wolf Shifter was alright.Speaking of Kythen, it was a good thing he managed to dive out of the way in time. The bickering siblings continued to lash out at each other, seemingly intent on doing each other some decent harm when they ran into the pretty little Allure named Eira. For such a dainty looking thing, she could really do damage when she wanted to, so when she started attacking them both back, the males screeched and flew in different directions. Like hell they were going to sit around and let her attack them! DX Ya old bat! The Remnant veered off and instead started towards poor Teeka. Well... She seemed like she'd be okay to perch on. Without so much as a greeting, the Lord promptly attempted to land on the woman's shoulder, his talons possibly cutting into her as he tried to keep his balance. Ohai. You're going to be his perch for a while, okay? His Spectre brother wasn't going to be as...kind though. He locked onto a target and started flying above her, sending Aranel grainy images of every bad thing he could possibly come up with. Altair bleeding out, her shinies eating each other, her being pregnant and miscarrying... Y'know... The usual. ;3Oh, and the Wolf Shifter wouldn't get away unscathed. When he rolled, he rolled into a tree. This particular tree held a nest of three eggs, but luckily for Kythen, he only managed to knock one out. Which fell from the nest and landed with an almighty thud on the poor man's head. D8 Which, apparently, made the babe inside decide that it was time to come out. The shell cracked, and left standing on the Wolf's head was the Cancerous Amour Allure, who didn't really feel like doing much besides nestling down in the blond, now messy hair that the man had. This is her nest now. You can't have it back.(OOC: x_x I'm SO sorry this took so long! If I missed you, kick me. Anyway... Post quickly, because my next post will be in Two days. I managed to wake up my muse and intend to keep it alive, kaythnxbai.)

Things were already becoming a mess. Altair was still pushing for everyone's escape, Maeko was being bat-poop insane (...AHAHA... pun. *shot*) and those hatchlings were out for blood. Sam quickly pulled himself off of Cassanova, helping her back up as Emryn had his sudden spout of jealousy. Sam stood there, eyebrow arched in a confused manner as Emryn's mood shifted inexplicably.

"Well, I believe we are all on edge..." the half-sphinx muttered, dusting himself off. "Are you okay, m'lady-" his voice cut off as Abyzou infiltrated his emotions. Oh, envy: one of those things Sam normally bottles up. The extra dose didn't do the knight any favors, his face twisted into a snarl and hands clenched into tight fists. No, h couldn't just forgive the Prince this easily. "Damned royalty," he growled, turning his head and gaze to the skeleton. "As if you deserve everything with no effort whatsoever... As if you know anything of difficulty or struggle!" His voice raised in peaks, eyes flashing with animosity for Emryn. Oh yes, it didn't take Sam five seconds to know who he was jealous of. A lifetime of servitude will do that to ya.

He cracked his fists, stepping to Prince Jakopii with a twisted grin. "Even dead you act as if you own everything. Allow me to take you down a few pegs, my liege-!" And he swung as mighty a punch as could be mustered at his bony target. If only it had connected, a bone or two would fly off into the trees;

But there was a problem.

Two of them.

Baal and Ketsukei were keen on the half-ling, both cutting across the warrior's arm and shoulder with their pinions. Samiel jumped back in rage, mixed well with confusion as the terrible feeling of envy ebbed away. Were the lords trying to snap him out of it? If their pursuit was any clue - no. The two kept on Sam's figure in a terrible way, Ketsukei making good use of his azure pinions and Baal patiently waiting for his opportunity t gouge an eye. Sam flailed his arms at both of them, having a hard time trying to cover his face when there were -two- attackers hot on him. "Unholy light, get these- AUGH!!"

Sam fell to his knees, clutching his face with a pained look written under all of the blood. Partridge shrieked, diving from her perch hot on the two lords - more specifically Baal. Yes, the two may have had rank, but with their small stature and her overgrown ego, at least chasing them into the trees and away from her bond could be managed. Slashes, cuts, stabbings were fine - but eye gouging was not so. The Allure made this point very clear with her screeches.

Yes, there was more hate seething from Sam now. Plenty for the hatchlings to feed on. But I'll be damned if Sam didn't intend to pluck every last one of them now. D<

(XD Fun times. Love you all~ <3 Even if the post is full of hate.)

The movement all around her was a bit much for Teeka to follow, especially since Requaie were, for some reason, hard for her to detect with all her senses. She could hear them well enough, but they gave her little in the senses of heat and mass. The time they registered most strongly to her when they were moving, which in this situation meant that multiple birds seemed to be appearing out of nowhere as far as she was concerned.

It was kind of exciting, though with so many hungry young Requiae around the feeling of apprehension she possessed earlier started to return ever so slightly. She had a large enough flock of them at her home for her to know what large groups of the birds could to to a person. Odds were that it wouldn't be so bad with so many people around, but there was always the chance that one or two of them might get singled out as being especially worth investigating.

