Re-watching the game today and I have to say that Lambe really stuck out as a hard worker and fast as well as skilled.
He could have used a little more support up top but he seemed to do his job well. Thoughts on this? |

I like the taste better than chicken to be honest, even better with tzatziki.

Would like him to use his speed and be able to cross the ball like Johnson

Looks too soft and frail from what I've seen. I also wasn't impressed with how he gives up on plays.

I thought he did a lot more than Plata did in the match. Plata is always dangerous on the ball over the top but he is losing posession way to easily with the ball at his feet. Lambe at least seemed to be able to make that one move and get the ball to the next man or into the box.

I thought Saturday was the best performance we've seen from Reggie so far, compared to his past outings...he did a fair bit to build up the attack during the first half, after we gave up the early goal. The big question for me is whether he looked that good because of how lacking everybody else was...whether he can contribute like that or not, when everyone else is going good too.

I agree but if we want to win now I think Soolsma is a better option to start. Bringing Lambe off the bench to cover for a tired Plata/Soolsma instead of the puzzling Maund substitutions would be fine with me. |

Neither Soolsma nor Lambe should start if everyone is fit. I'm all for keeping guys fresh, but not at the expense of a constantly changing, chemistry-less XI. Lambe hasn't impressed so far, including in Fla, but it's early yet. |

I am surprised at the reaction to Lambe, I agree you need 10+ games to judge a player but he does his job well, is fast and keeps possession.
If Eck and Morgan can be free to move up the flanks I think there will be enough support to start having our boys put the ball in the back of the net. My $.02, I would like to see Koovermans start and get a couple of goals in while he has fresh guys to serve him the ball and if he is tired pull him later instead of vice versa. |

most of this. yeah, it was the first time i've been impressed. some of the Ricketts-esque moves were the first glimmers of "ohhh, THAT's why..." but some of the Ricketts-esque softness/unwillingness to get stuck in... we're going to take to calling him Lambeykins - if he does well it's a tribute, if he stays soft, it works as well... |

In the final third, to me, he showed very little. I'd like to see more creativity and consistency.
Still too early to judge, though. |

Not too impressive, but as many before have pointed out, it's still very early. I won't pass judgment quite yet.
