It seemed like months had gone into this, he had thought out everything. Top to bottom he had built this structure with his own hands and it was almost a shame that at the end of all of this it would be taken down like it was never there, after all who would want to keep this contraption up and mar all of the beautiful land that surrounded it? The structure in question was a monstrous object looking more like it belonged on the backing of a stage then it did in nature, and in actuality it did. The Professor had managed to string up a truss structure , the dimensions of which had long become just blurred blobs of numbers in his head. All he knew was that it was HUGE and he had managed to do all of the work by hand, by himself. This structure rose high about the water surface and stretched all the way to the bed, he had help down there, after all he could only hold his breath for so long even the air tanks had failed him.

Alas, he had done it, all of it. The signs that were spring loaded, a remote wirelessly connected so that Professor could shoot them off and reloaded them at will, and tucked up against the underside of the top beam of the structure. These made him smirk deviously every time he thought of them, what they said would remain a mystery until the time was right, and oh how sweet that time would be for him. He should not have been taking so much joy in all of this but he was, especially after all the images he had been assaulted with in the weeks after he had stumbled upon his temporary 'friends.' They had been relentless with their constant image input and by the end of it he had scolded many for assuming he was a superhero just because he had managed to build the truss. Oh, there was also the slight mistake he made of showing off the TARDIS when he was bring in materials. That had only enforced it, which made him try to live up to the standards.

Along with the truss structure visible on the surface, because what was lurking deep underneath wouldn't be revealed for awhile, he had constructed a half circle dock that would bring the visitors out closer to the structure. It wasn't anything fancy, it was pretty much free floating except for the thick plastic wrapped wires that anchored it to the rock in the bed with as little damage as possible. There wasn't a reason to ruin nature if it could be helped.

However before they even got to see any of this hard work , they would be lead out here by curiosity of course. Why? Because they would have to follow a trail of bread crumbs, only the crumbs were fancy fishing hooks, larger than usual, the feathers and trinkets tied onto them would be vibrant and eye catching. They also gave away clues as to what the visitor was to expect, if they only paid close enough attention. These hooks lead paths here from all over the Weyrd. The Professor had dropped them as he roamed about, trying to look nothing like the freak he felt like.

The first thing they would encounter when they arrived would be scuba diving gear laying in a mountainous heap by the entrance, a neat and tidy heap, but a heap none the less. A hint that it was probably important to have one since it was the first thing they saw. The further in they got the more everything looked like a huge concert was being held there and the dock was the seating. In the center the structure, which was the center of everything, sitting on a life guard style chair was the Professor. His hair a disheveled mess and he looked down right insane. Hell, at this point in time it was safe to say he was.

Below the surface of the water the visitors would see the main attractions. The beorfin darting around in violent but graceful movements, almost showing themselves off because they knew everyone was here to see them. Not far from the structure peering at the dock with an uninviting look was Adi'ryx, the father of the pod below. The look didn't surprise the Professor, if he had been in his position he would have been attempting to spit flames at those who approached his kids. But after a series of violent and then approving images in the beginning Adi'ryx seemed less stubborn now, if that was possible. He still, however, looked like he could cut someone from breast bone to pelvic with just one look.

When the visitors arrived they would receive instruction from the Professor. Simple really.

"Take a fishing pole, try your luck, don't forget to hold your breath." A wicked smirk, that went along with his eerily sounding voice, would taint his disheveled face after that and he would point a hand to a fishing pole rack right off the dock. The poles weren't normal, they were thicker in rod and instead of a hook at the end they had been rigged to a handle of sorts. There was no warning that the dock would sway slightly under their feet and no further instruction, he simply sank into his chair, crossed his arms and watched with a more than amused twinkle in his eyes, the sign remote clenched tightly in his hand. Oh he was ready for this. Let the game begin.

Rules and Notes;
This is my first bonding, so please bare with me while I work though all of this. I would really appreciate that, and I want to say a big ole thank you to anyone that participates in this adventure with me.
1. Shinies are allowed, however they won't be allowed past the dock. Things get sticky in the water, just a heads up. Plus, it makes it easier for me to keep track of everyone.
2. Please only post once per round, I know that the urge to post more than once hits everyone, it hits me all the time, but for the sake of my sanity just once. I will be as prompt as possible with the posts, probably at least once a week, but I am a full time college student with responsibilities on top of that so bare with me.
3. I want preferences from everyone, they are a must. Your top 3-5 for rank and personality, seeing as there are so many babies, or you could write a list of 12 and go from most to least want. Whatever makes you happy.
4. I haven't decided if this will close after the first 2 weeks or not, but you should probably get your joining posts in before that, just in case that is where my brain goes. I likely be flexible though.
5. If you have any question, comments, concerns, please send a PM my way and I will be more than happy to answer.
6. The Scuba gear is there for a reason, You kind of have to have it for future rounds, unless your charrie can breath under water.

Not a Single $@&! was Given that Day Io'thelin
Description; This Lord is about average size, about 7', though he isn't nearly as muscular as his rank normally is. That doesn't prevent the strength he possesses though. However, you probably wouldn't notice his build first, no, the first thing you would spot would be the pitch black eyes he dons. They look painted on and damp, not to mention that you will probably feel like he is looking into your soul even if he just barely glances at you. His body draws attention next as its somewhat unconventional. His front half is a bold rosy redish color that bleeds into a muted yellow at his tail and gets progressively deeper till it looks like the tip of said tail is on fire, hot reds and oranges bleed into the creases like he was assaulted by a very messy painter, the evidence of this licks up his tail in hints too, but is mainly focused on the end. The tufts/fins along his back match his upper half but the tendrils that fall from his tail match the creases of his tail. He looks like hell on wheels and moves like it too, if you catch him in the water it's safe to assume that its just a flicker of fire.

Personality; Like the majority of his rank he is strong willed and pig headed, the only difference is he does all of this with an air that screams that he just doesn't give a f-ck about anything. It's probably because he does not. Maybe those are the reasons why he is the way he is. Though he has nothing to be so bitter about, no tragic incidents and he wasn't even handed the ugly stick at birth, which makes for an interesting mix confident and not caring. Yes, he knows he is handsome but that point is mute. He doesn't try to use it to his advantage and he would much rather you just didn't look at him especially if you want a fight. Because it would not end well for you at all. You want a fight? That's nice, allow him to look for all the f-cks he gives. Oh, sorry, no he couldn't find them try again later. It will probably be the same story though, fighting is futile, because when and if he ever decides to do so, he will win and not still care about it. You had a bad day? Awesome, that affects him how? You hurt yourself? Aw, that is a personal problem look for another sucker to give you the sympathy you need. Over all if you really choose to dig deeper he is a selfish one, and its doubt full the chill in his heart will ever thaw.

Socially Awkward Penguin Caie-lyr
Description; Well, he is a pretty little thing isn't he? This male stretches about 5'3" which for his rank is on the short side but it works for him. He's filled out for his length and only a little lanky with just enough meat on his bones to make him look very well fed. Despite his size his tendrils make up for it, they are awkwardly long on his small statue and often get wrapped around him. They make him look bigger than he is but once you get past their length you realize you have been duped. The bulk of his body is a Calla Lily yellow. In fact all but the creases in his tail and the lower half of his tail are this color. A bright green fills the creases and ribbon wrap up to meet the yellow. He looks like a big Calla Lily to put it lightly, the only thing to throw this off is the flecks of teal that speckle his tail, tufts/fins, and basically dominate the tendrils that branch from his tail. The teal doesn't touch the pureness of his yellow torso. This males eyes hold a hazel color, the yellow from his body playing tricks and appearing to swirl through his eyes in the right light.

Personality; He's just awkward, and not awkward moment awkward like his sibling but constantly awkward. Which gets in the way when everything in him screams for him to be social and love on people. He is the biggest sweetheart and would gladly spend the day wrapped around you in whatever water source you decide to put him in. His bubbly undercoat and very innocent features make all of this 100% true, but alas his social awkwardness prevents that. Why? Because he refuses to initiate contact, he could do something wrong! You look at him too long and he dips his head. If approached too quickly he shrinks back. He isn't necessarily afraid of you he just never learned the proper social skills. If he ever were to make the first move chances are it is wrong and he would likely hide for the rest of the time. He is confident....sometimes, that he will eventually figure it out. There is a 50/50 chance right? Aside from his awkwardness he is very smart and kind, the chances of him ever doing anything to harm you or anyone else intentionally is nonexistent.

Do ALL the Things Caie-lyr
Description; This male is huge, he pushed the 5'6" line and that isn't even including his long and sweeping tendrils. It only adds to the beauty that he holds though, even if he would prefer for anyone to call him handsome. He isn't very buff but he is on the chubby side, not fat by any means, he just enjoys a good meal. There is definitely muscle there but he would not be considered a hard body. A mossy green stretches over every inch of him from muzzle to fin tips. Which in itself is captivating enough, it makes you want to sink your feet in and wiggle your toes just to feel the give of the soft sponge underneath. But he has an extra special dusting layered light over him in a captivating blush of teal, it only differs on his fins/tufts, and tendrils, those are dipped in that teal color at the end. This males eyes, like his brothers are a hazel, but he has electric flecks of jade speckling them. He has doe eyes seem to pop against the mostly dark background.

Personality; This fella is plenty social, in fact he is an overachiever. That in itself is an understatement, because he is more than that, he isn't just an overachiever, no, he is enthusiastic about it to the point of possible hysterics. Yes, a shame really. You can pick just one type of ice cream and eat it until your brain freezes and your eyes cross. He cannot, he has to eat ALL the ice cream and have ALL the brain freezes. Oh and it is unbelievable how serious he takes this, it is his equivalent to a masterpiece, a paper written on the wonders of the universe, only more serious. The male is up for the challenge and he is all for keeping a positive attitude about everything. Perhaps he will rub off on his bond and make them productive on occasion, or it could have the opposite effect and make ALL the distractions show themselves. Yes! Color ALL the pictures! But wait? You have things to do? Oh, so sad because you need to do ALL the games, and take ALL the naps. He is quite content to entertain himself but it is almost positive that he will entertain his bond. Why? Because he fist pumps whenever he gets the chance to punctuate his awesomeness.