She didn't have long to dwell on this worry though, for something large swooped down behind her and landed heavily on one of her shoulder spines. A small sound of surprise turned to one of joy when she realized that the thing that had landed on her was one of the hatchlings. Of course she had no way of knowing the rank of the chick that was now using her as a perch. Uncertain of what to do she kept very still, feeling the Remnant's claws scrape against her armored exoskeleton.

So far this Bonding was turning out far better than she had expected, but it seemed like most of the people there did not feel the same way. For the first time she became aware of how Samiel seemed intent on starting the fight that she had dreaded this Bonding would end up being. She would have rushed over to put a stop to it, but with the Remnant on her shoulder spine there was little she could do. As little as she wanted there to be a fight, she also had no desire to do anything that might frighten the Requaie hatchlings, which likely would only make matters far worse.

Then again, she did use telepathy to communicate, so if she were to shout she could probably direct it if she was careful. it was a skill she had honed when dealing with her Shinies, and though she had only tried it with them now seemed as good a time as any to try and apply it to a new situation.

Hey you two! she called out to Samiel and Jakopii, everyone else could hear her as well, but it to them it was a more hushed tone, easily ignorable. To its intended targets it registered as a shout, Break it up now or I'll have to come over there!

In her 'dealing with difficult Shinies' mindset, she failed to realize that her statement coupled with her appearance likely came across as quite the threat.

((OOC: For those who might not already know it, that thing in my avatar pic is me. Think about encountering that in a situation like this, heh.))

Well, needless to say, Grimm never really got a chance to move over to Kythen. He heard the crunch of an egg fall, which was enough to make him hesitate. The hatchlings were strong, at least, but that didn't mean they couldn't be hurt so early in their lives. And it only took a moment for him to spot the hatched Legacy that was on the ground. And sure, perhaps fussing over any of these demon-birds were a bad idea, but damnit, he was a doctor, and that meant he felt responsible for even these bastards. "Are you..."

Not that the Lament gave him much of a chance to finish that question. Grimm cursed as she threw herself at him, but he looked far more unimpressed then scared. He sidestepped her, and shot her a look. "Listen, you little bitch. Try that again and I might just grab you out of the air." That was indeed a promise, not a threat. And really, when any damange those wings would do to him would heal seconds after blood was spilled, well, why wouldn't he? Muttering to himself about this entire mess, the doctor moved over to where the Legacy was sitting, and dropped to a knee near the chick.

"Are you okay, kid?" Grimm drawled out, eyeing the wings. His own Legacy had gotten a broken wing that had never fully healed, and he really didn't want to see that happening to another. Even if they were sadistic little demonbirds.

Why hadn't Saiph arrived by now, guns a'blazing, ready to extract his friend from harm's way? He was slightly...occupied. Right. Occupied.

As it turned out, the list of things that made his self-healing-powers was growing every day. Sometimes it changed; sometimes the same thing sent it on the fritz for days. Tonight? He had run across Creed and Istau on his way out to the market, but now...well, that was a problem. A big fat problem. Even though they hadn't meant to, their casual parasitic intent had somehow weakened the half-Vulcan's defenses without him knowing. Now, being taunted by a dozen-foot-long giant hulking creature who he really couldn't see in the jungle, Saiph really kind of needed that healing ability.

Wheeeen the moon hits your eye! Like a big-a Pizza pie! Thaaat's amore.

The hulking shadow crooned as he slunk along after the stumbling-along half-Vulcan, eyes whirring a muddy red-green of mingled good cheer and malicious intent. When you walk in a dream...but you know you're not dreaming, signooooreeee! A mad cackle, and Saiph scrambled, falling backwards over a giant log -- a broken-off limb of which managed to tear a decent-sized gash in his shoulder. Hollering out in anger and pain, Saiph leapt back to his feet and slapped a hand over his shoulder, growling vaguely at what he knew was a sluggish flow of emerald blood. "Damnit! What did I do to you? Go away!" He snarled, wishing that he could reach out and find one of his bondeds, any who were capable of scaring the massive demon-thing away before he got himself killed.

Alas, his telepathy was on the fritz, too. Murphy's law, you know?

So, it was not surprising to anybody who knew ole' Murphy that things only got worse from that point. Still gripping his shoulder fiercely, the lad stumbled on, ignoring the sing-song Tippy-tippy-tay! Like a gay tarantella! coming from somewhere within a few yards of him. The jungle was dark, here, dark and...well, scary. He was unashamed to admit that.

He would, however, later be ashamed at how he arrived at the Requia-fray. Chased by an unseen tormentor, the lad screamed bloody murder when it finally decided to show itself and leapt down from above. Only after biting the shit out of what might have been the tail of the creature pinning him did he get free; only to crash into the party and run headlong into a tree. Whereupon he took the opportunity to pass out and bleed on the ground. Because honestly, that was the most useful thing he could do just then. Thankfully, his tormentor apparently decided that the crowd of people was too much, since it didn't follow Saiph.

