In addition to the screens now being placed around the southend, I propose we invest in a jet pack so we can fly Bobby all around the stadium.

Having him be able to scoot up to row 20 or jet over to section 105 will really help to bring the fans together.

I am surprised no one is asking Bobby to hold up little posters with words..
Yes it's very hard to hear row 10 and above, thus the trick is to have "secondary" capo(s) in the middle of the stand, say row 12.

I like this idea, because then the whole section hears and sections beside will keep up.

thats my usual spot in 113, and its not the lack of singing from the usec already there, its the lack of wanting to participate from a lot of other people. despite a large group of hardcore, there's also a ton of people that are not interested in going all out. no matter what you do, these people wont participate.

For sure, some just wont sing no matter what and will bitch about quality of play and flags. Others do want to sing and with a bit of "encouragement" actually do join in.
Naturally, if we're being killed on the field, no one will sing.

:P

I'm in 114 and maybe it's me but unless I watch Bobby and exactly what he is doing I get lost. You really can't hear anything over the first 8 rows of 114 or so all talking during the chant(s).

I think U&P has a point there in that what may work better than a speaker would be screens.

A 50-60" screen turned sideways would be about as big as Bobby is in real life (from waist up), put one at the bottom of ALL the sections, maybe mic him up and even a semi-loud speaker to accompany all the screens would work.

Small investment for a LOT of added atmosphere.

Last night just about the entire stadium was standing, if that was anybody's first game at BMO, even with the wind and cold they are going to be coming back.

What fucking planet are you from?

The point is that it is less to do with sound and more to do with conducting.

If there were screens from 110-116 everyone would be in time.

How is this stupid other than that you have a hard on for me already?

Are you afraid that if others are conducted and in time it will take away from your 'ultraness' or something?

pls tell me you're joking.....

No, he has a point, but he's thinking too limited. If you use your imagination it all comes clear. A couple of points though:

Rather than incurring the devaluation/insurance/damage risks of our own screens, I would simplify things and simply have whatever we would show on them put on the main screen at BMO. Imagine how awesome the atmosphere would be if we could coordinate everyone, not just the south end, by guiding them with song lyrics etc.

Background music to help with songs could be pumped through the main speakers. And instead of capos we could use attractive and scantily clad women strategically placed around the stadium leading cheers. We just have to come up with a catchy name for them.

I don't know why nobody's thought of this before. We could have some of the best football atmosphere in the league. Maybe the world!

You guys are so closed-minded sometimes.

Ahhhh... Now I get the point of it being retarded. I meant for BMO to install the screens/cameras etc.

I NEVER meant for supporters to pay for/bring screens.

I'm pretty sure this was part of Sel Presidente's election campaign.

I am almost always sitting (standing) in roughly row 12 or 13. It was hard to hear Bobby last night, but I think mostly because of the wind killing the sound.

Typically, the singing dies off around row 7 or 8 quickly. Sometimes I stand on my seat to try to get the people behind me into the chants too. It's not a terrible idea, the mid-section capo. I'm not sure the best way to get 114 & 115 more involved, other than a roof.

But it really isn't about sound as much as directing. The sound is carried by the guy in front of you, but if you aren't in time you have to stop, listen to get your place and then start again.

For example, at the start of every match Bobby does the fantastic 'When the Reds come Marching In' the tempo changes through the song so if you aren't right up there you need to see his HANDS more than hear his voice.

Why do you guys think choirs have directors? You likely don't want to think of yourselves as a choir but that IS essentially what you are when singing.

This has been nothing short of a 3 page gongshow thus far lol.

Truth be told I don;t think anybody enjoys the off rhythm chants but screens are a dumb idea in my books. I could imagine a couple of tiny ass speakers at the top of each setion in the corner and south end but could also imagine some drunk frat boys snagging said speakers as souvenirs and facebook status bragging.

The solution to the problem is to get louder megaphones and coordinate between capos. And if people don't sing then Bobby can throw quarters at random fans as he pleases.

ooooh, that was low... dumbass

Not that it matters you fucktard but I had likely done more work for social justice by the time I was 20 than you will do in your life.

If I WERE a conservative it isn't an insult, and if I am not, I don't give a shit what some kid who likely lives in his parents basement and jerks off to anime has to say about how I may vote.

If your world view is that freaking myopic that the BEST thing you can come up with to insult someone who is calling you an elitist football nazi is that I vote conservative please give me your address and I will send you a thesaurus so you can at least insult me properly.
