Brian Vera stops wonder-mick Andy Lee, handing the Irish phenom his first loss.
Maybe an upset of the year candidate right there. |

I m just happy I caught the tail end of In this Corner last night. They're showing the Pacquiao Marquez fight from last weekend and all I have heard is that it was one of the best 3 fights of his career and anyone who has watched Manny fight knows this will be a wicked one to watch.

That Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight was fucking awesome! Man, what a match. Toe to toe in nearly every round. Knockdowns, near KOs, cuts, blood...it had it all. Total back and forth action. One minute you think Pacquiao is gonna finish him and then the next Marquez has him on the ropes. If this isn't the match of the year then it will be a travesty. I honestly think this should have been another draw although if there was a decision to be made, i think they made the right one. |

Joel Casamoyer stops Michael Katsidis in what is supposedly another fight of the year candidate. I say supposedly because TSN's Curling broadcast meant no fight coverage north of the border.
This win sets up a sweet Nate Campbell-Casa fight to determine the undisputed Lightweight champion. I can't wait 'til this one leaks to the interwebs. |

For the second time Antonio Margarito has made quick work of Kermit Cintron, knocking him out in six rounds. On the same night, Miguel Cotto obliterates (I toyed with a few different adjectives - destroyed, manhandled, demolished - but this is the only that truly communicates the extent to which Cotto just carved through his opponent) Alphonso Gomez.
The two victories now set-up a July megafight between the top two Welterweights in the world (hear that, Floyd?). The contract is already signed. I can't wait. WAR COTTO/TONY! |

Round 1 , Calzaghe dumped on his ass with a Hopkins short , quick right .at 1:30 , up quickly though and no aftereffects .
The Aggressor for most of it , with more punches thrown from Round 3 onward , Calzaghe wins a split decision over Hopkins . This post has been edited by roue999 on Apr 19 2008, 10:14 PM |

The contract has been signed! Ten weeks from now, it's on...
(Posted Image) (Posted Image) Cotto - Margarito! How can't this be Fight of the Year? If Cotto wins this, there's no way Floyd can duck him any longer. |