From the frying pan and into the fire, as it were.

[I'm sorry, I couldn't think of anything ELSE to do. >.> <.<]

He stared at Kythen before Samiel started speaking to him and not in a very nice way. Deserve with no effort? What was this person talking about? Emryn stared at Samiel, his mouth partially open from the shock of what he was saying. And dead? “Who are you calling dead?? I am perfectly alive..just rather boney at the moment…” If his eyes could widen any further they would have as the humanoid in front of him would up for a punch. YIKES! What had he gotten himself into?!

Abyzou’s envy had then all of a sudden hit him too. Nooo! Not this again! The skeleton did his best to keep his mandible shut but it wasn’t going to last long. While Emryn struggled with himself it was then that Samiel had been attacked, and he couldn’t help but be jealous. “What is so special about YOU?! I mean really…let’s be honest here, I should be the one being attacked!” He almost yelled.

Well if someone hadn’t noticed the skeleton in the clearing, they most likely would have no as the man of bones paced around Samiel yelling gibberish as he was attacked, complaining about not being attacked himself. Honestly it made no sense…especially to the person writing this but I guess that is what happens when one is influenced by such a powerful emotion?

Then he heard the anger. Teeka's telepathic message for them to knock it off surprised the prince mid sentence. His eyes looked around for what exactly had spoken and then his eyes rested on Teeka. Oh boy, he didn't want to piss off her! The urge inside of him was welling up to start yelling again or maybe even tackle Samiel, but Teeka's glare and her threat were scarier than that urge. So he stood there, frozen pretty much and not really sure what to do...

The knowledge that the legacy belonged to Altair made things both better and worse, after all she now knew that the Requiae wasn't interested in her. Problem was she was now sure it was watched her to see if she would hurt Altair, and she was sure that the Requiae would tear her to shreds if she tried anything funny ... it was probably a good thing that she was wearing her beskar'gam. Adjusting the weight on her shoulder the mandalorian quickened the pace, she wanted to get the injured man out of the danger zone as soon as she could. Then and only then would she be able to gloat in his face that she had saved him, that women where indeed as strong as men, and well just be plain annoying in the face of danger.

It had been awhile since she had been able to do anything like that! Poor thing needed her daily intake of gloating and supremacy. Grinning manically the woman cast a glance over her shoulder and picked out the forms of newly hatched Requiae in the area. The sight only gave her more cause to keep up with the pace, and it no longer mattered if she hurt the poor delicate Altair or not ... the guy would get over his injuries even if he was in pain for awhile.

It was better then being dead, which was what they would be if the hatchlings decided to approach them.

"Good idea, Teeka. Stop them."

A fight breaking out? The vampire could feel the emotions- more in the sense of blood rushing around and heartbeats, but she knew what they were and licked her lips. Not that anyone would have seen the pink tongue slid out and quickly disappear other than the Requiae, but it happened. Lilith screeched proudly to her offspring, pleased with the way they were acting. No requests from Kythen were going to stop HER from encouraging the hatchlings from raising hell.

An egg cracked near by and she whipped around in a heartbeat, eyes scanning the area to locate the Phantom above all else. Her own eyes were slipping fast to crimson, and as she looked at the bird Lilith invited him forward with a gentle croon and a spread of her ruby wings. "Come along now. I've got some trouble for you." She began, nodding off towards Samiel and the others. No one said she had to be behave.

Well, maybe she did.

But that didn't mean she couldn't engage in hunting behavior with the Requiae.

"You must be starved." She began, the great Grim on her shoulder watching intently. It would be unwise to attack the woman that the queen had claimed for her own, and the deadly wings of the Remnant just above would not be pleasant to mess with, either.

As the brothers took off to go their separate ways, that left Eira standing on the ground with her wings outstretched, wingblades glistening faintly with red, and looking decidedly unhappy (kinda like this bird). With an irritable slice of her wingblades and the chilling sound of metal scraping against metal (not that one more would be noticed above all the rest) the Albino Allure launched herself back into the air and circled above the chaos, seeking someone to take her anger out on. And oh she spied a pair of prefect targets but a quick probe into their minds found one of them unsuitable for her plans. She couldn't work with something that actually liked her kind. But Tracyn, oh yes. The mandalorian wasn't fond of Requiae at all it seemed. She could use that to her advantage. And it helped that the Spectre, one of the objects of her current wrath, was over there being a nuisance. So the pretty little Allure circled closer to the group trying to escape and assaulted Tracyn's mind with all her anger and hate for the little Spectre flitting about nearby. She was armored right? How much damage could one little death bird do?

