Gashley's screw up for the third goal .... PLEASING.

Poor Steve Bruce, left to explain how his team could get destroyed by Toon, then stroll over Chelsea in the space of two weeks. "Ehm, it's a funny old game?"

Sunderland were quite sensational yesterday.......a real team performance and they showed a huge inclination to go forward at speed and keep a fluid passing movement going......I wasn't really sure who I would have picked for the man of the match....was it Zenden or Richardson or Welbeck or Onuoha or Bardsley.....was never sure and that just inforced how much of a team display it was.

It was all very smooth, fluid and professional....sure Chelsea were missing a few but I am not sure how much difference it would have made.

Villa showed spurts of that kind of football too (particularly the first 20 - 25 minutes of the second half) against United on Saturday, but Sunderland did it for pretty much the entire 90....it was a pleasure to watch.

Chelsea fans boo'd their team yesterday. Staggering, absolutely staggering. They have truly lost the plot.

Ancelotti out!!

Horror show that was. I saw Sunderland play Spurs, last week and thought they showed promise. But didn't think they could crush CFC as they did. Wow. But every team needs a bit of a shake now and then even if they're sitting at the top of the table.

I am not surprised to be honest. Someone mentioned that if we had full squad if that would make any difference. Let's think for a second.. Lapms + Essien in the mid, Terry with Ivanovic or Alex at them back... I can fault Ferreira on at least one goal, in fact I'd rather see some youth starting game vs finishing it when we're down by 2.
All this said, nothing to take away from black cats, they were fantastic!

If not Petr we'd have lost by at least 5 ;)
Whole team looked like shit, point finger at anyone, you wont be wrong. We were weak on D and Mid, thus there was little service to forwards. Too much individual effort and not enough team to play, Carlo's got his work cut out. Especially when Terry and Alex could be out for months. We'll depend on youth now, which is not that bad when you think about it as we have descent mix of experience and youngsters.

You should've seen the smile on my face when that goal was scored...

Chelsea's midfield on Sunday was complete and utter shit. They can afford to miss either Lampard or Essien, but with Ballack and Deco now gone, they can't be missing both. Losing Terry and Alex at the last minute didn't help either. A team is only as strong as it's middle, and Chelsea's was mighty hollow in that game.

Tough fixture list for them in December too...still, I don't expect them to fall off too much. Yet.

First period today was rubbish once again. Perhaps it was them kids nervous, not sure, but in the end we've got through ;) Score doesn't give credit to all of them chances that we've created in the second half, but win is a win.
Carlo eclipsed Special One again, best ever start to CL campaign! :campione: :campione:  :campione:

I'd pay money to see Cahill and JT kick the shit out of each other. Good money at that.

Petr Cech has a vagina.

Another day another loss, Carlo must be wishing he had Wilkins by his side... his dismissal started this slide. Bet, spuds can't wait to play us this weekend. Question is, how long ruthless "russian" will wait before sacking yet another manager. :ph43r:

At this rate, good bye Europe.. :o

Why did Carlo refuse to switch formation today? He knows better of course, but I can't see Jose nor Guus do that.

Despite the double last year... I think he's in trouble. The old adage "what have you done for me lately" comes to mind.
