The 456 are gone, their own frequency used against them.
In their wake they leave a world destroyed. The Hub, base
of Torchwood Threeís operations, has been demolished,
the politicians are in shambles, and Cardiff, the whole of
the UK, in fact, is looking worse for the wear. Captain Jack
Harkness has commenced to rebuild Torchwood, with one
huge missing piece: the rift is closed. Ianto Jones' ghost
sealed the Rift with an explosion, his last act as a Torchwood
employee, and now Torchwood must rely on their confiscated
alien technology even more than before. Like the olden days,
before the Hub was a pile of rubble. Just because the Rift is
out of commission doesnít mean there arenít hordes of aliens
around. Indeed, a new challenge has been presented to every
alien species that steps foot on Earth. In order to prove their
worth, they need only do one thing: destroy Torchwood.
On top of the physical issues plaguing Torchwood, and Earth,
a much great problem stirs. Time is going wonky. Space is full
of pockets to get trapped in. Untold dangers lurk in every dark
corner and dip in space. Time is unbending. Who knows whatís
coming out of the darkness? Not even the Doctor can guess. He
and his companions continue on as they have been, running from
the horrid truth as always, but not for long. Soon the dark days
will catch up with even the Lonely Angel.
Impossible things are happening everywhere and time is changing.