Baal and Ketsukei were not about to let up on their attack just becuase blood had been drawn. But then...where was the fun in killing the prey when they could encourage the young ones to come play as well? Ketsukei was happily siphoning away the half-shinx's pain, drinking it in like it was his favorite wine crooning his contentment with the chaos surrounding him. Yes, the Satan's Servant Phantom thrived in chaos and pain and misery. And while Ketsukei was happily feeding off the half-shinx, Baal was eying his mother and her bond. Lilith approved which was more than enough for the young Remnant but torturing humanoids was only fun for so long. Instead, he set his gaze on the Lament that was pestering the doctor, giving her a come hither call. Leave the angry man alone and come play. There was plenty of fun to be had over here. >;3

And it's really a bit of a fail that one cannot watch where one is going when fleeing for one's life. Because the moment you didn't stop to look where you were going, you ran into a tree. And had eggs falling on your head that then decided to hatch to leave little death-birds nesting in your hair. >.>

Which was the predicament our lovely wolf-shifter found himself in after he'd dodged the pair of lords. And this, of course, was completely unacceptable. Really...he hadn't even gotten a chance to offer and 'I'm fine' to Grimm. Though he did have a bit of a headache, eggs falling on your head will do that to you, you know. But...well...in the end he was left sitting under a tree with a Requiae perched on his head. All in all not his ideal choice of situations but it could have been worse. Now...the question was....how did one remove a Requiae from one's head without making it mad? "Oi! Go nest somewhere else. Get off my head." He ordered (not that he really expected it to work) prodding the bird in the side (and hoping she didn't decided to slice at his fingers with her wings). When in doubt, poke them and tell them to go away. Because that was always a good idea wasn't it?

They were making progress. Rather good progress, in fact. The Doctor's warning about the man she was supporting was taken in gratefully, throwing him a grateful look although she doubted he noticed as he was busy with some unfriendly...company. So she continued in remote silence, pointed ears back more out of worry and her eyes a few shades darker than normal. Although the help of Tracyn was gladly appreciated, and she smiled a friendly smile at the woman when the other noticed her presence. Working together was great fun! ...Well, it was easier at least.

As Taesoren flew closer to her, relieving some of her worry, something backfired- another Legacy crashed into him, and his startled screech forced his bonded's head to whip around to stare at him. Her breath caught as she saw the gentle-souled being attacked. Very faintly she heard her own Phantom's distraut, terrified cry as he probably hid more into his tree, but her eyes were trained on the blind Albino as he desperately tried to balance himself out in mid-air, his right wing being handled oddly. Little did the elf know, the Legacy that had collided with hers had torn a tendon at the base of his wing.

Before any fighting could happen, however, she saw her second Legacy, Star Planet, wing in between the two. Staring down the young Legacy, the calm Requiae seemed to tell him with his sharp gaze that he needed to back off. Sure, he didn't mind the chaos that they were creating for everyone else assembled; but he shared a mind link with this woman, damn it, and if you kept giving her cause to worry it went straight to him! D<

And again, some more unwanted company butted in!

As she watched Taesoren manage to find a medium between pain and flight, her vision blurred. Immediately recognizing this from the last Requiae bonding she had attended, she could only pale as she saw the grainy image of her youngest Legacy cry out when the elder suddenly turned on him and ripped out his throat. He fell to the ground with a sickening thud, his body wet with his own blood-

And there she quickly turned back, tearing her gaze away from false sights, trying to keep calm. But the little bastard, wherever it was, wasn't finished yet- because the next thing she knew, she was watching Altair getting clawed at, ripped into, and left to die right in front of her all alone-

BAH! This time she snapped herself out of the vision, now visibly shaking, and her eyes darted to her mate in feverish worry just to make sure he in fact was alright and still y'know there. Because she totally couldn't feel the pressure on her shoulder from holding him up. She looked away once she saw he was okay, then slowly looked up to see if she could spot any of the young chicks focusing....on....

Gllaaarrreee. Glare at the Spectre that was following them, for the elf recognized his concentration on her even if she wasn't connected to him in any other way. Using the bridge he had built to send her the images, she sent one that clearly wanted him to piss off, but she was only granted with another image, this time of her being....pregnant?!

OKAY THAT WAS ENOUGH! Turning back around, eyes hard and her back stiff, the elf continued helping Altair, ignoring more images flooding her head. Finally, she kicked up a rock, stopped, put an arm around her mate's back just in case she threw him off balance by accident, twisted around and chucked the rock at the Spectre. HA! HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT?!?

