The new school year has brought quite a few changes - new headmaster, a full time Ministry Inspector, new prefects, new quidditch captains...and a new Professor Malloy. Obviously everyone is going to have to adjust to the fact that grouchy Potions Master married the vivacious Care of Magical Creatures - including the newlyweds who have discovered that by the school year's end there will be a little Malloy. Luckily for Victoire this gives her a chance to work with a pre-natal patient during her practical healing placement rather than when she returns to London for an actual job. A nice conversation about reading for the time being, but with Vic's worries buried under the surface and Sofie's filler completely off due to hormones...this could go anywhere.

East Tower
This tower serves a very odd collection of functions. The base of the tower leads to the school's laundry system as well as various rooms to store supplies needed by the school. Quidditch gear is also kept on a mid level floor in rooms accessible by the Quidditch captains.
Towards the top of the tower Arithmancy is taught by Professor Vector. Considered the only subject more difficult than transfiguration, this is not for the faint of hearts and requires a head for numbers. Professor Vector's office is one floor up and students hoping to use the tower as a spot for tryst need to keep their ears out for her.

Astronomy Tower
As the tallest of the school's towers, the Astronomy Tower offers spectacular views of the night sky and landscape surrounding Hogwarts. Astronomy is taught by Professor Sinestra with each level getting a different night for stargazing. Twice a month she also hosts a stargazing club for students who do not take her class any more.
When classes aren't in session this provides a very romantic spot for couples - just make sure you don't get caught snogging after hours.

Owlry
The Owlry acts as the home for the owls belonging to both the students and the school itself. It is an open tower with wide windows that are spelled to let the animals in and out while repelling the weather; keeping the room comfortable for any who enter regardless of the tower not having doors or glass windows. One is advised to watch their step - you never know what you'll find on the floor during the quest to send a letter.

Headmaster's Office
The entrance may be on the seventh floor but the behind the gargoyle is the revolving staircase which takes you up to the office of brand new headmaster Jacques Devereuax. The office is decorated with portraits of past headmasters and headmistresses (excluding the still living Minerva McGonagall) as well as several nods to Professor Devereaux's personal taste in décor. A door to the back of the office leads to the headmaster's personal chambers.

Gryffindor Common Room
Hidden behind the portrait of The Fat Lady (who must hear the proper password to open up) is the home of the Gryffindor students. Decorated in red and gold, large fireplace dominates one wall and squashy armchairs of various sizes allow students to rest comfortable among friends after a day of classes. Off to the side are two sets of staircases which lead to the dorms and house bathrooms. Each dorm room contains five four poster beds with a small amount of space for personalization. Boys are not able to get into the girls dorm as the will stairs turn into a slide if they try. Girls however are able to get into the boys dorm.

Ravenclaw Common Room
Guarded a bronze eagle knocker that by uses riddles as a test of knowledge rather than a password lies the Ravenclaw Common Room. By fair the airiest rooms in the castle, Ravenclaws have a spectacular view from their windows and several desks and workspaces for students to catch up on their assignments. A statue of Rowena lies at the base of a staircase leading to the dorms and student bathrooms. Each dorm has 5 four poster beds with a small space for personalization. Girls are able to enter the boys dorms but boys cannot enter the girls dorms. Those that try suddenly find themselves sliding down a chute that deposits them outside of the common room door, forcing them to answer a new riddle to re-enter the tower.