Your Argument is Invalid Kel'rhea
Description; A soft supple pink paints the body of this female. Its paler than a blush but much more captivating, making her look like she is wrapped in silken sheets that shimmer if caught in the right light, all 4' of her. She is short and petite and if her coloring doesn't scream innocent than her soft almost doll like features will. Twisting like vines under her fins and over her belly are soft pale yellow faint lines, they twist up and over her muzzle coming to a stop with a burst of a brighter yellow just below her captivating blue/green eyes, sharped like rounded off almonds and glint almost constantly. She looks like a delicate cherry blossom, with her fins/tufts and tendrils being a stark bold difference from the rest of her softness. They pop with a deep fuschia pink that bleeds slightly just out at the base of her fins/tufts and tendrils.

Personality; This is a sticky situation, see, this little lady is smart, and she knows she is. Which in itself isn't that bad, but she cannot under any kind of circumstances be wrong, that is only the tip of the ice berg with this one. She will go to any lengths to prove how right she is. No, she doesn't think you're stupid, far from it, she just thinks she's smarter. And these things aren't done to spite you, she honestly just can't help it Her argument is correct and yours is invalid. Don't get discouraged though there will be plenty of opportunities for her to prove her intelligence and for you to marvel at the facts. If it helps once you get past that aggressive behavior she really is very sweet and in no way does she spend every hour of every day finding new ways to make herself smarter in arguments. No, really her bond should think of them more as debates that they will never win unless you sit down and take out hours of your time for it. But if on the off chance you do win, wow will she respect you enough until she comes harder during the next one.

Awkward Moment When Kel'rhea
Description; About 4' 5" and stunning! Her coloring is more drab than her siblings but she pulls it off in a way that makes you think otherwise. Her body is a brilliant milky chocolaty brown color, darker in certain patches than others. On her underbelly she has a soft pale yellow hue that swallows the underside of the length of her tail and comes up to shade the bottom of her muzzle. Her fins/tufts and tendrils are copper color the chocolate the coats the majority of her body. Around her eyes is a darker patch of chocolaty brown and it frames her chestnut eyes perfectly, it also picks up the orange flecks the float around in there with ease. The only thing that sticks out as odd on this pretty little girl is the stark white that tips her ears. But aside from that she only has the flawless blend of her coloring and lacks other markings that her siblings possess. It doesn't take away from her though, looking more like an intricate painting than a creature of the sea. Or maybe she looks more like a creature that belongs in the treetops. Either way she is a Beorfin through and through and possesses their features though some of her lines are sharper. She could be a model Beorfin if she wanted too.

Personality;
Well, that was awkward...or not, but that is how she leads all of her information with, "That awkward moment when..," but usually the moment isn't even awkward its just her way to break the silence without a drum kit. She likes to pretend she isn't as awkward as her sibling and in her defense she probably doesn't reach that level, but she picks the most interesting times to prove it that it really doesn't work in her favor. You are watching a commercial that makes you uncomfortable? Or reading something that makes your blush....Cue the awkward moment when you get excited of fiction. And really what does that do? It makes things more awkward. But she does it with such cuteness that the aggressive need to fill silence doesn't seem nearly as bad as it could be. I mean at least she doesn't do stuff like that when you're in the bathroom, or on a date....wait, she does. You would too is her fin was yours. Silence is awkward, and situations makes it more awkward. Like when your stuck in a lift and you've already pushed the button but the new comer pushes the button like you already didn't.....Awkward.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED Kel'rhea
Description; Ohh, would you look at that. This female kind of looks like an Easter egg only without the egg part and the dye job is perfection. She is slender and quick like lightening at 4'. She resembles the spark of yellow that resides in that natural occurrence as well. Her body is a soft baby yellow that seems like it should be apart of the sun and her tufts/fins and tendrils start out as a muted fuchsia and bleed into a vibrant purple color. There are some little pieces of her fins and such that decided to not understand what was going on and they branched out as a bluey purple instead, but they still look like they below because they match the color that her eyes glow perfectly. This female looks like a firecracker, takingo n the colors of an bright sea anemone which is fitting, as her tendrils swish and sway like that almost on their own. She won't be able to hide in the dark, but she is damn pretty to look at in all of her Spring time bliss.

Personality; Anything you can do she can do better! Why yes, oh so true, or maybe not, either way she will take on that challenge and never admit defeat only victory. She may even tell you how legen....wait for it.....dary is was in the end. She has bragging rights for her awesome winning streak because she never takes on a challenge she can't win, well there was that one time, but it turns out she won in the end so HA! You say it can't be done, challenge accepted. Nothing is impossible. You don't think she can charm her way out of a bad situation? Accepted and won! No one has ever done something like -insert here-. OH! BUT WAIT! SHE HAS! It's okay that you didn't know how epic she was, she is more than glad to inform you of this. She is a social flower and up for anything, as long as the outcome is her winning and adding another notch to her so called belt. Cause a Beorfin wearing a belt is silly. Accepted! She wins and you can win too with this one in your corner of awesomesauce.

U Mad? Kel'rhea
Description; Have you ever wondered what a mummy would look like wrapped in seaweed? Well, wish granted a 4' 7" mummy for you! This female is a sandy brown, except her fins/tufts and tendrils those are a wet sandy brown. It looks like at one point in time a mess of seaweed wrapped her, leaving only peaks of her body's base color, but now it has fused and seems to speckle off in places, becoming duller like seaweed does without water over time. Lighter flecks or yellow and darker flecks of brown sprinkle along the edges of the 'stripes' and add flare. She can blend in perfectly and easily captivate her target with glowing bronze eyes. After all who can say no to a mass of seaweed with peepers? Its all the better to make her signature face at you with. But a mummy would not be complete unless pieces of it were hanging off right? Right. So, this female has one or two tendrils that flow through the water that match the color of her seaweed wrap.

Personality; U Mad? No Well, you should be, cause she isn't, most of the time. She just enjoys knowing that whatever it is she has done, displeases you, it means you care. Oh it doesn't and she just doesn't care about that either. She cares about her bond but that doesn't leave them exempt from her teasing and trickery. You wish right? She is a trickster and takes absolute pleasure when things go wrong, not physically usually, like come one who wouldn't like that adrenaline rush of power? She does, she thrives on it, which is why when she is in your presence you should really watch your back, and your front, oh the sides, too. Nothing is safe, from her game plan. She even has a facial expression for it, a big ole toothy smirk. In the end everything works out, because you can't not forgive a Beorfin right? Oh? Well, oh well, that won't deter her plans, you have to come aroudn eventually and she will be there attempting to make a joke out of everything for the rest of her days.

Anxiety Cat Kel'rhea
Description; This female is somewhat plain coloring wise, but she is still an eye catcher, even in her 4' 2" size. She is all giant ball of cuteness packed into a pint sized package. Her body is a light purple all over, no special swirls or speckles but the color is so soft and calling that its almost all you need to see to know that she is just amazing. Her fins/tufts and tendrils that she does are off white close enough that they should really just be called white. Nothing bleeds into them to mess with their purity and they almost add a serene kind of angelic glow to this female when she swims through the water or the light hits her right. Around her deep and rich honey brown eyes. In fact the only imperfection to grace her body would be the bold murky yellow lines that wrap around her eyes and cast out like an eye liner cat eye. The yellow down the center of her muzzle in a perfect line and curls around her nose before stopping abruptly just before the opening of her mouth.

Personality; She is perfectly normal, not awkward or misbehaving in anyway. A sweet and loving model Beorfin if you would. But there might be this small issue with crippling anxiety, not that, that is a big deal or anything. She manages to get through days with minimal panic attacks and twitching. Win for her! But anything really can set her off, the smallest noise, a vicious flicker of light, not understanding a situation, or flat out silence. She is a handful but oh so cute with her constant wide eyed puppy dog look that just screams 'HELP ME!' After all, only you can, you are her bond after all, and she loves you for that. But wait, love? Is she supposed to do that? OH GOSH! NO! Cue panic attack of massive proportions. Her anxiety isn't rational, and trying to make it so would be utterly pointless. Really, just help her cope, give her tips, and though it will probably only lessen it at best, maybe you can actually look at her without setting her off one day. That would be lovely right?

Cereal Gal Kel'rhea
Description; This female, about 5' in total, is probably the most confused with her coloring, simply because she takes on the one thing she truly doesn't have. Her body is a calm milky cream color and along the entire length of her spine are maroon and burnt orange fan out and wrap around her torso and down, stopping before touching the purity of her fins/tufts and tendrils. Those stayed as they were but everything else was covered and making her look like a thinly stripped clown fish. The strips on her face weren't really strips but more of a mask covering just her eyes and the top of her muzzle everything else was that creamy color. The creamy color when she moves blurs and looks like pink and orange stained milk, like Fruit Loops that sat for too long, minus the soggy. Her eyes are a brilliant green and appear to always be twinkling with amusement.

Personality; Did you see that? Holy cow! She was not expecting that! So says her spitting out a mouthful of imaginary cereal to prove a point. She enjoys doing this and enjoys even more when you play along with her antics. Did that guy look attractive to you? PSsft, he will never have a girlfriend! Her signature movement here! HOLY COW! He is hot! So, on and so forth. She finds amazement in the small things, the things others find insignificant. Those to her are huge! Amazing, destined for possibly not greatness! She even secretly likes being proved wrong when she tells you stuff like that, just so she knows for one you are paying attention and two she gets to make her face! Really though, you should give her some real cereal, the mess would be so freaking worth it! You wouldn't want to throttle her by the end of the day or anything, she is far too adorable for that.

