I have conflicted feelings with the church. I feel like it has a great many benefits and the general idea of the church and it's purpose is great in theory. However I've come to have a negative bias against the church greatly from finding that it's past is riddled with such an astounding amount of hipocracy and harm. It is difficult to eradicate the negative side effects and influences of the church's past with present-day church. I find that they create a community of closed-mindedness, negative judgement and hipocracy. The values that are taught in theory are practiced in a way that has become insidious.
Those within the folds of the church's protection may genuinely benefit, however their ability to consider various different realities might be blinded by the very thing that benefits them. This works for certain individuals if they don't have to interact in the wide world where they may experience painful conflicts.
This is where my lingual ability putters out.
*smiles* play nice Milosh, your patience is unbecoming. Especially considering I think that twilight WAS contributing just without expressing the point directly. I would interpret their brief statement as: "I disagree with the church and/or organized religion/faith. Individuals should strive on their own to find what they would otherwise hope to through the church." Do you find my words more stimulating to discussion or shall I attempt to push buttons to get the ball rolling?
Cause I generally find the church more harmful and detrimental to the general populace if we are considering that a populace should be willing to be open minded, understanding, accepting and adaptive.