.......Just leave her alone >>

Oh yes... She was pleased. More than pleased, actually. Abyzou sat on her perch, her wings half-unfurled as she watched her minions bicker and fight amongst themselves. Their anger and envy was delicious, and as she drank it up, the pain they started to give off provided the perfect seasoning to the entire thing. However, a silent command went up in the air for the Requiae's senses only, so she released both men and took to the skies with a harsh cry, flying over the area in a wide circle while surverying the area. Soon... So soon...The Remnant that had been using Teeka as a perch glanced around when the signal had come, and after giving her shoulder spike an apologetic rap with his beak, he took to the skies as well. He circled much lower than the older Allure, but it seemed as if he was looking for something... His keen eyes kept flickering from side to side, but if you wanted to know what it was he was looking for, you'd have to wait until the next post. Having him side-step her wasn't exactly something she was pleased with. The Lament clicked her beak at Grimm, flapping her wings to remain airbourne as she eyed him. He didn't really seem like much of a meal, and he wasn't entertaining anyway. So there. With a flick of her wings, she took to the skies after her brother, beak parted in a sort of fierce smirk... Don't think she wasn't feeding on the many chaotic emotions everyone was seeping. Ohhhh no, loves. She would be full in a short amount of time. As to her brother, who was being looked after by Grimm, he merely blinked up at the man, shuffling to his feet and fanning out his tail feathers. That...was a very good question. Was he okay? He gave a tiny croon, flapping his wings enough to hover above the ground before stopping with a little thump. Yep. He was just dandy. Keeping eye-contact with the man, the Legacy hopped closer and gave the good Doctor and gave him a 'thank you' nip on the man's pants... Unfortunately nicking a hole in the fabric, but hey... He hadn't tried to maim you? He took to the skies after his sister, circling just as she had done as he kept watchful. As for the half-Vulcan who stumbled into the area and just passed out... Well. He picked a good time to do so. The tree he'd run into had been housing three eggs, and the vibration his head had sent through it gave them enough of a bounce to encourage them to hatch. The first out of its egg was the I'm To Blame Spectre, who gave a shrill screech and took to the skies, promptly running into his older Remnant brother and nearly knocked them both out of the skies... Whoops! The second to hatch was the Always Waiting Lament, who fluttered down to Saiph's knocked-out body, nudged it, then flew off after her siblings. What? He wasn't her problem.Oh, and it's not such a good idea to sit there, frozen like an icicle. Emryn would be released from Abyzou's attentions, but wouldn't be allowed to just stand there like a bump on a log. The last to hatch from that nest near the half-Vulcan, the Don't Look Allure, gave a startled screech when her wings wouldn't cooperate with her, and ended up barreling right into the Prince after trying to fly out of the nest. Her wings and body was a flailing mass of pinions and metallic claws, but after a moment she managed to propel herself off of the man and into the sky, where she was told she needed to be. Just because she'd been in a tough shell doesn't mean she didn't hear the silent command. She just sort of failed for a moment. No crime in that. And yes Tracyn, you were hurting Altair pretty badly. When she picked up the pace, the poor Elven Shifter gave a scream, letting go of both women and crumpling back on the ground. That hurt, woman! His side was a burning, massive pain, and he really didn't want to go any further... Which worked fine for the little ones in the area. Aranel and Tracyn would find their sight taken from them by the Spectre who'd been tormenting the Elf earlier, even as he flew off to join the rest of his family. Hey, he was good at multi-tasking...Which was probably bad for both women. The Legacy who'd collided with Taesoren gave an apologetic cheep as he finally managed to flutter backwards, eyeing the bloodied male remosefully. He may have been an evil little bastard, but he knew when he was out of line. He joined the rest of his family promptly, even though one of his Allure sisters gave him a good earful for his actions. As for the Phantom that Maeko was busy crooning to, well, he wasn't an idiot. It was clear that the woman belonged to that Queen there, though it would be a lie if I said he hadn't hesitated slightly. Lilith inviting him closer made him unfurl his wings slightly, and he took a graceful leap to become airbourne. He gave a soft cry in response, following the Vampire eagerly above her head. He was indeed starved, and would ignore the summons he'd heard in favor of following her. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, and it would be foolish if he didn't take her up on her offer now. While Kythen was prodding at the at the Allure (who had no intention of budging, mind you), another two eggs would hatch nearby, releasing the last of the death bird hatchlings into their new life. The Not Too Close Allure barely spared a glance back at her sister before slicing the air with her pinions, and her Does NOT Have A Drinking Problem Lament sister sort of...flopped over. She wasn't the smartest of the group, and the way she just sort of swayed there should have alerted anyone looking at her to something being off... But you'd just have wait until her description comes up, won't you? ;3With all the little ones (or...almost all of them...) flying over the heads of the attendees, you could expect a random grainy vision to hit you... Or the sapping of certain emotions... But that, my dears, I'm leaving up to you. Altair's own Requiae landed in their respective trees, with Kythen's, Saiph's, and Aranel's (minus the blind male) following suit. Their eyes would feel like close inspections, but could you really blame them?

(OOC: This...took waaaay too long. Please forgive the fail post... Come up with what you'd like the babies to do to you, but please refrain from using specific ones. :3 My next post will be in a week, I think... Or whenever I get my computer back. I'll be posting two more times, then the bonding will end. Thank you all for being so patient with me. <3)

This was blasphemy. When the elf succeeded in pushing the Spectre out of her mind enough for her to concentrate, the next thing she knew Altair had screamed and fallen next to her. While it made her jump a mile, just the sound of his voice, it also made her worry kick into high-gear. Her focus was on him almost instantly, and it took a moment to realize that the other woman that had been helping her help him get out of here had picked up the pace too much for the elf raven-shifter to handle.