You Don't Say Mordre-Tu
Description; A dark charcoal gray starts at the tip of his tail and as it travels up his body is gets lighter, never really leaving the realm of smokey grays, until it hits the tip of his muzzle with a dusty silver. That isn't it though, at certain levels of the soft color change he has what looks like shading running all over, making the changes and everything else really just look like one giant smoke billow from top to bottom. His fins/tufts and tendrils are that same dusty silver. All of this and his 6' frame make him look like a giant shadow moving through the see depths. He blends in when he chooses too and you would probably never even suspect that he was there or watching you had you not looked at his face and spotted his eyes. Those beauties are a vibrant red, they look haunted and almost as if they could peer into whoevers soul they see fit. His features are sharp and he looks much more intimidating and bulky because of his coloring, but really, he won't bite, maybe just a nip.

Personality; Now, while his siblings are rainbows and unicorns, well some of them, this wonderful guy is not. Oh no, he rides the opposite end of the spectrum, not quite doom and gloom, but sarcasm. Really though its good matured, most of the time. In his defense he cannot help it, you say something he thinks is stupid and or obvious his head tilts on its own accord and mouth falls open ever so slightly as if to say 'You don't say?' He has many other faces that just scream sarcasm but this one is his favorite. The way he moves, snorts, breathes it all slots into place and pushes him closer and closer to his true potential. He doesn't mean it to be mean, he just gets a thrill in his stomach when he is able to pull one over on his bond, or anyone for that matter. He loves mischief, bad and naughty jokes. He's always up for a good time as long as you don't mind him crashing the party a view times with his antics.

PHILOSORAPTOR Mordre-Tu
Description; A solid silver swallows his whole 6' frame, with the exception of his smokey dusty fins/tufts and tendrils. His eyes are a milky blue that always seem wider than what is considered normal. It adds to his appeal when he asks a question and such. On his belly is dark charcoal curling and twisting like a nebula and licking it what looks like smoke up his sides and fading as they lick at his neck. When they reach his muzzle they suddenly get bolder and twist up to look like he pushed his face too close to the fire and it licked and burnt dark charcoal smudges over his face. These smokey wisps do not touch his talk or his fins. But they do occasionally make him look like a too toasted marshmallow of cuteness. Perhaps a smudgy dalmatian complete with soot if you aren't a fan of sweets.

Personality; Knowledge, intelligence, annoyance! He is all of those things with his constant thirst for all that will make his mind grow, much like his sibling, but unlike his sibling, he does not gain this knowledge to simply accept it and prove it right, no, he gains it to question it. He wishes to make a complete scene about it so that he can learn the full extent of what is being said to him. There is no stupid question right? He fully believes this and seeks philosophical answers in everything even things that only make sense to him, when that happens it is best to play along or risk a blinding headache. Let's say you are a vegan. You love animals that is understood, but if you love them so much why do you eat all their food? Or if a room is dark are the lights really off? Does a glass have to be half full or can it be fully empty? He seeks solace in simple complexity and does enjoy putting his finger to his chin in thought every chance he gets.

I Don't Want to Live on This Planet Anymore Mordre-Tu
Description; This male despite his 6' size only appears to be half that in darkness. His lower body is a murky dark gray that tappers off at his waist with a mighty pale silver flare. His fins/tufts and tendrils match that of his Mordre-Tu siblings with their wispy smokey appearance the only difference is his tendril blend so effortlessly with the color of his lower half that its hard to tell where they actually begin. He has splashes of gray on his back, if you look really hard it almost looks like a blurred out solar system, and other lighter specks that cover the rest of his upper half. Perhaps those almost non-visible specks are stars? Who knows, since they look more like freckles. He has one freckle that looks more like a mole under one of his eyes, eyes that are a dull violet/blue. The irony of his looks is that even if he ever found a new planet all of the old ones would be forever embedded in the blurred splashes on his posterior.

Personality; Here is where the doom and gloom is. In all of its ever loving glory. Why? Because this male doesn't just gloom, oh no. He glooms to epic proportions and the doom is just the cherry on top. He has all kinds of reasons for his emotions or excuses rather. Bad things happen? He needs to find a new planet. Good things happen? He needs a new planet. He just needs a new planet entirely really. He is indifferent like his Io'thelin brother but he really isn't nearly as good at showing it. This male would make a good mad scientist really, he enjoys finding reasons to wipe out said planet, even if he would never actually go through with it. Seriously? Come on, if he got rid of whatever planet he was one, who would he complain, too? That isn't even including the fact that he needs something to go all stone faced and complain about. Nothing is off limits, nope he goes after weather, food, water, his bond, his own looks, and society to name a few. Oh what fun he has making everyone else realize the flaws of everything around them. But wait! When pushed to the limit of utter disgust he changes his tune, wishy washy is he, and decides that NO he likes this planet YOU shove off.

It was Rahulik who found them.

The little aether had been conducting a daily inspection of the garden (which is what he seemed to think himself doing, but Willow thought it was an excuse to just go out and enjoy the garden's calm) when he saw the brightly colored fish-hook, and gone in to investigate. Just because he was calm and collected, didn't mean he entirely lacked the fondness for shiny things that so many bird-creatures had. The difference was in how he handled it. Noting the sharpness of the hook, he picked it up gingerly and flew off to where Willow was checking and re-energizing the wards.

She was just finishing her daily rounds when she saw him flutter over, and she extended an arm for him to land on. "Hello, my friend. What have you got?" She extended her other hand, palm flat, and Rahulik deposited the fishhook in the hand and stalked over to stand on her shoulder, looking both curious and mildly disapproving. Squawk, chirp, was his answer, and the clear image sent over the bond: there had been more then one, laid out in a line-- almost a trail to follow...

"Well, that won't do." Willow said cheerfully, "I'll go pick them up, so some unsuspecting person does't go hurt themselves or something." This seemed to please Rahulik, who nodded and chirped his approval. She paused for a moment, carefully removing the hook from it's bright decoration, and offered the bauble to Rah. "You may have this, if you like."

Rah took it-- slightly grudgingly, and flew off towards the entrance to the cave, Willow following on foot behind. She emerged several moments later, with a large basket in hand, and set to picking up the hooks as one might harvest berries-- putting them right in that basket as soon as she'd gathered them. They were, after all, very pretty lures-- surely someone would want them back?

It became increasingly clear that this was a deliberate trail, as she walked further on and on, and it occured to her that it might lead to a shiny bonding: now that she'd come out into society and had begun to be interested in these glorious creatures the natives called shinies, she noticed that many such strange events were beginning to lead her to bondings. Nevertheless, she followed that trail- Up a hill, down the other side, left through a copse of trees, right across a plain.. and eventually, she came to a pile of scuba equipment and a stage.

..What?

Willow had never seen scuba equipment, so she looked at it curiously nad shook her head. Then she looked beyond it, and it made a little more sense. There, in a tall chair, was the professor-- looking a touch madder then usual. She'd met the time lord in passing more then once, and he always seemed a touch on the wonky side-- but good wonky, you know, the kind of strange she could appreciate. Nevertheless, that smile was.. a little unnerving.

She walked past the scuba equipment, basket in hand, towards the chair. "Hello, Professor!" she called upwards, "Are these yours? I found them- they're very shiny." She held the basket up towards him, full to the brim now of bright shiny lures. "Do you want them back? If not, I'll leave them here, if that's alright with you.." She spoke more quietly now, and put the basket on the sand beside his chair, out of the way.

Only then did she tentatively approach the shore, picking up a fishing pole, and looking at the beorfin. The beorfin were beautiful, and drew her admiring glance for a long moment, before she glanced dubiously at the pole. Catch beautiful sea dogs with.. pole? She cast her dubious glance to the water, and frowned-- she was no great lover of deep water, and that dock did not look that stable...

But the message seemed pretty clear, so she took a pole, and made her way to the dock, stepping on veeeery gingerly and trying to move as little as possible when she noticed how it shifted in the water. that done, she cast her line-- very tentatively, though, so it didn't go very far.

((I think I did that right. Please hit me with a rooster if I didn't, adn I shall edit thread.
A note- i didn't have her put scuba equipment on, because I don't know.. how she'd handle that? given that she doesn't know what it is. I'll have her go back to shore next post and struggle with it if it ends up being required? If that's not cool, I'll edit my post to use some very minor deus-ex-machina to get the stuff on.

Zeph's attention had been hooked, so to speak, by the the fishhook Rasim found while out hunting for shiny items to add to his collection. Aurelius had found the Celeste Cat on the way back, and a short but mostly civil dispute broke out over who exactly got the hook - the Asid wanting it for much the same purposes as the feline. It had eventually been agreed to take the mysterious item to Zeph and let him decide.

"So where did you find this?" the Soul Collector asked, running a bony fingertip over the sharp tip of the hook.

Out bys the pathways. The thin Lord replied proudly, tailing swishing as he cast a sidelong glance at the Risen on the desk. He had found it, so he was entitled to keep it, right?

"An odd place for a fishhook...and what claim do you have on it, Aurelius?"

None. Hook sharp. Rasim hurt? the Risen replied, gaze flicking between the hook and his bonded. His claws were much more dextrous than a Celeste Cat's, so in theory he would be able to handle the item better.

"True..." Zeph hummed in thought, trying to make a decision on who got the pretty fishhook. He certainly didn't need it. At that moment, Caedmon flew in and settled on the desk beside Aurelius, another hook in his paws. "Oh? Another one?" he asked mildly, accepting the new hook as well. "Were there any more?" he asked curiously.

