The club is reporting that Frings will be lost 4 to 6 weeks with a pulled hamstring!

Not unexpected.
It's a long season. Better to have him around for the whole summer than rush him back chasing fool's gold in the CCL semis. |

We really need to sort out the CB position now, hopefully Cann will be back and in the mix sooner than later! I think we have decent midfield depth to lessen the blow of missing him!

Winter's feet are to the fire now, and we'll have a clearer picture of how far his team remodelling has really come.
Having Frings as the all-over cleanup and fixit man has been a good idea from the POV of providing cover to develop the team, but it also obscures the picture of how good the team is behind him. So now we see. This post has been edited by herthabsc on Mar 20 2012, 08:54 AM |

He is going to be key, hopefully he is fit and up to the task! He sure looked much better when he was surrounded with some quality, unfortunately much of that quality was Torsten Frings! |

one non-CCL shame is the number of soon-to-come (imo quite winnable) home games that are pretty key - not that you can make the playoffs in April + May. but you can sure as heck start the job of missing them... get better soon, Torsten!!! |