"Altair! W-" But she cut herself off, stumbling backwards a step or maybe even two. Because as she had reached down to try and comfort her Mate, everything suddenly vanished. Her sight was replaced by inky darkness that she couldn't seem to get rid of. After standing ridigly for a minute or two she exhaled and tried to calm her rattled mind. Taesoren, finally giving up and landing on the ground, threw her a comforting thought once he realized what the young Lord was doing to her. It didn't cheer her up much, but at least she knew she wasn't dead.

Slowly, she let her arms fall to her sides, and she stood there, ears flicking backwards. "....What's going on....?" she asked him finally, trying to keep a shake out of her voice. She was talking about the Requiae; she could hear the rustling of a lot of wings above them, and to say it unsettled her would be an understatement.

However, after a moment of investigation, she figured out that her other two Requiae were in their trees. So........D: What was going ooonnn?!?

What? Didn't her princess Altair what to be rescued any more? And why was he crying like a little sissy pants? surely it didn't hurt that much? It was beyond her comprehension that there where actually people that didn't have a pain threshold as high as her own. Huffing in disgust she left him in a heap on the ground, and with a shake of her head she turned to look at the clearing as the Requiae swooped all around the group helping out the raven shifter. If Altair didn't want rescuing then she would find someone else whom wanted her services more! Later Altair! Tracyn's going to leave you in the capable hands of Aranel!

Then next thing Tracyn knew her mind was being assaulted by the Spectre, his grainy images filling every thought as she fell to the floor. She'd forgotten that the Requiae could do that (she didn't interact with Beowulf much beyond staring at him) and found her knees hitting the soil. It took her a long moment before she was able to fight back against the images that the Spectre assaulted her with, and it was a good thing too as she watched the form of one of the Requiae getting closer and closer to her prone body.

She found herself laughing at that, it's claws wouldn't get past her armor and by the time it figured that out she would have pushed it in the ribs.

Well that would be the plan anyway and the events thus far had not gone to plan! Maybe she should expect something bad to happen to her? Nah! What could go wrong? she had everything planned out and nothing was going to stop her now!!

Well, at least the little hellion was okay. That was good...he supposed. And the little she-beast had gone off to terrorize someone else, thankfully. But Grimm still kept one eye on the male he was watching, only satisfied when he took wing and went to join the siblings. Of course, that probably wasn't a good thing in the slightest, but well, they were all here willingly, and no one had run off yet. It was all their own faults.

And then Saiph showed up, and promptly knocked himself out by running into a tree, and Grimm could only stare for a moment. He could see blood, knew the man was hurt, and yet for a brief moment, he felt like he wanted to strangle the half-Vulcan. He didn't know what the hell had been chasing him, or why he felt the need to not pay attention and run into a tree...which hatched three more demons...but damnit, this was not the time. "God help him." He cursed, and stalked over to his mate.

Grimm knelt down, keeping one eye on what was going on, and made sure Saiph was at least still breathing. He wasn't sure why his healing powers weren't kicking in...must be one of those weird times, but Grimm did his best to patch up the worse injuries and get Saiph comfortable. Mind you, this was made a bit more difficult by what the Requiae were now doing. The annoyance at Saiph flared higher, mingling with anger and impatience. He felt tired of always having to follow around and patch the half-Vulcan up...and not just Saiph, but everyone. Because they all ran into bondings like this, all ready to be hurt and uncaring who else they put in danger or what happened, as long as they got...

No.

The sharp edge of unrealness made Grimm shake his head to clear the feelings. The damned Queen of his had done this before, and he knew what it felt like to have his emotions manipulated. He couldn't always fight it, of course, but he grasped the understanding that it wasn't even close to being real. He shot a glare up at the circling group, cursed, and went back to making sure Saiph was indeed okay. He was a doctor, damnit, not a buffet. They could stop now.

As soon as the Requia left her shoulder Teeka had a feeling that things were going to go very wrong very quickly. Everyone, the young Shinies included, was just a bit too wound up for anything good to happen. Worse, the strange smell and sensation had returned.

It was something that she had failed to make the connection to, but for her those sensations were the closest she could come to experiencing the surreal, often unpleasant visions that came in the presence of Requaie. Since she had no eyes, her other senses took over in conveying the unsettling phenomenon.

Trying to get everyone to calm down would be useless at this point, so all she could do was stand and try to weather the confusion while wings passed by far too close over head. Emotions running high as they were now, perhaps everyone would get lucky and the young birds would eat their fill quickly.

All things considered, she really wanted to leave, but her concern for the others kept her there. As a xenomorph she was able to take a lot more punishment than most humanoids so she figured she should stay just in case things went badly wrong and a rescue was needed.