The Aluna chattered in what he had learned meant yes, and the man nodded in understanding. "Well, that solves that problem. You can both have one. In fact...how about you three go collect all the ones you can find? That way anyone who wants a fishhook can have one."

All three shinies agreed to do so, and after giving them a basket to hold what they collected, Zeph walked out to the path to find a trail of hooks leading towards the village. "How interesting. Ah, hello Uncle. Going to join me?" Now that he had finally gotten to Zeph's shoulder, the Psyder certainly wasn't going to leave it! Clicking his mandibles to indicate he was staying, the grumpy Long-Legs settled purposely on the Soul Collector's shoulder. He wanted to see the person who would was so much money on trinkets and then proceed to leave them lying about.

The walk out of the jungle was uneventful, aside from a few unknown shinies crossing their path. The Soul Collector followed the trail of fishhooks down towards the water, pace slowing as he took in the stage. What in the world was all this? Reaching the scuba gear he halted, confused as to what the strange collection of items were for. A faint splash directed his attention towards the water, and he suddenly understood. This was a bonding, and this gear would be needed for it. A quick sort through the pile assured him that he didn't need most of it, but he did grab a pair of flippers. Now, to the bond-holder.

"Hello there good sir!" The Soul Collector greeted the man in the tall chair cheerfully, although the pair had never formally met. "Interesting setup you have going here. My name is Zeph, and this is Uncle." Granted, the Psyder was practically invisible against his dark robe, but it was still polite to introduce him anyway. Uncle observed the other man critically, probing for emotion was the power of his eye. Not insane, although close to it. Definitely tired. Tapping a leg in mild impatience on not getting much more insight into the stranger, the Psyder watched his bonded collect a fishing rod and move to the edge of the dock.

"I believe you would be safer on the dock." Zeph suggested, holding a hand up to his shoulder. Uncle considered the statement for a moment, then slowly clambered aboard, allowing himself to be lowered to the creaking, shifting, platform. Parking himself as near the edge as he dared, the Daddy Long-Legs peered into the water, keen on observing the emotions of the Beorfin.

After figuring out how to put the flippers on, the Soul Collector cast a curious look at Willow, then drew back his rod and cast his line into the water, allowing it to go much farther than hers. He had no fear of being dragged underwater, after all.

Kalsi had recently figured out how to turn on water faucets. Unfortunately, she had not yet learned how to turn them off. Usually she lost interest in running water after a few minutes, but today Ria walked into the kitchen to find her Pyokit chest-deep in the half-filled sink looking both determined and confused. She was so invested in her wading that she didn't even do her standard Ihavebeenspotteddoingsomethingsilly! flee. Instead, she gave Ria a rather serious stare and said in a deadpan tone, Can'ts catch fish. I need saltwater?

But before the Fidus could clamber onto the counter to track down the saltshaker Ria mosied on over to the sink to figure out what her silly Pyokit had gotten herself into. There were about half a dozen brightly colored fishing lures bobbing cheerfully on the surface of the water, a combination of bundled feathers and twisted plastic and of course, large sharp hooks. "Kalsi, these aren't toys...where'd you find them, anyways?" Much to the Pyokit's dismay her bonded began to drain the sink and pick up the lures. They actually would make good toys once she detached the hook...

Pouting, Kalsi flopped down on the counter, rubbing her wet fur into the clean surface. Fishing, weren't playing. I finds them by big lake with lots fishes. Maybe...need to fish there? With bright, hopeful eyes she watched Ria disassemble the lures, paying little attention to the safe bits when they were tossed in front of her. Nope. Fishing. Ria was going fishing today. FISHING. (She made a mess of the feathers once Ria left though, you'd better believe.)

Surprisingly, Kalsi had not been lying about the lures scattered across the Weyrd. With reaching fingers, Ria followed their path, allowing them to draw her towards the lake with their entrancing colors and curious patterns. Once there, she forgot about the lures and stepped out onto the half-circle dock with light, sweeping steps. Now this was people-bait! Big curious structures and only the vaguest idea of what to do next, this was truly interesting.

Well, things weren't too vague. There were Beorfin in the water and a crazed Time Lord on lifeguard duty. Clearly they were going into the water and the scuba gear and modified fishing rods were there to assist them in getting soaked. Which was fine by Ria, who had been scuba diving twice before and knew how to sort through the equipment. And since she'd had the foresight to wear a bikini under some shabby fishing clothes she could slip into a wet suit without scandalizing anyone present~

Wet suits were the best part about scuba diving, clearly. Next to actually being in the water which would hopefully happen rather soon after casting her line. Ria cast the line fearlessly far towards a group of Beorfin, eager to go swimming with them. (Like swimming with dolphins! She'd made it a habit to indulge in every well-to-do tourist activity back home.) Even if there was an Io'thelin staring her down rather ruthlessly...weren't all Beorfin supposed to be gentle and nice?

Dazzle and Adam had been collecting the little objects which Teeka hadn't realized were sharp until she picked one up the wrong way. After that she had joined the pair in picking up the little decorated hooks. Why the Firelizard and Serapheline had started collecting them to begin with, but at least with Dazzle she could assume that it was because they were pretty. Asking Adam his reasons had gotten her a rather unpleasant answer, namely that he liked to play with sharp things. Something about the way he had said 'play' had made his statement especially ominous.

Occasionally as they worked she had to stop to brush her hair back. She had been human...well humanish long enough that her hair was starting to get a bit long. Sooner or later she was going to need to get a hair cut, but since her Shinies hadn't brought it up the notion hadn't occurred to her yet.

Upon arrival at the end of the trail Teeka realized that there was some sort of structure that had appeared where she was sure that there had been none previously. As far as she could tell it wasn't organic, though she was still getting used to having eyes, so it was quite possible that it was some sort of strange tree.

Adam also realized something, that Teeka was not dressed properly for a beach Bonding. The only thing beach like was the flip-flops on her feet. Her blue jeans would be horrible in the water and she was wearing one of those white sleeveless t-shirt things typically worn by males. The Serapheline also had a suspicion that she was not wearing any undergarments, meaning that the jeans were going to be staying on if he had a say in things and that the t-shirt was going to be...interesting.

Well, if any of the people there had a fondness for androgynous, scruffy looking humanoids with dark hair and yellow eyes they were going to be in for a good show once Teeka hit the water.

Unaware of the Serapheline's concerns, Teeka continued on to the structure, where she discovered that there were several people, none of whom she could recognize, though that kind of went without saying.

"Hey everyone, it's me, Teeka. I'm sorry that I can't tell who any of you are, but I'm still getting used to being human. My Shinies are trying to figure out how to fix me, but until then I'm stuck like this. Levaji says he's making progress though."

Hopefully someone would explain what was going to to her since she had no idea what scuba gear was or what it was for. She also failed to recognize the fishing poles as anything other than long sticks since she had never used a fishing pole before.

((I can't believe that I failed to realize this Bonding was happening.))

"What is this doing here?"

Aranel gently pulled on the Pegasus's mane she was riding on to make her stop. Huffing gently, the mare pulled her head to the side to peer at her bonded and watch her dismount. The Nymph-Elf's gaze was drawn to the jungle floor, and so intent was her gaze- and so stark was the confused scrawled onto her elvish features- that the Moonfire couldn't help but reposition herself to get a better look. And that's when she spotted the fish hook that her bonded was so taken with. What...? Charlotte moved her in a few directions to try and see what was so intriguing with the thing, but her gaze drifted further along the path and she saw another one.

....!

With an excited nicker, Charlotte trotted past the now even more confused Aranel to investigate this other hook. The woman looked after her until she saw what the mare was looking at. "Another one?" Well this just didn't make -any- sense. The Nymph-Elf walked back over to the equine and placed a hand on her neck. On a whim, she glanced ahead- sure enough, there was a whole trail of the objects. Curiosity got the better of her, and with a gentle elvish murmur to the lively Moonfire, she pulled herself up onto her back and turned her onto the trail of fish hooks to find the source.

When they arrived at the dock, there were a few things that just...rooted both of the girls to the spot. Aranel didn't even have to command Charlotte to stop, for the mare did so on her own because even she didn't know what to make of this mess. There was a heap of some sort of technical equipment...rubber....suit.....things off to the side, not a few feet from were they were. A man the Nymph-Elf only vaguely recognized was seated in a comfy-looking chair, and the air he gave off...sort of set Aranel to be wary of him. Soon enough her emerald gaze moved on, and she took in the fact that a few were already seated on the dock and were fishing, and there was only one of them that she didn't recognize.

Giving a soft hum, Aranel moved the still-bewildered Charlotte off to the side before dismounting. She spoke to her in elvish for a while, requesting that she remain in the area before removing her cloak and draping it across the Pegasus's back, just behind her wings. With a gentle pet on her nose, Aranel left to approach the stand, retreiving a fishing pole and stepping onto the dock. "As you wish. ...My name is Aranel. It is nice to meet you." She didn't actually know if it was true or not but she didn't want to be rude. She took a seat and cast the line out into the water.

[ooc;] Weeeell this should be entertaining~ I didn't have her bother getting a suit because she wouldn't know what to do with it. I'll just have her use magic to let her breathe under water instead, if that's okay <3]

On your feet boy, or are you planning on spending all day lazing about?

Altair poked his head up out of the pillow pile, blinking groggily before yawning. "Hm?" He hummed, rubbing at an eye as the Omega padded closer. Are YOU going to STAY THERE all DAY or NOT? Amasai enunciated slowly, as if dealing with someone of limited intelligence. The Elven Shifter gave the Toku a half-eyed look before grumbling and turning around to burrow back into the pillow pile. "Go away... I was napping." He growled, flipping his tail at the male before curling up into a ball again. His bond narrowed his pale gray eyes at the man, curling a lip before lunging forward and sinking his teeth into the fox shifter's plush tail. Get up, lazy ass. He snarled, starting to drag the man from the pile. I found something and you need to go. I can always make you go.

