Astronomy normally doesn't prompt these, but since I'm finished with my star chart, I have nothing better to do.

I managed to get Joyce alone at Hogsmeade for a bit and had a bit of conversation there - even managed to get a couple subtle hints in about non-dates. Which means at some point this week after afternoon classes are done, she's going flying with me on the pitch. A perfect opportunity for you to try and corner Davies. Though why you haven't made like Harper's mother and spiked his drink yet is beyond me. Depending on whether or not that old passage way Potter mentioned last week has been fixed, there might be a Slytherin victory party at the abandoned shack after we cream Hufflepuff - skip it and again corner Davies. Assuming of course the passage works otherwise it's a no go. I'm not skipping a victory party in the common room.

Next up is Christmas; should I send something as a lure? Obviously something that can't be considered romantic at this point? (PS hints that fit my budget would be nice!)

i'm surprised you even finished that darn chart, kev.
it just doesn't seem like you, though i suppose your
not so subtle hint that writing to me is better than
doing nothing at all should come as no surprise ...

you're going flying with joyce? that's funny, i don't
think she's mentioned that to me yet, which is a
bit unusual given she usually shares everything
with me. i shall have to find a way to ask about it
without seeming as though i'm asking about it.

unlike harper's mother, i would like to have robbie
adore me of his own accord, and not because i've
drugged him, tricked him, or any of the other things
you're insinuating i might try. that's plan e, and at
the moment we're on plan ... c, i think.

you had better hope your silly quidditch team does
cream hufflepuff so i can corner robbie. i want
you to know that it's much harder to get him alone
than you would think. if you have any sage offers of
advice, now would be the time to share them.

she likes books -- that's not terribly romantic for a
gift. or a new quill set, or ... i'll keep thinking. your
budget is pitiful these days. i don't know what you
did to make father upset enough to lower your monthly
allowance, but whatever it was, i suppose i can be nice
and help you out if need be in buying joyce's gift.

i've decided to stay behind at the castle this year for
the christmas holiday. are you going home to endure
mother's latest idea for a family gathering? i figure
i can get more done if i'm here and everyone else is
gone. it'll give me time to think without playing the
mini-hostess alongside mother for christmas dinner.

Star charts are one of the easiest things to fill out. Especially if you're sitting near Weasley and he's not paying attention. And excuse me for taking up your oh-so-precious time. I though'd you'd like to know that your little scheme is finally progressing at a good enough speed. But if not...

Considering I just asked last week, she may not even had time to process it yet. Besides we can't go until after Wood and her team leave the pitch. she put Pritchard in the Hospital wing because some hex she used made him grow tentacles all over his face. She's paranoid about spies at her practices and I'd prefer to not get the same treatment. After all, I really don't have the face to pull of tentacles.

Hey, you have to admit, Harper's mother played it pretty smart. He's stuck with her 'til the day one of them dies. And if this is plan c, then what was a? Or b if the summer fiasco was a. And please. When it comes to quidditch Hufflepuff is a cakewalk. They only have a few returning players this year. The only worry is the location of the party since Joyce obviously can't come to one in our common room.

Ok, books. That would be so much more helpful if you, oh I don't know, gave me a type! And my budget is not that pitiful. I just owe father some money since I needed assistance getting new quidditch gear this year. The ones I had last year wouldn't even fit you. However trying to sell used gear doesn't get you full value so I needed funds for the difference. Hence the decrease in my allowance. Besides even if I did have the regular amount, I'd still like some of it for me.

As to the holidays I haven't decided. Grandmother is apparently staying the season with Mother which is a big minus, however it's rather boring here. However in the interests of our arrangement if Joyce stays I'll stay to keep visible.