Darkness.

A sound? Saiph blinked, though it did no good, trying to decide what, exactly, was going on. He stilled, took slow breaths through his nose, and -- feet. Okay. The sound of footsteps. Barely moving, he twitched his fingers and opened his mouth a little to inhale.

Damp soil. Old leaves. Something metalli...
Blood.

Consciousness wasn't exactly present. Vaguely, he felt uncomfortable tugs and pokes here and there, though he was not exactly aware of where he was and why he felt so damn bad. Oh -- that wasn't entirely him. Against the torrent of pain, something, dragging him down, back into a meditative state, he frowned. Grimm. That was Grimm. He would know the doctor's touch anywhere, conscious or not, in...what was wrong with his mate? He was clearly not happy. Why? Did it have something to do with those sharp pains he seemed to be experiencing?

There was a tug of...something. It was familiar. Briefly, gold-blue-bright toned comfort took away the pull of unconsciousness and pain, but it wasn't enough, certainly not --

Blood? Blood!

Why did he always awaken covered in blood? What was wrong with this place? This wasn't healthy. Why the blood, though? The footsteps, started, again -- further off, now? Yes. Closer, though...the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. Suddenly, cold fear set steel bands around his heart, sending it twitching and shuddering like a rabbit trapped in a one-exit warren. Trying valiantly to control his breathing, his movements, he stilled as much as he could --

The fear only elevated. His heart hammered in his side, until he thought it might explode. He was perspiring -- shit! No! He had to control his fear. Breathe. Compartmentalize. Slowly.

No, no, no no NO --

Groaning, he struggled rabidly for the distant sound of voices, of people. He wasn't entirely certain what was going on, but it had to be better than those grainy, almost-familiar-for-some-reason visions that haunted the back of his mind. Opening his eyes seemed more effort than he could muster; why? They hurt, but...oh.

Blood.

He smelled it. It was everywhere.

Fear overtook the lad once more, and this time what the humans would call the fight instinct kicked in. Savagely kicking off the drowsiness of a likely concussion, the half-Vulcan sat straight up, wobbling only a little. "What?" He demanded, unfocused eyes drifting around the hazy clearing. Finally -- stopping on Grimm. Shoving down the automatic rush of ohthankinsertdeityhere, he sent it to the same place that the overwhelming fear was, and tried to struggle to his feet. "What...what's going on?"

[Augh, most strung-out post ever. x.x It is surprisingly hard to play an unconscious character. Damnit, Saiph. Failtastic bastard. I don't remember it being this hard, before. -giggles-]

Sorry, Aranel. Altair wasn't going to be able to respond to you. Having lost the amount of blood that was in the danger levels, the Elven Shifter passed out curled up in a ball... Possibly at one of the worst moments of the bonding, too. The Spectre tormenting the girl was delighted to feel her slight panic when her sight was taken from her, and even landed in a nearby tree to get a better look at her. He began a steady sapping of her emotions, and while doing so, started to push others on her as well. That bloodied heap of flesh you so laughably call a mate? Yeah, you don't love him as much as you did a couple minutes ago... In fact, as the Lord gave her back her sight, he tugged her forward as best he could, wicked beak parted in a a cruel grin. Come to him, little Elf. You really don't like that bloodied meat puppet, do you?Bond! Mutilated Dreams Spectre to AranelWhat could go wrong? Silly Tracyn. Didn't you know everything could go wrong? She'd been watched since earlier, and having finally managed to untangle himself from his brother, she'd find a pair of eyes boring into the back of her head. The young Requia flicked his wings, having landed in a tree quite a distance away and seemed to be studying her fairly closely. The moment she started stomping away from 'Princess Altair', he screeched, diving at her with his talons aimed at the small area between her neck and her back... Only to turn the last minute and slam into her with as much of his weight as possible. The Spectre cackled, swirling around her head in a bigger circled before doing it again. If you weren't sure, he was trying to knock you over... Oh yeah, and he'd need a name too.Bond! I'm To Blame Spectre to TracynDon't think it was only Tracyn who was being watched either. Circling above the rest of his siblings (after showing his idiot brothers exactly who was strongest there), the Remnant of the group kept a keen eye on...someone. He'd managed to fool you up until this point in time, you know. Just because he'd fought with the others and had perched on that Teeka girl, didn't mean he wasn't keeping a careful eye on you. He tilted his head, clenching and unclenching his claws as he kept a close on on what he knew would be his bond. His clearly drunken Lament sister finally made it up into the sky, and despite not being very good at it, had been targeting Grimm and making him feel things he shouldn't be feeling. Which only pissed off the Lord. He screamed at her, talons latching onto her as he threw her from the sky. Dumb little bitch. The Doctor was his. Making sure the bond was felt before he attempted it, the male made a sharp turn and attempted to land on the man, eyes gazing up at his circling siblings. Just try and do something to him now.Bond! Victory's Battle Cry Remnant to GrimmAnd Teeka's being involved, but not being involved approach seemed to have caught some attention all by itself. One of the young ones had noted the Xenomorpha's lack of eyes and was keeping watch over here, if only to make sure nothing too horrible was shown to the woman. When one of her stupid brothers tried to pelt the woman with a particularly nasty image, the Allure dove at him to distract him, throwing quick glances back down at the one she'd been watching so carefully. That vision didn't reach her, did it? Once she'd successfully chased off her brother, the female gave a soft croon, tilting head head to the side as she landed on the woman's shoulder spike; yes, the very same spike her Remnant brother had perched on before! She nudged Teeka lightly with her beak, peering at her as she formed a hesitant bond. Were you okay?Bond! Cancerous Amour Allure to TeekaOh, and that Lament that the Remnant chucked out of the air? She'd end up flying right into the one she'd bond to. Flailing and making a huge fuss the entire way down, she slammed right into Saiph, sprawling across his chest as her head swayed back and forth from the impact. Whaaaaa...? How'd she end up down there? She cheeped and promptly rolled off of him, landing on her back and lying really still for a moment. This just wasn't cool, yo. But at least she hadn't crash-landed onto the ground. The half-Vulcan softened the hit quite nicely. Her head lolled in his direction, and she peered at him eeriely for a moment before her beak fell open in a sort of deranged looking '8D' face. You don't mind if she follows you home, riiiiight?Bond! Does NOT Have A Drinking Problem Lament to Saiph