The man yelped the minute his tail was clenched between the other's jaws, and he whipped around with a furious growl to glare at him. "I won't go." He said stubbornly, curling his lip a bit as the monochrome Toku stepped forward. However, it wouldn't lead to a fight. A sharp growl from the doorway caught their attention, and the butterfly winged female padded in, her snout lifted high. That is enough. Stand down, Amasai. She ordered, her tone calm. He growled a bit at her, releasing their bonded's tail and turning a bit to face her. He should go. You and I both know that. If he'd stop being such a pus- Shut up already, would you? Don't you ever listen? Altair's eyes widened a bit to see his Beta trot into the room, standing at Alydia's side and glaring at the Omega male with half-lidded eyes.

Amasai gave another soft growl but backed up a bit, ears pinned back. Go figure you'd come sticking your nose in business that isn't yours. He grumbled, sitting down with a huff and curling his tails around himself. Neku rolled his eyes and looked to Altair, pricking his ears forward and looking bored. You know, he does have a point. You should at least investigate things. "Why though? And you'd make me go alone? What if I decided to ditch the idea halfway through? The man replied, tone stubborn as he glared at the be-headphoned male. Instead of answering, he merely turned his gaze to the pretty female next to him, and she peered at him with glittering eyes before turning her gaze to their bonded. Simple. We will send someone with you. Just what he'd wanted. Great.

After some arguing, it was decided that Amasai would accompany the man, and the pair set out of their home, following the fish-hooks until they came upon... Oh dear.

Watching Altair's facial expressions would be almost comical. Widened eyes, a half-smile as if he expected this to be a joke, then gave The Professor a flat look. "Hold my...? No. I just...no." Yes. He rounded on his Omega with another hard look, elven ears flicked back. "No. I don't do good with water.." That's too bad. Stop being a pansy and get to it. He eyed the dock again, a brief spasm of fear flickering in his eyes before he looked back at the Time Lord. Realizing that he wouldn't get out of this, he grabbed all the scuba gear that he'd need and more or less suited up, snatching a pole and taking his place next to his mate, leaving Amasai to watch smugly from the dry area.

It wasn't the Vulcan that paid any attention to the fishing hooks scattered around the weyrd. She wasn't even outside to find them to be perfectly honest. She was sitting in her Shuttlecraft actually getting some work done for once when one of the hooks found its way to her. The hiss of the doors opening didn't make her turn around, but the Solstice perched on her keyboard holding a fishing hook up to her did, and she looked down at Ciliza with a raised eyebrow. The Solstice chirped at her once and then was off again. With a sigh and a shake of her head she grabbed the fishing hook up off her keyboard and set it off to the side. Whatever the lizards were up to she couldn't stop them but she wasn't going to stop her work to find out.

It wasn't even a full ten minutes later before the doors opened again and there was another chip, and this time it was Pau carrying and identical fishing hook. Again it got little more than a raised eyebrow from the Vulcan as she gestured to the other hook and the Noon laid it down there and was off again. She had just gotten involved in her work again when there went the doors and there came Karil and A'tja carrying two hooks between them.

At that point T'Rae just started ignoring them. Whatever shiny baubles they wanted to collect was entirely their business and if anyone came looking for them T'Rae would gladly give them back but it was hardly her problem to go looking for the rightful owners. What did finally draw her attention again was when one of the hooks fell off the pile and snagged her arm, catching in her sleeve and irritating her skin. Carefully T'Rae withdrew the hook again and glared down at the new addition, and then looked up at the steadily growing pile of newest editions that had thoroughly taken over the corner of her desk and it was amazing that only just now had one fallen off enough to get in her way.

A quick count told her that there were thirty three hooks in that pile and really, who on Planet had that many perfectly identical fishing hooks? T'Rae glared at the hooks as though that would give her some kind of answer. She didn't have long to glare before another came in, this one carried by the newest little addition to her Firelizards. Io'coc trilled at her and held up another fishing hook for her examination. The Vulcan sighed and rubbed her fingers over her temples. Another hiss and there was Ciliza again, unsurprisingly carrying another fishing hook in her hands.

"Thirty-five," T'Rae stared sternly at the solstice as she landed on the desk in front of her Vulcan bond looking entirely too pleased with herself. "You all have brought thirty-five fishing hooks on to my desk. Should I take this as an indication that you want something?" The Vulcan questioned sarcastically, pushing away from the desk as Karil and A'tja came back carrying numbers Thirty-Six and Thirty-Seven. With the Firelizards all following her eagerly, darting about and occasionally perching on her, T'Rae went down to the kitchen to fetch one of Raeri's shopping bags, reassuring the Kyae she as only borrowing it and it would be back before the day was over. With the little lizards help she got all Thirty-Seven hooks swept up into the bag and with all of them following her eagerly she was headed out into the weyrd.

"Alright, where did you get them from?" She inquired with stern glare at Ciliza who seemed to be in charge of this whole operation. With Ciliza leading the way and Karil and A'tja darting about, occasionally coming back with more of the fishing hooks to add to the bag much to T'Rae's chagrin, she was led along through the forest and right up to the beach. She gave the scuba gear a quick examination before coming up to the Professor, a man she did not recognize in the faintest. "I am Lieutenant T'Rae," She offered by way of introduction before actually asking her question, "My Firelizards have been bringing me these things all morning, are they yours?" She offered the bag of fishing hooks out to him curiously.

The comment about the fishing poles told her it must be his and when someone mentioned being Teeka the Vulcan turned around. She vaguely remembered the strange face from the bonfires and a cursory mental glance told her that someone that sounded like Teeka was, in fact, around. Well, she couldn't just leave her there. T'Rae rather liked Teeka.

"Greetings Teeka," She left the bag in the sand under the watchful gaze of her problematic Firelizards, "It's T'Rae." She offered as something of an afterthought. She had mentioned not being able to recognize them, and T'Rae was very well aware of what it was like to be trapped in a form you had no idea of and that made life very difficult, and trying to figure out how to get back. In case anyone was still wondering about how she felt about being a tribble and a bird for the brief periods that she had. Hopefully helping out Teeka would be some nice Karma points for prevents those stupid things from happening again, at least for awhile. "Fishing of some sort, I believe, deep sea judging from the scuba gear." The Vulcan explained and if Teeka wanted she would help the, well woman she supposed, with getting it on and getting set up.

Lucas. The Zephyr’s voice was sudden to the boy, and he turned to look at her with a bit of surprise. “What?”Would you like to go fishing? It was probably sufficient to say that the look the young man gave Skye was an odd one, and he gazed at her, not really sure how it was he was to respond. “What?” It wasn’t the most intelligent response he could come up with, but that was the only one that seemed to make any sense in contrast to the words that she spoke. Rather than answering, the Arathlial turned to look out at the river water that rushed nearby, bubbling and ebbed nearby. There was a silence then, a completely and totally awkward one for the water manipulator, but luckily enough, she decided to break the silence.

I don’t think I was able to properly offer you my congratulations on your aging. Trust an Arathlial to speak strangely. Though she wasn’t fully grown yet, she still talked like an old geezer. Another year. Must feel like quite the change. Lucas shrugged his shoulders, looking up at the eagle-shaped shiny, only to look down at the water again, listening to it instead of speaking. “I mean. Same as bein’ twenty-two, ain’t it?” There was a pause again, Skye had a habit of doing that. She liked to talk a lot, from what he could tell, but she liked to think even more. Every second you age makes a difference. He was silent then. Well, wasn’t that obvious? Did he really need the giant bird to sit here and spout wise sayings to him as if he didn’t have a clue?

“I know that.” There was an elongated pause again, and the only sound that passed between the two was the murmur of the water. The outside noise of thoughts only made it more difficult. Water manipulation for Lucas didn’t happen more easily with strong emotions, no. Strong emotions and thoughts just created outside noise that made things more difficult. Being calm and quite was the way to go, really. So would you like to go? It wasn’t like he was going to get the thought off of her mind, and he knew that. For a fleeting moment, he felt almost like Skye was a different shiny every time he spoke to her. And while a like or a dislike didn’t pass through his mind, he did in fact feel like she was a little bit, well, wiser. Little things changed every day, didn’t they? He pushed against the ground and stood up.

“Yeah. Why the f-ck not?”

He still wasn’t totally comfortable with the whole twistering thing, but hell if he’d ever admit that to anyone out loud. Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t Skye that brought him, but Felix. The Tempest was hesitant, but Lucas trusted his skill, more than Skye anyway. The connection he had with him was strangely close, even though he was entirely and utterly paranoid. You don’t need me to stay? he uttered nervously. He was more comfortable at home, with the company of Skye actually, and one of his wings brushed gently against the conch shell that he wore around his neck for good luck.

“I’ll be fine.” Lucas commented with a sturdy pat on Felix’s neck. Though he hesitated, the Tempest nodded his head in some sort of relief, then opened up his wings took a few steps hopping back, then twistered away. Lucas walked towards the dock then, already spotting a bunch of people and some stuff. Fishing rods and scuba gear huh? Lucas didn’t really know what either was for, but he wasn’t sure he was too keen on wearing the scuba gear. He picked up a set, slung it over his shoulder, then picked up a rod with his other hand. He wouldn’t bother putting the gear on until he got on the dock. He controlled water, didn’t you know? He didn’t need this sh-t. He couldn’t exactly breath underwater, but he didn’t really feel the need to. But just in case, just in case.

