The new school year has brought quite a few changes - new headmaster, a full time Ministry Inspector, new prefects, new quidditch captains...and a new Professor Malloy. Obviously everyone is going to have to adjust to the fact that grouchy Potions Master married the vivacious Care of Magical Creatures - including the newlyweds who have discovered that by the school year's end there will be a little Malloy. Luckily for Victoire this gives her a chance to work with a pre-natal patient during her practical healing placement rather than when she returns to London for an actual job. A nice conversation about reading for the time being, but with Vic's worries buried under the surface and Sofie's filler completely off due to hormones...this could go anywhere.

Flying Notes
Every school has at least one thing in common even if Hogwarts does it differently. That is note passing.
But at Hogwarts, the notes fly and can go between classrooms or common rooms. Have something you need to tell a friend right away? Just jot them a little note and send it off with a spell.

Sublevels and Dungeons
In the sublevels, students will find the Kitchens (just tickle the pear!), the Hufflepuff Common Room, and, though it has been lost for 1000 years, the heart of Hogwarts.
In the Dungeons, students will find the Potions classroom, private store rooms, and the Potions' professor office. As well, down there is the Slytherin Common room and some unused dungeons that Flich would love to get to keys to.

Ground Floor
Here is where students will find the Entrance Hall, the Great Hall and a number of other rooms. Just be careful. Even though Filch wonders around the school, his office is down here.

Here is where students will find Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom, some unused classrooms, and the statued entrance to the Headmistress' office.

Third Floor
Here is where students will find a corridor that was once banned from entrance back in their parents' generation, the trophy room, and the Charms Corridor. Don't forget about the statue of the Hump-Back Witch that lingers on this floor.

Fourth Floor
Here is where students will find the Ravenclaw's most prized place, the Library. As well, one of the two prefect bathrooms are on this floor and one of the worse trick stairs in all of Hogwarts.

Fifth Floor
Here is where students will find the second prefect bathroom as well as lots of unused classrooms. Perhaps even some secret societies. As well, on this floor is the entrance to Ravenclaw Tower: passed a bronzed eagle knocker and up a winding stair case.

The Towers
The various towers of Hogwarts have the most spectacular views in all of the castle. Two of the towers are home to the common rooms of the Gryffindor and Ravenclaw students while a third is used primarily for Astronomy classes. The owlry is located in the West Tower while the remaining tower serves as the residence for the school's headmistress.

Hogwarts Grounds
The awe inspiring Hogwarts castle rests on an expansive property bordering a very large (and cold) lake as well as a thick forest. The grounds themselves are very hilly and and are dotted with various wild flora as well as gardens for the castle use. Standing alone on the grounds are Hagrd's hut and the pavilion used for Care of Magical Creatures classes.

Hogsmeade Village
Hogsmeade is the only entirely wizarding village in Britain. It's a picturesque little village of thatched cottages and shops, with enchanted candles hanging in the trees during the holidays.
As Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year.

Summer 2022
Strange things happened at the end of the 2021-2022 school year. A ministry team has been dispatched to the castle to investigate the reports of a possible second poltergeist or spirit. Meanwhile students have no way of knowing if the school is going to reopen anytime soon and new graduates must prepare to enter their adult lives.

Happy 4th Birthday