Grimm was trying to follow everything that was going on. He was annoyed with the Requiae circling above, not entirely sure what was going to happen but not having a good feeling. But he was thankful to see Saiph finally wake up, and he shot his mate a slight look. "You ran headfirst into a tree. And a Requiae bondin'." He deadpanned, not at all pleased at how Saiph managed to get himself into this mess. "Just what the hell were you thinkin'?" Grimm might have continued his rant, but things were happening...he spotted a large lord attacking a sibling...and then felt the click of something snapping into place in his head. That...great. Just great.

But the lingering anger that had been forced on him was clearing as the male got closer, and Grimm instinctively raised his arm, letting the lord land. He just sorta stared at the male, read the protectivness in his posture, and was just...baffled. This was nothing like his queen, and...he hadn't realized they came in white. Wasn't that just a tad...oh, odd?

"Guess I'm yours now, Lucius." The doctor huffed, even as he turned his attention to watch a rather drunk looking female fall out of the sky on Saiph. Great. They were going to end up with more demon-birds in their home. The thought made Lucius click his beak as he gave his sister a 'try it' look...but he was quick to decide that she wasn't going to be much of a threat.

The others, still flying around? Yeah. They were threats. And he just dared them to try anything stupid. He was not above killing his own sibling if they tried to harm his bond.

(I am STILL spazzing over him. <3 Thank you so much, hon. He's just perfect and everything I was looking for.)

Lilith was quite pleased as her charms worked -but when did they ever fail?- and crooned delightedly as the Phantom took the air and circled above their heads. She was swift to join him, circling protectively around her bonded and sapping away at any others that might have been trying to wreak havoc in the undead woman’s mind. Samiel screeched, and dove down at Aranel; he wouldn’t poison her, just harass her as the Spectre had done. It was more fun, and he could show this Phantom how to truly be a terror.

Glancing around at everyone gathered, the woman frowned softly. It was very chaotic here, and while she did love that for the Requiae, the victims were going to be drained dry before long, and she didn’t want that. “Lilith! It’s time to clear out! We can head to the weyrd.” The queen seemed to understand, flashing grainy images of the unsuspecting villagers just a short distance away. They would be better than this, old, used up food. New souls, just rip for the devouring.

She circled above and gave out a low caw, swiftly joined by the massive Remnant, who had swooped upward from Aranel and towards the Phantom, urging him to join them once he had had his fun. The call was extended to all the Requiae present, whispering to the hungry of rich meals, of learning how to feed so that you don’t empty a person dry foolishly, and loose your prey for a couple of days.

There was much to learn when you were a young Requia, and Lilith was a wickedly good teacher.

Teeka had been expecting something to happen, so when the Allure landed on her shoulder spine all she did was lift her hand slightly to compensate for the weight of the young Shiny. She could sense that she had chosen her as a Bond, which meant that she had to come up with a name. The problem was, she was having a hard time getting the measure of this particular Requia. There was something odd about the Allure that she was unable to put her finger on.

Would you mind being named Nicolette? she asked, going with the first name that came to her.

The Allure let out a soft cawing sound, which Teeka chose to interpret as agreement.

Not yet ready to go home, Teeka remained where she was, trying to track the movements of the Requaie that were still flying around.

Once everyone else left, she would do so as well, but there was still the chance that things might take a turn for the worse.

((Thank you!))