He stepped carefully, sort of anyway, onto the dock, then quickly found someone that he recognized, and would enjoy the company of. He watched as Ria tossed the line into the water, then smiled. “Aiming to catch something big today?” He called out. He tossed the scuba gear right on behind him, then took a spot next to the woman that had suited herself up. He used one arm to flick the fishing rod into the water, not too far away, or not too close by. “I hope I get somethin’ big, too.” He didn’t really like this waiting game, he was more eager to use his water powers to maybe toss something in the air instead. But he’d play these little games then. It wasn’t like he had much to lose anyway.

Each that greeted him got a greeting in return, he waved off the baskets or bags full of hooks. He had no use for those, not now, they had done what they were intended for. During this greeting process he however did not speak, perhaps it was because he couldn't or maybe he knew that if he opened his mouth he would look even madder then he truly was. Why? The likely hood of cackling was high, so instead he would keep his mouth shut and wince every so often when another handful of images molested his brain. Surveying the group of people that had gathered, his eyebrow raised on occasion, some had not heeded his warning. He hoped for there sake they didn't let go when the pulling began. He moved from the perch of his chair down to sit flat against the stage floor, his back against the 'beam' closest to Adi'ryx.

Willow
The first victim, or well, yeah victim. The line she cast bobbed in the water, on occasion getting a teasing tug, some harder then others. All would have been fine had one not decided to test the warmth of the water without using their own body. A splash, really more a mini tsunami wave, came crashing into the front of her. The perpetrator U Mad? Kel'rhea made his part in the matter known with a lazy twirl closest to the surface, but just like that he was gone again. With the splash the line was pushed from the water and down came a wooden sign. It stopped only inches from her face and in giant writing read TRY AGAIN!. If she decided to try again chances were she would be met with a different fate, it really was only because the beorfin were testing the limits at this point in time. Maybe this time, the scuba mask was in order?

Zeph
The Soul Collector was next and he was obviously up for the challenge, his line going farther and all. But it was doubtful he had prepared himself for the jarring that the dock received, granted it was playful and mainly meant to knock him on his ass. Or it could have been to distract him, yeah, go with that one. Because the dock was given another jolt and the line he had extended was given one hell of a tug, enough to yank him off the dock and pull him under, unless his balance caught him, but if and when Anxiety Cat Kel'rhea had gotten him off said dock, suddenly the beorfin would change it's mind and splash its way back into the depths. Poor Zeph, it seems that beorfin was a soak and go kind of gal. Better luck next time? No sign was received for this lad, but it was almost completely safe to say that he got the message.

Ria
This one either had the absolute best luck in the world or she was just deemed ready to partake in the party. Either way she was greeted by a load of water to the body before multiple yanks came to her fishing line, pulling up on it would be useless and those pulling wanted her to go down. This was translated in one more swift set of yanks, if she didn't release the pole then she would be submerged much as the one before her had been but it wouldn't stop there. Nope, they had a much wetter fate for her. TO THE BOTTOM! Lucky lucky duck, she got to meet the others!

Teeka
She wasn't met with the jarring and playing or the beors like the others, simply because she hadn't been as prepared, but that was okay. The Professor was willing to help her now, now that he actually saw the situation, she'd already received some help from one of the others, but more was needed. "It's simple, I promise. Just grab a pole from the rack behind you, and cast a line. You may want to grab a breathing mask as water up the nose is no fun." The last portion of the statement was punctuated by a splash of water towards the female and a happy trill from the beorfin who done it, their identity remained anonymous because it seemed they took to hiding under the dock below Teeka once they had completed there actions.

Aranel
Little time elapsed between her butt meeting the dock and her line being yanked. The reason behind this was simple and shallow, the Do ALL the Things Caie-lyr had decided that far too few people had met the others and that he would do it properly himself. Oh and that Aranel was simply the perfect play thing. This male was more into the execution of dragging his current friend into the deep. He was in the air and twirling, while holding the line to her pole, before he belly flopped down and took her with him. That would have been fine probably had the victim been wearing a breathing mask, let's hope Aranel has incredible lungs, or this would be an awkward meeting in the deep.

Altair
This poor fella, he had the worst luck of all, those kind and gentle beorfin had seemed to pick him as one of there favorites. Which could be wonderful! But this wasn't, no this was horrible. Especially if the fear that had been displayed before he even cast his pole was any indication. It seemed that this intrigued one closer to the surface. Of course this male could very well have misinterpreted Altair's initial reaction, but oh well it was too late now as I Don't Want to Live on This Planet Anymore Modre-Tu gave a swift yank to the line in question and started swimming full force away from the dock and deep into the water. It appeared that Altair was one of the lucky few to first see Under the Lake.

T'rae
The beorfin couldn't for the life of them find a line to pull for this one. So the CHALLENGE ACCEPTED Kel'rhea took it as her job to alert this non-fishing fisher that she was missing something, a serious of images about fishing were thrown into her dome, some about poles and some about hooks, there was even one were someone had caught something. She trilled happily from somewhere right below the surface and continued on in this patter until she ran out of new images, the old ones would be sent again, and again. It was hopeful that she would get the idea otherwise that beorfin would slam her with a continues loop of the same images for hours.

Lucas
His fate was much like Willow's, a sign to the face and a shower. Only his sign, though still only inches from his face, mocked him, reading alone the lines of IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!?. His line was not given back when the water met his body, it stayed where he had cast it, getting batted at every so often and knocked up into the air before it came back down. If he became frustrated many of the beorfin would trill in an amused fashion, if not well you can bet they were going to try harder. Frustration meant fun, they were kind in nature yes, but they had been copped up in this body of water with little play time for far too long.

Those that were fully submerged and drag deep below the surface would meet a promising fate. Though the tactics of the beorfin were odd, their goal was the same. Once they had pulled you passed the layers of water were light hit and you were consumed in more dark then light, a shape would make itself known. There in the center of nothing, risen only slightly from the bed of this lake was a dome. No ordinary dome for the size of the thing rivaled that of a soccer stadium. The closer to this structure you got the easier it was for you too see a harassment of lights being held hostage in there.

It wasn't until you were dragged under the structure and into a 'tunnel' that would lead you up into the madness, that you would realize it was an a close replica of Atlantis. With a few twists, so it really is like a Carnival Atlantis of the under the lake variety. There is no water inside this dome, a system of 'rivers' weave throughout, for the purpose of keeping the beorfins happy, and always bring you back to the small body of water you entered from. The majority of the Beorfin are down here waiting, whom you approach and the activities that ensue are all up to you.

[ooc; I apologize for the length of these, I didn't want to do too much and confuse anyone or myself. So, I guess I'm taking the toe your way into the deep end method for now. I swear it'll pick up when I get a feel for all of this.

Zeph twisted around as two more people arrived, recognizing neither of them. When Teeka spoke, he realized why he hadn't recognized her - she was now human. Concentrating for a moment, the skeletal man confirmed that he soul was still in place, then waved a hand. "Hello Teeka. I am Zeph." He was unsure whether they had met formally prior to this, but either way, it was polite to let the woman know who he was. Returning to the cast line, he hummed softly to himself as other arrivals streamed in, this time not bothering to turn. If anyone wished to talk to him, they were free to strike up a conversation.

"Uncle, it might not be wise to be so close to the edge..." he murmured softly, feeling a twinge of annoyance from the Psyder. The Daddy Long Legs did scuttle backwards though, and just in time, for the jolt that rocked the dock surely would have sent him into the water. As it was, it caused Zeph to stumble, the man suppressing a yelp of surprise. Someone wanted to play, did they? Surely there was a better way to let their intentions be known other than making him fall into the water! The Soul Collector's silent point was made a second later, as the dock once again rolled under his feet and he found himself being dragged off of it and into the water.

He hit the water with a loud splash, raining droplets down onto his irritated Psyder companion. Zeph remained under for a few moments, the weight of his now-soaked robe slowly dragging him down. But when nothing else happened, he kicked his flipped feet and managed to get to the surface without too much trouble.

"Goodness...That was not much fun." he grumbled to himself, scrambling up onto the wet dock and letting his feet dangle in the water as he decided to sit instead of stand. "Are you alright, Uncle?" he asked, the grumpy Psyder clicking his mandibles to show he was fine. Wet and annoyed, but otherwise fine. Reeling in the fishing line, the Soul Collector made sure the rod and line were still in top shape before casting the again, letting it sail just as far as before. This time, he was ready for whatever Beorfin decided to play.

That all he had? Lucas wasn’t sure if he was supposed to yell out or what, but judging by how some were splashed and others were pulled under water, well, uh, he wasn’t really sure what the point was. Did he want to be dragged under the waves or was he just fishing her? It was clear the these were Beorfin but, well.

Either way he wasn’t wearing the damn wet suit.

If the Beorfin weren’t going to take the bait, and just play with it, he sort of just assumed that he’d have to play along. And hey, really, Lucas liked getting wet. Water was like a second home to him, and the only thing he really needed was the oxygen. He first took off his shirt, and who wouldn’t want to see a sight like that? Next came his shoes, and well, he was wearing jeans and that’d wear him down but at the moment he’d be okay with that. He wasn’t about to strip to nothing. Taking the oxygen tank and mask off of the scuba gear, he wrapped it around his waist somehow (and if that didn’t work the water could hold it in place for him) and looked near the edge of the dock. He dipped a hand in, judging the temperature, and if it was too cold or too warm, especially as he dove deeper under water, he’d adjust the water accordingly.

And well, from there, he was all in.

He leapt into the waves, not even bothering to dip his feet into the water at all. And wherever he was to go wherever he wasn’t, he occasionally took a breath to get some O2 and tried to look around clearing the water away from his eyes because he could and it made it easier that way.

As soon as the handle-lure hit the water Ria settled herself comfortably on the dock to wait for a nibble. She'd been fishing before--well, she'd played the waiting game with a fishing pole before. Having given up out of boredom and having lost a bite due to inattentiveness on separate occasions Ria resolutely decided to pay attention to nothing but her fishing pole and the waters immediately surrounding the submerged line. After taking a few moments to comfortably situate herself (hunched over her legs bent in a diamond shape: feet together, knees nearly touching the dock--hey, it was comfortable for her in a stretchy wetsuit) she kept her attention focused diligently out across the lake.

But while the people offering to return buckets of lures to the Time Lord impersonating a mad lifeguard (... or mad Time Lord impersonating a regular lifeguard?) would go unnoticed, Ria wouldn't ignore Lucas when he took up a spot next to her. She actually welcomed the slight distraction of his company...sitting and waiting could get boring alone. A little innuendo kept all sorts of things interesting. Ria laughed and flashed him a smile, nodding. "A girl can only hope!" she grinned, still keeping one eye on the spot in the water where the handle had disappeared. She gave her line a little flick, pointlessly attempting to speed things along. But if they were both doomed to wait for something big, why not make things a little interesting in the meantime? "Ten bucks says mine will be bigger than yours." Here she briefly turned her whole face towards him, her eyes daring him to take the bet. Not that Lucas seemed the sort to turn down a friendly challenge.

The splash of water would distract her before she could hear his answer and with wide eyes Ria turned herself quickly back in front of the pole, worried that she might have missed a chance to win the contest. She was just in time, it seemed! Leaning forwards with anticipation, she slowly turned her feet until the soles were touching the dock once more and prepared to pull. Despite a few strong counter-yanks, Ria couldn't seem to reel her catch in, and when she relaxed her shoulders for a moment to prepare for a good strong heave the creature on the other line beat her to it. Ria felt herself being pulled forwards quickly; she could barely keep the pole in her hands. Just before she was dragged off the dock she pushed her feet against the very edge, not to try to keep herself on the platform but to push off into a rather hasty dive. Anything to avoid a great big belly flop.

Head tucked, arms pushed straight forwards past her ears, ankles crossed, she entered the water smoothly. For a few foolish moments Ria kept her eyes tightly closed and held her breath--eventually she took a small breath from her breathing mask and with that she opened her eyes. Everywhere was dark, rushing water. She worried that whatever had pulled her down here could not see either and they'd be dashed against the bottom, and then she saw the impressive dome. Ria could only marvel at it for a few moments before she felt herself being pulled through a small tunnel beneath the structure and up into a dry room. As giddy as a kid on a cruise ship, Ria let go of her pole, forgot about it as she pulled herself up and tore off her breathing mask. She was the first here, and though she could hear Beorfin splashing around behind her the only thing she wanted to do right now was press her face up against the interior of the dome. If she squinted her eyes she could just see other shapes being dragged closer. Maybe they'd be able to see her with her palms and chin flat against the glass and a huge crazy smile on her face.

She'd go dip her toes in with the Beorfin in a moment, but for now this was way cool!

The first of the hooks was a curiosity... the second a coincidence... the third, and anomaly. The weyrd was now home to detective Meliai and she was going to get to the bottom of this... no matter that she was a little bit behind everyone else. Being so flashy and pretty the dryad couldn't help but collect them all. In fact, she tied each on into her long, thick mane of hair until it resembled some sort of strange Christmas tree.

The end of the strange trail of fish hooks turned out to me not so much of a mystery, but by that point the dryad really didn't care. It did nothing to dampen her curiosity as she stopped by the heap of scuba gear, not really sure what any of it was. Party favors? Taking a couple pieces she stepped up onto the dock where everyone else was.

She clapped her hands in excitement at the fishing poles. It was a game of some sort! She loved games. Eagerly grabbing one she turned to find an empty spot to sit.

She noticed Zeph and immediately cringed at the thought of how her coming out party had gone. Plopping herself beside him she gave him a shy smile. “I'm sorry about what happened at the party...” The apology was genuine but she didn't seem likely to settle on the subject.

She gave him a strange look, poking at his robe. “You're all wet.” Yes, she was very adept at stating the obvious. Not waiting for an explanation she slipped some flippers on and giggled to herself, waving her legs above the water. “I've got duck feet!” With that she threw her own line into the water. “Did you catch anything yet?” It was very possible the naďve little dryad was in for a big surprise.

Aranel's pointed ears flicked when she heard someone approaching from her side. Turning her head, she only smiled when she saw her mate sit down next to her. One of his bondeds trotted off to where the others' shinies (including Charlotte) were lounging around while they waited for their bonds to be finished with...whatever it was they were doing. Fishing? Odd way of doing it but sure, she'd go along with that. The Nymph-Elf let go of her pole with one of her hands to briefly squeeze Altair's arm, then returned her gaze to the wa-

Oh hello there, Beorfin.

The Cai-lyr jumped high out of the water, a rather impressive height actually, the woman had to admit. The creature had her line tight in it's mouth, and her head tilted just barely to the side as the Beorfin returned to the water and....!

Aranel was so startled she couldn't even make any sort of reaction, other than to be dragged off of the dock and into the water. Immediately her whole body was soaked, and back out in the air her Moonfire managed to catch sight of what happened and reared in her panick. Hey! That was -her- bonded you were dragging under, thank you very much!! It fed through the link that they shared and the Nymph-elf quickly sent the mare a few soothing thoughts to calm her down before she murmured something in Elvish, and then took a deep breath thankfully.

Yay magic?

When a structure slowly became visible in the darkness of the depths, she eyed it with particular weariness. The Beorfin led her down through a tunnel and out inside of the doom itself. The lights she had seen underneath the smooth surface became apparent and she dragged herself out of the water as she peered around. She dismissed her magic, for there was oxygen here and she could breath without it. Slowly she pulled herself to her feet , gazing down at the rivers that ran throughout the underwater city and finally she just shook her head.

"No matter what I see, I am always surprised..." She seriously couldn't get away from all the surprises that Whazzit had to offer. But what was she to do now that she was here? And hey, there were others here, too....

Well. Patience was a virtue, right? So she would just wait and see.

Teeka was glad that T'Rae had introduced herself, otherwise she wouldn't have recognized the Vulcan. The explanation of the situation was also very helpful, as Adam the Serapheline had decided to avoid the water and Dazzle had gone off to a tide pool to try and catch some of the shellfish in it. Fishing was something Teeka wasn't familiar with herself, but she knew of the basic idea and SCUBA gear was another unknown, but since she had no idea what it was she never thought to ask for help putting it on.

The Professors instructions were also helpful since she liked well ordered Bondings. The face mask, once she got her hands on it to get a good feel of the shape made almost perfect sense to her. It struck her as being similar to a gas mask or a very stripped down spacesuit component, both of which she was all too familiar with. Based on the situation and the nature of the equipment she was able to figure out that the mask was for breathing underwater.

Before taking things any further she decided to check out the breathing apparatus, and she was glad that she had, since it took her two tries to figure out how to orient the mouth piece and get the mask part properly over her eyes and nose. Once she was sure that she could put the mask and mouthpiece in without too much trouble she grabbed a pole and decided to have a go at the fishing aspect of the Bonding.

Of course since she didn't eat meat she had already decided that if she caught anything she would let it go, unless Dazzle wanted it.

She wasn't going to put the mask on until she felt it was necessary since water was harmless and the mouthpiece made it impossible for her to talk.

Then Zeph introduced himself.

That was a name she remembered and she remembered it very well. She had liked Zeph a lot then, his no nonsense attitude and the way he had handled the situation had made a very positive impression on her. Getting the chance to meet him at a Bonding rather than during an emergency was wonderful.

Teeka smiled and waved back at him, her response slightly delayed by her surprise at the recollection of their first meeting, "I remember you from the time with the Zombies. We weren't properly introduced then. You handled yourself very well despite the way things went at the end. It's nice that we can finally properly introduce ourselves without worrying about getting mauled, I hope."

She had no idea what was waiting for them at this particular Bonding, so mauling wasn't entirely out of the question, though she hoped that this would be a safe day.

The whole set up was, well, more than a little bit interesting. The man at the center of this was acting more than a little bit strangely, she was debating whether that was because of the situation they were about to face or if he was just plain and simple crazy, the likelihood of both being true seemed high to her at the moment. And to be quite frank she was eavesdropping on the conversation with Teeka as she went about getting her own scuba gear situated and making sure it was all good. She wasn't exactly an expert on the gear but it wasn't all that different from the stuff she was more familiar with.

The Vulcan was only about halfway through this process when her mind was quite suddenly, and quite rudely, interrupted. T'Rae's first instinct was to be stubborn and stop everything that she was doing, but that was quite opposite of everything that she had intended to do and when she did stop moving it didn't seem to please Karil at all since the solstice started trying to put the gear on for T'Rae. The firelizards, it seemed, were far more curious than their bonded this time around. It really was almost a pity that T'Rae was going to have to make them stay behind this time, considering they had dragged her out here and all that.

T'Rae double checked everything was in place as she headed out over the water, the constant barrage of images about the whole fishing thing starting to give her something of a headache. "Okay, you win." She muttered, glaring in the direction of what she assumed was noise from her attacker. Settling herself down comfortably for however long that would last, hadn't there been more people here the last time she had looked around? She adjusted her grip over the fishing pole and tossed the line out into the water.

Well, now what did you want from her?

Altair didn't really get to greet his love. After he'd settled on the dock, looking thoroughly terrified might I add, he only had a little while to peer into the water. His crimson eyes narrowed and he tilted his head, watching the shapes swim about. "Interesting. I wonder- ...!" He had enough time to widen his eyes and flail, gasping as he was yanked into the water. For a terrifying five seconds he thrashed about, trying to fight the thing dragging him deeper into the depths...before he just went still as a lifeless corpse. No, he hadn't passed out - he was mostly just in shock. Despite the fancy equipment allowing him to breathe, the Fox Shifter held his breath, staring dumbly back up towards the surface. This was it. He was going to die. Right here. Calm your tits. You're not gonna drown. The sharp voice of the Omega entered his mind, sounding distinctly unimpressed with the way his bonded was acting.

For the most part, the man didn't respond. He was far too busy writing a mental last will, sending it to his Dragon as he closed his eyes. But to his surprise, he didn't die; he was dragged into some underwater area that might have been a fun place but he wasn't really looking to investigate. Instead of getting up after he was pulled there, he chose to just lie in place, staring up at the ceiling like he wasn't sure what had happened. His normally bushy tail flicked weakly every once in a while, so it was obvious he was alive... Just don't expect a response from him any time soon.

The Time Lord stood from his seated postion as another image was forced into the tissue of his brain. That was his cue, it appeared that the beorfin still closer to the surface were able to handle the last of the torture and he could make his way down to the dome. This was a relief but it also upset him, he hadn't been allowed to use his hurtful signs as much as he would have liked to, those were his payback for the weeks from hell. But alas, here he goes. The breathing mask was pulled over his head and he jumped into the water, Adi'ryx grabbed his wet suit covered arm and they disappeared below the water, to meet with those that had already been pulled into the deep.

Zeph
Not much fun? What ever do you mean? That was beyond fun for the beorfin that pulled you under! You splashed and made a big ole mess with everything. So much fun in fact that they came back for more. Ms Anxiety Cat swam around waiting for Zeph to recast his line and when he did, did she had a surprise for him. She had gone slightly impatient waiting for him, she considered going for his feet dangling in the water, but his line beat her too it. She grabbed it and gave yanked down, flipping and causing waves, only this time she dragged him all the way down. He met the same fate as the previous victims getting pulled up and into the dome.

Once he was inside Anxiety dropped his line and floated over towards her siblings. She had done her job, and drawn attention to the group below, what he did after was entirely up to him.

Lucas
The Beorfin by the surface were shocked, he had taken the initiative to get were everyone else was and jumped in. They showed the shock why hammering him with images of shocked faces and emoticons that were just for said emotion. No one else had jumped in, so for his bravery, U Mad? Kel'rhea swam forward before the others could and gave the fellow a pat on the back with her fin. When she was sure her congratulations had been understood she grabbed his arm, whether he liked it or not, and started pulling him into the depths.

The female was pleased with herself, so pleased that when they managed to get up the dome and out of the tunnel, she didn't release his arm. He would have to make moves to get rid of her, right now she was too busy being pleased and showing him so with images that made her happy. So guess what Lucas, you can stay in that pond and get pruney, or get out and break her itty bitty Beorfin heart. She may accept your apologizes or not.

Ria
They probably should have took insult to the fact that she went straight for the dome and paid them no mind, but instead they all looked at each other and the image they through her way seemed unanimous against the group. Ria see a pigs nose pressed against glass, flatter then a pig nose should be. Apparently this was what they thought of when they saw her demonstrate this position. The image hadn't been meant to be an insult, but who knows how the woman would take it. Some people were so touchy these days.

Meliai
This little lady was being watched from right under the dock, a rather awkward female was trying to decide the best way to go about this, she was still trying to work through her awkward phase as it was and her siblings had made it clear to her that she needed to not kill these people with awkwardness, that was the one and only way she was able to pull people from the surface. So far so good, but now was the test. Instead of grabbing the line cast into the water like every other normal Beorfin, the Awkward Moment When Kel'rhea had to do things her way she grabbed Melial's flipper sporting foot and yanked her off the dock that way.

This would really only be awkward for the girl as the other knew exactly where she was going and what she was going. They zipped through the darkness of the water toward the dome, they reached it and made it up the tunnel in what seemed like record time. The little awkward Beorfin managed to run into the edge of the pond in the before releasing the girls ankle and rushing towards her siblings to share that she had done it with little to no awkwardness.

Aranel
The Beorfin perked up when they saw her, more people! They each sent her what appeared to be a freeze frame of a parade, confetti floating in the air. Though the disappointment that she had not approached on of them showed on their faces. Even though they knew they had plenty of time, they were anxious for the people to take notice and play with them. So instead they splashed around and caused attention to be brought their way, she had much more room to move then they did. They only had their rivers, which was better than not having anything at all. Plus, the Beorfins wanted to feel special, approaching them first meant that you might love them one day.

Teeka
The remaining ones on the surface gave this females line a jerk and successfully pulled her under. The actual puller to the deep was a mystery but the helpful others had left seconds after she hit water to make it up and into the dome before the leader did. They needed to be in place and ready about four seconds ago. The mystery Beorfin snaked through the water and up into the dome shortly after the others. Before their identity was found out they released the line and with the others before Teeka had even made it up to the surface. She was fine right? Sure, she wasn't dead, if anything just a little water lodged.

T'Rae
The perpetrating Beorfin beamed with accomplishment, she did very much enjoy winning, maybe even too much. The second her butt had settled on the dock and her line touched the water, the attacker grabbed for it and yanked the woman down under the cool water. No need to wait, she had won her challenge and now she needed to complete her task. They whipped through the water, the beorfin leading the way would occasionally do some show boating, spinning and just barely dodging obstacles. It heightened the level of fear and also the level of accomplishment when she finally got to her destination.

They made it up the tunnel and into the dome with no trouble. The beorfin released the line and splashed over to the others. That beaming smile of accomplishment still heavy on her face.

Altair
Not on this planet anymore male had felt bad, the fox shifter had damn near had a heart attack when he pulled him under, and it didn't get much better, he went slack and his weight had double. It caused him to slow his pace if only a little but the slow gave him the opportunity to send images that were supposed to be soothing. They probably weren't, soothing to this fella was a vast body of water he could slosh and swim around in without a care in the world.

When they got were they were supposed to go the male released the shifter with one last look of sympathy before he slowly made it towards his siblings, he had almost wanted to stay and continue with the image soothing, but perhaps the man would be better by himself right now.

When the others arrived the Professor had long stripped from his suit and was now sitting on the edge of one of the many intricate rivers following through the dome. He was stroking the water and the tops of many Beorfin heads when they swam by and splashed water over the end. They were all calm and content now, everyone was were they should have been to begin with, and a game had been played. Now they just wanted interactions. If anyone needed help or had questions the brown eyed Time Lord would assist but it seemed simple enough. Pick one, make them love you, possibly form a bond. "Lots to do in here surprisingly, why don't ya'll show these kids a good time?"

Before another moment could go by Mel felt something grab onto her foot. Unaware this was all a part of this little “game,” she cried out in panic. The fishing pole splashed down into the water and her hands immediately searched for something to hold on to. As she felt her body begin to be pulled toward the water her hands found only the smooth floor of the deck and the scuba gear that was placed beside her and not attached to anything. In another second her body was swallowed.

Terror seized the dryad as the water closed in above her. She couldn't help but recall another time when she had been pulled beneath the surface with no control over it. The memory was not a pleasant one and it took all her will to not let panic completely take over. Remembering the gear in her hand she scrambled to untangle it, her lungs already starting to burn. Her fumbling was successful and he took thankful breath from the mouthpiece as the Beorfin dragged her to some unknown destination.

Rather suddenly they came upon the shore line and Meliai had never been so happy to find land and oxygen. Weakly, she dragged the rest of herself up onto the shore, gasping and sputtering the last bits of water from her lungs. With shaking arms she propped herself up to her knees and wrung out her mass of hair that was now pounds heavier than before the whole water incident. She turned to watch the Professor warily as he spoke. He was responsible for all of this after all.

So... she was supposed to go out and play with the lovely creatures that had just nearly drowned her (and some others by the look of it). Pardon her reluctance. Crossing her arms she she studied the shinies curiously, but made no move to enter the water again. Expecting more swim time, however, she properly donned the rest of her scuba gear. No drowning dryads at this bonding!

Zeph turned back to Teeka as she spoke. They hadn't interacted much prior to this, but he did remember her from the zombie incident as well. Granted, he had been too preoccupied saving himself and the others to pay much attention to her particular actions, but he vaguely recalled that Teeka had handled herself well. "Thank you, thank you." he replied, mildly embarrassed at the praise. "You handled the situation very well yourself." Looking between his line and her, he chuckled and nodded. "I highly doubt we are going to be mauled this time." Beorfin - at least the three he owned - seemed to be far more gentler than a horde of raving zombies.

Zeph was waiting patiently for a bite a few minutes later when he heard someone settle down next to him and turned to see Meliai there. "Hello." he acknowledged kindly. "Think nothing of it, madam. Parties tend to be stressful occasions, even if everyone else says they are fun." he said, accepting the apology with a nod. The Soul Collector was glad to see that Mel was well, and he chuckled when she poked his robe. "Yes, I did get a bite - it dragged me into the water and I got soaked." he explained. He wanted to say more, but before he had a chance, something grabbed his line and pulled.

Like last time, he ended up in the water, but this time he wasn't released. He struggled against the Beorfin dragging him down, his fear of being submerged by water with no way to escape momentarily dominating his mind. But he soon controlled himself and let himself be pulled through the dark water, dimly aware of at least one other person being pulled past him. Kicking his flippered feet to help him get to wherever he was being taken faster, Zeph took the opportunity to look around. There wasn't much to see except water on either side, but there was something rising out of the lakebed...Wonder replaced fear as he was pulled closer, examining the massive structure with growing curiosity until they entered the building and he was deposited at the 'shore'.

Zeph yet again clambered up onto dry land, leaving his feet dangling in the water like before. "Are you alright, Mel?" he asked worriedly, seeing that the young woman looked rather nervous. Perhaps he could help steady her nerves with some light chit-chat.
